Isn’t it shtrange how Jorch posted almost exactly the same thing last week?
Dave Noorie knows that isn’t true, and the defenders of Julie’s dad should know it too.  Linnea passed away in April of 2011.  Yet, here is Dave Noorie’s on-air fundraising plea, in 2004, asking listeners to donate money to FF because it was failing:  http://www.seti-teamartbell.com/FFPlug110504.mp3.  It’s ironic that he credits FF with telling him what they’d like him to do to improve too. 

Although the original FF equivalent of “George Noory Sucks” was deleted by the owners in 2003, a few lingering critics resurrected it in 2006, (after George gave Spike Mike $500, causing the daily C2C listening thread to disappear in 2005)  It’s titled “Nooryisms” and you can find it here:  http://www.fantasticforum.com/1res/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20764&perpage=15&pagenumber=1.  You’ll see that George was still posting in that thread too, and that nothing we say about him in GNS is anything he hasn’t heard before; many times over for many years.

Why has George never posted in his own fan forums:  FF2, Imaginative Worlds, and the original coast to coast am forum?  Why did he target only FF, and now BellGab?  Because the original FF was the most active Art Bell fan forum on the internet.   It's heir apparent is BellGab.  It's not about George wanting to silence his critics, nor is it about George wanting anyone's advice about how to improve.  It's about killing Art Bell forums at critical points in Art's career.   I'm confident that MV isn't about to let that happen here.

     George returns to the forum when he probably should have been studying his news segment script.  Painful.  I missed most of Lori Toye's  interview, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was riveting.  Tom Grier  on Lyme disease and the ticks that carry it.  George is obsessed with ticks.  After his Night Hawk gig, and before he did coast, he had a show devoted entirely to the subject of ticks.  It was called "Tick Talk."  A former broadcast executive recalls, "We thought he was crazy, you know, wanting to do a show about ticks.  Five nights a week.  Three hours a night.  I mean, I got nothing against ticks, or anything like that.  But he was the Night Hawk, a big shot, and he made it work.  He'd still be doing it today if he didn't get the call from c2c."  Indeed.

I don't want to piss you off. You're engaging me, and we actually had some success talking with George tonight. Success, the guy answered our questions here, as asked, as I thought he would if we approached him under certain auspices. But look at the flow of negativity that happened while we were doing that. Yeah, it's about taking a ride, but don't forget it's entertainment. Look at the posts, people apply a different standard to Art, from a grass is greener perspective, and judge Noory on a different set of rules than they judge Art. Well, come on, that's bullshit. Isn't it?

The bullshit does annoy me too SciFi. I can also see that this thread was originally set up just to slag George off as much as possible by people who really do not like his show. Now George has entered the scene I find it quite entertaining.
I think George is okay. I appreciate him saying he will try and engage with the guests more.

And while I have never wondered why we have ticks or where they come from I have often wondered why we have G.N. and where he came from. Especially when it comes to be handed captain of a motherstrip out of the desert and across the world.  I've also been wondering where a J.C. and an S.F. would come from and why.  Oh sorry J.U.
