Really? How do you know that?

Don't forget that a lot of cars have built in satellite radio

I think my argument is a small percentage of c2c listeners have Sirius radio.

I agree.   On a strictly anecdotal level, I have polled all my old friends who were 90's C2C AB fans. All of them had no clue AB was coming back. They  said they would be tuning in...until I said it was on Sirius.

*sigh*

Well did you hear? Art is coming back next month.

Wait! WTF! Art Bell quit Coast to Coast?! ???

Quote from: SaucyRossy on August 16, 2013, 10:59:48 PM
do a google or twitter search.

Look at all the c2c fan pages etc after it was announced they wouldn't be on SiriusXm any more. Take that sampling and it gives you a good idea of just how many people have it just for coast.
I think that is just arts die hard rabid fan base.

Haha, yes!  I've been getting ready by listening to hours of Art shows almost every day.  Today I listened to Fr. Malachi's first show in 1996.  All five hours of it, and it was bliss.

I have to admit George is quite the character study.  A stunning combination of quirks and oddities.  If he was just the normal run-of-the-mill person that's lousy at their job, we would have all moved on long ago.  How did he get this job.  How does he keep it.  How can he be so bad at it after 10 years.  How can he be so self-unaware.  Does he know.  Does he care.

He's such a terrible host.  No concept of how to conduct an interview.  Yet there he is and there he remains.

To me, George coming here is a chance to study and even interact with the man himself.  What luck.  I can hardly believe our good fortune.  It doesn't matter what his motive is or what he says, it's that he is here being George.  How about that avatar tonight - the guy with the hairy back being hugged.  OMG.  Or referring to us as 'suckers' - then having to explain it.

He's not going to destroy the thread.  No one is suddenly co-opted.  'No one' being something more than a statistically insignificant handful.

I'm going to enjoy George's posts while he's here, be amused, and maybe even get a few questions I've had answered.

George ask Whitley what he thinks of the show Falling Skies.

Excellent Post PB. I tend to agree. Although mostly a fan of social decorum, I do find noory's visits to be (if possible) more vapid than his show.

Tonight's show isn't awful. Strieber is carrying the load. Even keeping dave in line.
Haha maybe dave should let Whitley co host every show to keep him line.

Think abou it

Dave: was it a portal
Whitley: we talked about this, stop asking that.

Dave: was it angels
Whitley: we are talking about men in black not angels.

I saw that.  I interpreted it as Dave feeling like he was coming here wearing a hair shirt.  He really sees himself as a victim of the "suckers" misguided loyalty to Art.

SnapT

George, ask Whitley what he thought of the Syfy Channel mini-series TAKEN.

Doesn't it bother anyone that we spend more time thinking about noory's visits here than he does regarding his show?

Do you know the date of that?  I'd love to hear it again, but can only access shows by date, not by title.

Well you gotta stick to the script that's Premrat approved.
Don't wanna get your tit in a wringer over unapproved communications, that wouldn't be good for the bottom line.

Agree - and we're learning a lot more about him than he is about us.

SnapT

George, ask Whitley what Christopher Walken was like when he met him on the set of the movie COMMUNION.  Did Walken try to study Whitley, do an impression of him?  Or was he just doing his own thing?  I don't think this has ever been explored on the show.

I admit, there are several things about Dave's visits here that bother me more than that.  I hope that doesn't make me a bad person.

It bothers me that every innocent gesture is turned into a psychological study.

edit:  I didn't mean what you just said.

No it doesn't LoneVoice....can you imagine the person who had to inform George how Goatsy is close to Goatse and what it is. SO AWKWARD.

He said some one informed him.

"So uhhh George, you know, we wanted to tell you about this thing on the internet...it's called Goatse. No, no its not the cat Goatsy, its G-O-A-T-S-E. And it's uhmm well it's sick, it's a sick puppy George"
