George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No
Let me see if I've got all this straight:

Jesus was a Free Mason carpenter who nailed himself up on a cross so that he could get his eyeball over a pyramid on the one-dollar bill.

Is that right?  It's got to be.  I listened carefully for two solid hours.

My favorite part of Frank Lisciandro's ridiculous interview was when Jorch asked him a surprisingly good question about how The Doors became successful, and if they were heavily promoted by someone with power and influence in the music industry.  He replied that he went overseas for a year just as the band was getting started, and when he he returned they were the hottest band in the country, but he has no idea how it happened.  You'd think if he was such a good friend of Morrison's he would have thought to have asked him about how they achieved their amazing success in such a short time.  He sounded like he isn't even the least bit curious about it even now.  His whole interview sounded like it was mostly just conjecture and personal opinion that can't be verified from someone who's trying to convince people that he and Morrison were close personal friends when it was actually just a casual acquaintanceship.  What a maroon.

Why do you think Ian Punnet left the show?  I don't think it was because of graduate school in Arizona or his ears rang too much.

Can one really peddle the image of a respected theologian on a show that stoked conspiracy theories from callers about the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre?  Nutcases were routinely calling in to claim the federal government staged the entire crime scene, and this feeble-minded Noory character -- a Navy vet, no less -- kissed their crazy asses.  John B. Wells was even worse about the killings while he tried to make a name for himself as the lead sled dog among the Alex Jones clones.  He can even sound like a speaking dog, come to think of it.  He should be the canine voice of Dinovite or any cartoon-animated large dog.  "I ate Dinovite.  Now my ears don't stink."

Anyway, I wrote Ian Punnett an email and asked him the question in the above paragraph.  I copied it to Noory and Wells, and never received an answer from any of them, and it wasn't long before Punnett announced he was leaving the show.  Now I know I couldn't have been the only listener to bring up the issue -- and Punnett is a fairly moral, intelligent person in his own right.  He also had to wonder, though, if it made good book publishing sense to continue to have the "Coast-to-Coast AM" crazy albatross tied around his neck -- emphasis on the "Good Book."
I fully agree; IP's grad school excuse was for public consumption.  The last couple years that he was the saturday night C2C guy, it was fairly clear that no longer a happy association.

Ian Punnet didn't go to grad school to earn a PhD JUST to get out of hosting C2C shows.  But the direction C2C is headed probably made the decision to leave a LOT easier.

Noory speak~"How much did we know about the attack prior to the attack?"

A Human~"How much did we know about the attack prior to it?"

And tonight he couldn't even pronounce "sailor"
He even garbled "Pearl Harbor," the very subject of the main show, at one point and had a confused, mushmouthed "thanks" for those who were involved there. :o On the good side we got to know "how is it you do what you do?" from guests.

" how is it that you suck the way you suck, ex sailor ? "

Singing in the background ala James Bond.

" Nobody sucks it better, better than all the rest.
Nobody sucks quite the way you do, Georgie, you're the best.
I wasn't listening but somehow you found me, I tried to kill my radio ... "

Isn't it sad -- I mean, "funny" -- when it's a near-cause for celebration if George asks a "surprisingly good question?"

It's as if your dog with the horribly stinking ears suddenly turned down the volume on the radio and asked you for some Dinovite.

Or if a small child built a neutron bomb at home.

Or if one of your houseplants sang a song.

Well, I just turned on the station about an hour ago
Took a look around, see how much Jorch blows
Saw the place Where Noory always bungles shows
L.A. Studio, L.A. Studio

Mister Moron risin.'
Mister Moron risin.'
Brain's a raisin.
Brain's a raisin.
Blank-faced gazin.'
Blank-faced gazin.'

Whoa!  Yeaaaaah.
Whoa, raisin, come own.

I just read that thousands of playpens have been recalled due to a strangulation hazard.  Want to guess what George will mention in the news segment tonight?

Oooooh . . . Christmas came early for the sick bastard this year.

The Marquis de Santa.

George could never understand why Scrooge didn't just roast Tiny Tim over an open fire.

"Un-bull-lee-bubble."

Wow.  I recently downloaded some C2C podcasts (Knapp, Noory, and others).  The podcasts are all around 38 minutes for each "hour" of the show.  Granted they are minus bumper music and commercials, but 38 minutes! Essentially, with guests involved, Noory is talking for only a few minutes per hour!  Maybe that's a good thing... :-\

;D   ;D

That has the potential for all kinds of fun! A brief check of the interwebs turned up nothing related, so it looks like there's lots of new, fertile ground.  Maybe the BellGabbers with graphics skills have some ideas.   ;)

Compare and contrast Schrader's Darkness Radio podcasts. They run about 45 mins. Oh, and they're free. You don't have to join some dumbass 'fun little club' to get them.

We've had an investment banker on as an astrophysics guest.  Today's guest credited as an investment banker will probably turn out to be a cake decorator.

QuoteFirst Half: Investment banker and risk manager James Rickards will discuss why he believes the coming collapse of the dollar along with the international monetary system is entirely foreseeable, and what the average person can do to protect ourselves.

pssttt...I bet the advice is buy gold and silver.

Store some food,
Survivor dude

Sell it high on the other side
Sell it high on the other side, yeh.

George is eliminating the 30 day wait period for callers because the show is getting too big.  That takes 'spin' to a whole new level.

NoMoreNoory

Holy Christ! 'Effective immediate', announces Walter Cronkite, the 30-day rule is lifted!!! The Idiot describes it as a 'very old, very antiquated rule'. He claims it's it's because sooooo many people are trying to call the show. Some people have been trying to get through for two years. Tell that to Bateman, you lying fuck!

Georgie thinks saying "bricks and mortar store" makes him sound moar smartur

NoMoreNoory

He's trying to tell Katherine Austin Fitts that she's unique. Aside from this being a pointless statement, in Mushmouth, 'You're unique' came out - three times! - as 'You're your neek'.

George thinks its "Bricks and Mordor Store" because Best Buy sells Lord of the Rings

She was like "Huh what you call me?"

So there is 100 tons of Khadaffi gold buried out in the Libyan desert? Now that is interesting. I would listen to a show on that.

I'm sure he wasn't. The only solution is to be like Steve Quayle and just continue rambling on after a GN question.

"Wow!"  George says in amazement after hearing there are only 135 000 tonnes of gold in the world*.   George has always been such a master of understanding large numbers.

*I thought the guest said 35 000 tonnes but 135 000 is closer to the figures I find online.
