Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

Moontard  alert!    Oh boy Omphen Lines has some winners tonight.   ;:)

Noory: "It would be terrible if the old hag entities were real, and they terrorized the kids." (paraphrased)

It also would be bad if half of the callers were crazy people obsessed with the devil. I guess that it could be worse. We could hear minutes-long calls concerning various illnesses and injuries.

We do hear minutes- long calls from people with  mental illnesses if that's any consolation.

You could post that each week. When has it *not* been true? ;-)

I sometimes forget how bad  Omphen Drivel actually is...the very rare times that I do tune in on a Friday night I  think "surely the IQ points couldn't get any lower"
I'm proven wrong every time however.

I spoke too soon. The call from the sickly woman confirmed our belief that Noory reads this forum.

The calls tend to be much better when other people host the show. In *this* case, it's really not a coincidence.

Why is this caller talking about dead young people buried close to his cemetery plot? He referred to the corpses as his future neighbors. Priests should tell sinners to listen to omphen lines as penance.

Priest Voice: "Say fifty "Hail Marys" and listen to Coast 2 Coast on Friday night between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM EST."

It still surprises me how many callers first admit then deny having a mental disorder before telling some story they admit sounds crazy.

Buh-bye, Max...

Don't let the toilet seat hit you on the head, Max, unless you like that sort of thing.

Wow! That was a classic - lots of hard work there with the quotes - I awoke shortly ago, read the latest posts, nature called and returned a few minutes later, only to find it removed when I tried to reply... but was still in my cache, so made a PDF of the page for posterity. Just admiring your hard work...

And though you may not have had a chance to say goodbye at the time, I'm guessing you know how to now... just conjecture mind you.

First Charles last night, and now Max today, starting a shitstorm over at GLP.

Won't be long before they have a show of hands to see which ones ever kissed a Teddy Bear.

The Professor

Noory with a story on a child bitten by rats...I love those human interest stories...

The Professor

Noory talking about the difference between Night Terrors and Nightmares...I think the difference is, Noory's show is a nightmare, and Noory himself if a Night Terror...

George is deviating from his 3x5 cards again....

[Noory] Would Hubble have gotten along with Carl Sagan?

...

[Noory] What kind of tree would Hubble have been?

WoW! Another gripping question by the snoron.  Do you think its odd that carl sagan had brown eyes whilst hubble had blue eyes? I mean, there are no coincidences, right? maybe it has something to do with 2112 and the polar bear shift? Maybe hubble was an angel?  Could carl sagan have been a demon?

The Professor

Hoagland remembering Walter Cronkite...the one personal memory he didn't recall is when Cronkite's family, a few years ago, asked Hoagland to quit using Cronkite's name to bolster his lunatic theories....

Leave it to Noory to bring on a nutjob despised by the Cronkite family, Walter himself, to do the memorial...as usual, Noory succesfully defiles the memory of a great person...

[Noory] Would Hubble have approved of Michael Jackson's plastic surgery?

[Noory] If Hubble played Einstein in horseshoes, who would have won?

[Noory] Did Hubble know Elvis?

I understand this may be old news for you regular listeners, but since I don't listen, it was news to me just now - I'm quoting from the guests website:

Mega Management, LLC, Atlanta, is pleased to announce that their client, author Rosemary Ellen Guiley, and George Noory, host of Coast to Coast AM, have signed a contract with Tor Books to co-author a book about spirit communication, Talking to the Dead.

Atlanta, Georgia – George Noory, host of the popular night-time radio talk show Coast to Coast AM, and paranormal expert Rosemary Ellen Guiley will co-author a book on spirit communication, Talking to the Dead. The book is scheduled to be published by Tor Books in hardcover in the fall of 2010.

"Talking to the Dead will be the first major book to thoroughly examine the
developing technology of spirit communication," said Guiley. "How close are
we to a breakthrough of having devices that will enable real-time, two-way,
provable contact, and what are the ramifications of that for society? Spirit
communication is the cutting edge of our exploration into the afterlife and
realities in other dimensions.

"George and I have worked together many times on radio over the past
decade, and we share a strong mutual interest in spirit communication,"
Guiley said. "Talking to the Dead is the perfect collaboration to take to the
printed page. I'm excited to co-author this with George."

"I first had Rosemary on the show in 1997 and she has lit up the phone lines
from listeners ever since, I am sure we will do the same with this book," said
Noory.

Talking to the Dead will be edited by Bob Gleason, executive editor of Tor. The deal
was handled by literary agent Steve Troha of Vigliano Associates, New York City.

Gosh, when is Snoory gonna find the time to co-author this book, since he does so much show-prep. He's an amazing man.

Thanks V, I had heard that Guiley and Noory were doing a book together based on George's interviews with her, but I thought it was going to be called Talking to the Brain-Dead...

I'm asking 'cause I really want to know - did he REALLY read a story about that tonight? A few days ago, I started my little project to pick shows at random, and see how many dead/mamed children stories I could find within a limited number of shows... but got side-tracked when the first show I chose at random had the "texing" audio... but if he said that tonight, I'll use it in my final audio compendium.

That almost makes me wish I never learned to read...

But I think they got the part about the books being 'lit up' right...

I wouldn't have been "quite sure what to say about that" either!

But yes, Knapp is a class act.

My dad had Walter Cronkite.  I've got George Noory.  Shoot me.
NASA released some pictures of the moon landing sites  and I can't see anything on them, but Ill bet Richard C. has already spotted Robbie the Robot and the Batmobile.  Last nights show was so dull even George decided to skip the last half hour and replay and old interview with some Bermuda Triangle yokel.
He did. however, follow up on the Blind Guy.  Looks like he'll be helping him out.
     Cool.

~Back from spelunking the Abyss.~
(unlucky you)

I was appalled at the giddy inf(l)ection present in Noory's eulogy.

I was highly offended when Noory said "Con-Krite."

Noory name dropping and bragging about meeting & speaking to Cronkite for "ten seconds" was especially painful.  A bit surprised he didn't mention Billy Gibbons of ZZ TOP at this point. . .

If Noory possessed sense the size of a single skateboard ball bearing, he would have said ~nothing,~ and played some famous Cronkite sound bytes then gone to commercial.  I mean it, he should have said NOTHING.

What class that would have been!  Sound bytes.  Silence. Commercial.  Then sprinkle Cronkite sound bytes the rest of the night, before commercials... but never ANNOUNCE or MENTION them.

~But that would have been too much to ask of our majestic fly boy.~  It would have made far too much SENSE and been far too .... reverential.

Noory had to showboat...

"As I'm sure all of you've heard..."

(giddy giddy giddy)

blah blah blah dee smacking blah dee dah!

Like a loaded terrorist dreading a stroll through airport metal detectors, I understandably began to tense up... because I knew it was inevitable... and here it came... as surely as a dung beetle is drawn toward...

Richard Hoagland!

(clap clap clap)

Hoagland's somber tone was as calculated as an Oral B toothbrush commercial.

After a few sentences from the "Mars Faced Moonchild," I began to cut on my arm with the edge of a single 1973 TV MAGIC CARD.  Blood would appear, if not Marshall Brodini, ... eventually.

In spades... (har har har)

(I amuse myself here.  Ignore the discontinuity.)

While I was contemplating who would now serve as The next great Voice of Bohemian Grove?, this Heckle & Jeckle duo could not wait to FEED UPON THE CORPSE!

~I dare say there will be a Gurdjieffian "wake" at my "pad" when this Noory "croaks."~

(8 Tracks wing out next week, after testing, MV.  A thousand pardons.  If address has NOT "Remained The Same," please advise. )

As scummy as that all was, had it been a Saturday,  we could very well have been treated to Ian and another 'channeling'.

Ian doesn't need a piker like Richard C - he goes for the lowest hanging fruit.

And they call us the 'low lifes'.

Holy shit, it's Cam. Wb dude. I thought you got taken away by the mole people for awhile there.

It still surprises me how many callers first admit then deny having a mental disorder before telling some story they admit sounds crazy.

You could develop a psychological disorder just by listening to some of the calls. I sometimes think (hope, really) that the calls are pranks.
