I'm sure if our own conversations were recorded going back to the early 90's we'd have a few things we wouldn't like out there in internets land.

oh HELL yeah.  speaking for myself, you wouldn't need to go back to the 90s.

To a degree the Art shows from post 9/11 were still great. He summed of the feeling of the time. We know now how awry that feeling went with the benefit of hindsight

Very nice, thank you so much for this.  I miss hearing Arts voice and now I can hear him again, brings back a lot of memory's.

Then give good money.

Well said. I hate it when people complain about things they receive for free. Keep up the good work Linden.

after almost 6 years of  ^^^that^^^  while running the old coastgab stream, it wore me down and eroded the fun of streaming art bell.  i do NOT envy linden2k.  the final straw was the heap of complains i'd receive when i dropped in for just a couple hours once or twice a month to do my podcast.  fucking animals.  that's what killed it.  however, for the good people who were understanding and appreciative, i'm glad linden stepped in and started handling it.

Hi Everybody, Just Joined.  Sent MV a Message about me but you can learn a little at my Blog  http://billinmissouri.blogspot.com  Been listing to Art from the Beginning many years ago.. Thanks Bill

Gads... there is a George Noory show on the Art Bell stream right now.  Has there been pole shift or something?  I even had the volume up loud before it started streaming.  I hope the neighbors are ok... that's like getting hit with a sonic weapon.

OMG he's right!!! what is this?? There's a stinking Noory in my Art Bell soup?? Waiter!!! WAITER!!!!!

same thing used to happen to me from time to time when i was streaming.  it was so embarrassing when it did.

jazmunda

I have an ipod in my car that plays my Art playlist and every now and again I discover that one of the Art shows that I have acquired over the years is actually a Noory show. It takes a lot of self control for me not to drive straight into a tree or off a bridge to make it stop.

Yeah it's like a loud fart in church.

Heh. Which I literally did. I was 12, with my family, and moved wrong even though I was trying to be oh-so-careful to avoid jostling what felt like the contents of an industrial-sized heavy-duty compressed-gas canister someone had discharged in my distended bowel. I was in misery for some 15 minutes as the boiling miasma in my gut built up to what felt like 6 atmospheres, capable of an eruption of Vesuvian proportions.

But then the slightest unintentional lift of one cheek, and my tortured innards could hold no longer. It burst forth with an extended BRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAP which I was powerless to stop; an elephant trumpet mixed with a lion roar and a howler monkey screech, combined with a basso profundo recoil/reverberation effect of the flatulent bouncing off the hard, bare wooden pew, most reminiscent of a 15-round burst from the .50 caliber Browning M2 machine gun. I was humiliated, although my gut, while still under intense pressure from the sizable remnant of evil which remained to torture me, was somewhat relieved. And I about lost a chunk out of my arm at the spot my mother tried to twist it from me with her bare fingers. But the horse was out of the barn, so to speak, and to my mortification the six pews in front and behind of us broke out in laughter.

My 12-year-old face turned scarlet with the unwelcome but unconquerable thought of how many howls of helpless laughter there would be at a score or more of family dining room tables later that day, There were even families with girls I went to school with who were in the kill zone that day, and of course the tale was through all three sections of the 6th Grade before the first bell rang on Monday. We eventually left that church for another, and I was forever grateful. School, however, was sheer hell, and I was such a leper (at least to my sensitive pubertic mind) at the remaining boy-girl parties we had just started to have that I feigned illness for the last two that year. But it was off to another school the next year and a clean slate.

So that's my fart in church story. Well, *ahem* what's in the new Art stream?

Most people are pretty awesome about the stream. It is funny when you get PMs like "you know what you should do? Make five streams. One with each (insert bullshit here) type of shows playing."

Sardondi

I feel particularly ashamed of my wanton and reckless off-topic posting, since it was potentially a threadjacker, and since there was a substantive discussion going on already. So let me reiterate that I appreciate the site as a whole - it's a new home for me. And the Art streams are a little slice of heaven. Many times I've been doing my rounds through the interwebz and plugged into that mellifluous bass, and it's wonderful Thanks Michael and linden.

Genius! You can change the name to "Five Art" Stream! One channel would be ALL RODS, ALL THE TIME. ESCAMILLA 4 LIFE, SON!

I really liked the fart story even though it was off topic.  I like the stream as is... a "next up" display is all that I would like to see... that way if some idiot is on like Hoaxboy or Ed Dames I can at least see if something cool will be on after.  I haven't bothered to pm linden though as he's obviously getting enough crap all ready.

i would begin oiling my glock if i received such a missive.

Five streams might be interesting to gather statistics on users actually.

Or we could divide current statistics by 5.

If our local dairy were giving away free pistachio ice cream 24/7, I might politely ask if chocolate were available.  But I'd never have the audacity to say, "Hey, guys, you know what you ought to do?  Give away a different flavor for each day of the week!  One for each top vote getter on a survey in the local paper!"

Sheesh.  Some people think they're owed free stuff that other people have worked for.

Oh wait.  That's veering off into another topic entirely.  Back on topic, thanks, Linden, for all you give out of the goodness of your heart.  Much appreciated by I'm sure the silent majority of us.

Yeah, but where Sardoni's is concerned . . .

I spent decades pushing students to go beyond the general; provide specific, sensory detail; blah blah blah . . .

Sardoni coulda stopped with Heh. Which I literally did and I'd have been okay with it.

But that's just me.  I'm having coffee and a blueberry muffin.  Doesn't go well with fart stories.

and by the way... everyone should consider donating to linden to support his efforts.  it is time consuming to do what he's doing.  he's got a paypal link on the stream site

All JC Aperances on now!

Thanks for the heads up, jazmunda.

I've made one donation so far, though it was admittedly a paltry sum.
