The funny thing is, despite all the predictions for cases to explode with states reopening, you don't hear the plague prophets demanding ventilators and bed space in anticipation.  It's like they abandoned us to our fate once it became clear that batteries of tests and armies of contract tracers with extrajudicial powers to lock people up didn't just appear when they waved their arms.

Maybe I'm the only one who sees that as good? Look, the curve is "flattened." The idea from the start was to stop a massive spike, but that everybody would eventually get it. (Narrative since changed to "one death is on death too many.")

It looks like the controlled infection that will be necessary if people EVER want to resume life and end their lock-down. If nobody has caught it, then when one case eventually surfaces in society it is going to time to lock us down. Again, and again, and again. (See news article from Korea on this page...)

Chinese Government For What They Are

Well, that is shocking. 2/3 of Americans held a negative view of China... Do the remaining 1/3 with a favourable view of China somehow manage to function day to day with their heads lodged firmly in their rectums?

That is a question I shouldn't have to answer because it is one you should not be asking.   You know the answer already as does the rest of the thread.  However, for completeness sake I'll go through the exercise.

We all have our parts to play on the board. That would work out to around a 1/3 reduction in a large chunk of my Texas wilderness area by Summer, just based on the lovely, roasting heat, alone, at it's finest during the day.  Throw in the oppressive humidity and blinding UV and Corona Chan should be begging for mercy.

I found it humorous that Ford volunteered to build them but it took GM some prodding with the DPA. And then GM delivered their first unit the day before the contract was signed with Ford to produce theirs.

What else would you expect? He is a "one man" operation. The idea is not to give a small company money and guaranteed profit. It is to give millions to 3M, Honeywell and the other big manufacturers.
