The US flag is one I, and my friend tim made in the 90’s. One of 500, each with a unique numbered label, made out of 100% hemp which back in the day you had to import by ship from China. We made them by hand from seamstresses we paid, even the stars are hemp. It was not easy, probably cost a few hundred dollars each to make but one flew over the AZ state capital and many were given away to celebs and victims of outrageous drug war  Believe me, it was war. Someday maybe I’ll feel like talking about it. They jailed us and took kids and money away for a Fucking plant. All the “normal” people thought we were at peace. Imagine how pissed I am. Now weed dispensaries are “essential” businesses. And I’m supposed to believe my govmt about anything? The only thing they ever did well was silence the Kennedy’s and nearly extinct the buffalo.

I can echo your sentiments on the government not doing things well.  I wish there were more angst against the governmental institutions themselves.  It's one thing to rail against Trump or your main man Newsom for this or that.  Looking at it from another angle, we've got what?  The Department of Health and Human Services,  the U.S. Public Health Service, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the National Center for Preparedness, Detection, and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, the Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee, the National Institute of Health, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Lord knows what else at the Federal level.   Then a subset of that at the State level with a subset at the county level.  All of that and this is the best we can do?   I'm sure there are just battalions of dudes buried in all those agencies who have spent their entire professional life planning for a  Pandemic.  The big moment arrives and it's like a monkey trying to fuck a mini-American football.  This is the best we can do?  Really?   I guess they had been too busy playing computer solitaire..............
