Just to give you an update. I talked to Amy and she is fine, just resting. Probably no show tonight. If there is I and I'm sure Amy will let you know. Most likely not though. Thanks for caring everyone and supporting her.

One effective trick I do is use multiple fans to direct the cold air from the window AC in the BR, down the hall to the den/studio. Works well and a side benefit is you don't have to listen to the AC unit right next to your ear. You can even go around corners and it still works.

I'm not sure if this DIY AC would be better than the swamp cooler. Probably not, but I say get a window unit ASAP - nothing will be better than that.

Swamp coolers may be effective, but they are ineffective in places in which humidity is normal or high.  Some of the ads don't tell you that.

Chaga apparently does have some very beneficial properties ( i looked it up ) used widely in europe / asia / russia.

Not to mention it is worth quite a bit if you are willing to trek through the woods to pick and sell it.

It grows on Birch trees. I have quite a bit of it in my Backyard where the mountains meet the ocean.

( I have yet to pick any myself and make tea... But i have thought about selling it.. allot of companies are looking for Chaga sources and they offer a pretty penny. )

Or, to get around the cost of licensing of a consumable product, plus packaging, you might let folks, by appointment, come on your property and collect their own, then pay on the way out.  I am aware of the drawbacks here as well, but thought I'd run it up the flag pole to see what you think.
