Like most things it is a matter of cost-benefit analysis and risk-assessment. For example, even in these days of "refugees" and open-border policies we no longer (in the US, UK, and most European countries) give as a matter of the usual schedule TB vaccinations? Why? Likewise most people, unless you are traveling to certain countries, don't get the Yellow Fever vaccine.

I caught and released the hawk first. It was actually quick and easy and it didn't resist too much. I put a cookie sheet between itself and me and grabbed it the first time. Luckily neither one was hurt.
