I wrote my first hack for the 6000 and a similar one for the 360. I punched up a routine on cards I could stick into other people's decks that would loop 1000 times printing underscores on the line printer. It would cut the paper in half.

I was not an operator's best friend.

One of my favorite things about Windows10, is that you can download the creation media (Media Creation Tool), from another computer onto a USB drive, and reinstall windows from that.

I keep all my drivers and programs on a usb also, so I can easily and quickly reinstall them after I reinstall Windows10.

My cards are now chipped but not a lot of readers and the ones we have are soooo slooow. And am referring to U.S. not Mexico. Only place I use it in Mexico is ATMs

Looking at the landing page for BellGab it is obvious that this is the place to be.  Funny to think that the news reader from MITD would end up capturing the imaginations of listeners.  (Especially when so many were even questioning if she was text to voice back then.)

I generally try not to comment on MITD on this thread- but I think this kind of blows the "people will not listen to a female host" idea out of the water.

Big time. But it was 'acceptable' because cost get pushed back on consumers and merchants and the costs to the company to implement the better security, get people/merchants to use it and the costs involved with people to sort it out, teach people, etc, the equipment/standard, plus the difference between a 'push' or 'pull' system, etc. But really they figure "what consumers and our merchant don't know, why bother. We will just charge some extra fees, have lower interest-rates, or just customer service to cover whatever costs and personally indemnify the account holder when fraud happens."
