It was worth it last time.

Well it was just a spark igniting a warehouse of powder. You can't reasonably argue this was a direct cause of WWI. The situation in Europe was generally boiling, the alliances were reversing. The German Empire, Austria-Hungary and Russia were really at each other's throats that much for the first time since the Congress of Vienna. Well, Austria at this point wasn't really making foreign politics independent from Germany. The Germans had serious colonial ambitions. However, the Balkans were indeed the boiling pit. There were still so many dice rolling after the Ottomans were kicked out of there in the late 19th century. Also Italy was growing in strength after the unification and showing interest in the region. So many changes, so much tension, so many colliding interests...

Just listened to Dave's show and I have to say that I really think that Heather did Keith a big favor. May have all been a bit dramatic but clearly MITD is now in a MUCH better place. I am glad to have renewed my subscription to MITD after dropping when Art retired for the final time. Art would be happy with what is going on.

It'll be interesting to see how long Heater can sustain the trainwreck.  Just how many paying cult followers does she have and what, if anything, did Art leave for her, besides the cuckshed.  Jorch is fortunate to have PremRat corporate creatures footing his incompetency.  Heater is now all on her own.
