Michael Jackson outbid Paul on Beatles publishing rights.  That ended their friendship.  Michael let Beatles songs go into commercials.  This angered the Paul.  Michael's ownership of the Beatle's publishing rights was a large part of his fortune.  Michael was also trying to completely remove himself legally from Sony and owned half their stocks or maybe 51% when he "died" and then Sony
got all Michael's past and future releases as well as the Beatle's publishing rights.

The main issue is that BG is an open forum...therefore, you might get an extreme or insulting comment that your critics or enemies want to label you with...

That's why I was a little peeved with Art singling out BG...why didn't he single out FB or Twitter?

And to think the entire Internet used to be a wild frontier of free speech.  It also used to take a certain level of technical proficiency to even access the internet so the average IQ online was much
higher.

If I recall correctly it had to do with the publishing rights expiring and being up for bid somehow and Michael being in a financially superior position over Paul which allowed him to be outbid.  This was in the mid-80's at the height of Jackson's mega-fame.  I'm not sure why Paul wouldn't have been able to afford it but that was allegedly the case, and since they were buddies at the time Paul was quite upset that Michael would do that "to him" when he knew that Paul was going for it.
