THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!   8)  I'm always glad to encounter people who remember this show.  I've personally encountered (maybe) a dozen who do.

Wasn't this on after the Muppet Show back in the 70's?
It was. Corny but loved the first season. Second season was . . . . Meh . . . .

I remember that show....the costumes were so bad! Kind of a 70s version of Logan's Run costumes...if I remember correctly.

Most of us have seen this little gem.

A Time-Lapse Map of Every Nuclear Explosion Since 1945 - by Isao Hashimoto

That was amazing. I think I've seen it before but I watched the whole thing. Really enlightens you on American thinking.

Wasn't there also a Logan's Run show on Saturdays around the same time frame?

Yep.  This has been pretty boring.  Who would have thought nuclear war would be boring? :P
This statement has to be the definition of irony  ::)

Noorynoid

Preemptive first strike using a EMP device makes perfect sense. Who's got the launch codes? Let's do this kids.

Can you imagine George Noory, the guy who accidentally shaved half his mustache off carrying around the nuclear football?

Logan's Run was a sci fi movie. Very trippy.

There was. I have it on DVD. And the original movie. Yes. I openly admit to it . . . .

Anyone ever watch the movie "Fail Safe"?

I guess it would be more of a live teleplay.  That was harrowing.  When the nukes went off and the phone lines melted.  That sound will never leave my head.

I saw it when it was first released, and whoa -- life altering.  I don't think we (happy, perfect, America) ever considered that could happen.  It sure stuck with me.
