good morning guys.  Serenity and WR250 those two songs make quite the intriguing juxtaposition for this early in the morning.  I hope that a 30 cupper has something to do with coffee and isn't more of that techy talk.

As of December 09 2015:
According to Near-Earth asteroid monitoring groups there were 1638 KNOWN Potentially Hazardous Asteroids in Earth-crossing orbits.


Phase of the Moon:   December 9, 2015;  Waning crescent;  1% illuminated;  396,579 km from Earth;  28 days old


The folowing images are Comet Catalina.

Images shot 12-7-2015 @ 05:44 EST, The telescope was pointed East.
Unedited image is a 20 second exposure at ISO 1600. Image location: Tampa, Florida.
Yes, this is a green comet at magnitude 5.2 and the bright star to the upper right is Tycho 5562 839 at magnitude 6.47 (naked eye visible.)

And this little gem is hidden deep inside The Orion Nebula. One of my grand daughters is named Lyra. I took a picture of the Ring Nebula in the Constellation of Lyra, had it framed and it has been hanging over her bed since she was a week old . One of my better deeds.
