Jealous. Still wearing shorts down here. Hope it gets a bit colder for Christmas. But my Christmas Cactus is blooming- right on time! (How does it know to bloom even if it isn't cold out? Same with the trees, what deciduous ones we have, know to change color and drop?) Mystery to me. Though I guess when they feel 50's or even 70's instead of 100's?

At least its blooming. Mine is too. They keep showing a cold front and rain but its still 76 here.

Wow Albrecht that is beautiful.  Mine only has two little blooms on it.  I don't know how they know to bloom.  Perhaps it is independent of temperature?

If enough snow stays on the ground, I will post a pic or two.  I can't wait to hit the trails!

The species originally is from Brazil I see (the interwebs used) so I guess it is related to the date- not temp changes. Since Christmas time on the Brazilian coast is not cold, I think! Hope you get a white Christmas there.

Tonight, Laetitia lies about 0.5° due east of this star. (An 11th-magnitude spiral galaxy, NGC 1055, appears an equal distance east of the asteroid.) This region currently climbs highest in the south around 9 p.m. local time.
