Oh I agree, Burke was his usual self. For being nearly 80, he's still every bit the great communicator and intellect he always was. It's just that, as usual, Hoagie is his own worst enemy when it comes to interviewing.

Could have been epic if Hoagie'd just mined Burke's knowledge of the history of science/culture/economics/religion/education instead of taking a half hour to explain the latest findings about a star hundreds of light years away.

Your bold interpretation flies in the face of conventional wisdom, sir.

He sleeps, but is to gently awaken the many mynds to madness, as evidenced by the purple tentacular eaters of uselessness prophesiesed (sp) by the lenticular seer Rikard Dekkar.

Magnetic poetry.  Or word salad.  You could do it just as well as she.

Thanks, but the important question is what does it all mean?  Besides making Astroguy cry.

Doesn't make me cry, just shake my head, slowly, with a bit of eyeroll in there.

I find it's good to keep eye drops handy for any involuntary eyerolling.

The fact that this isn't Hoagie's "Open Hailing Frequencies" picture is an outrage

Interesting guest set for tonight.  Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it for another.  I'll be listening in bed.

Have a satisfying evening, everyone, and enjoy the show. ;D
