Where is the interest? I haven't been interested and falling asleep

That's on you. Turn the show off if you don't like it. I stopped listening to Noory and Girl Noory a while ago.

"Tell me where the improvement was"
I never said that Miss M was an improvement over Ross. I said the show is the same. If you never knew their names and the producer was completely anonymous you never would have known the difference between the two.

thats where i think thats on you..you are letting some silly unjustified hatred cloud the fact the shows are no where close..to being the same under the different producers

you've been bitching and not around every night either

I bitched because Richard doesn't host sometimes. Next you'll tell me that Ross would have forced Richard to show up and host.

Just because I'm not posting on bellgab doesn't mean I'm not listening to the show.

I want to know what makes this the 'enhanced' version.

The price, probably.  Seems to be working.

Dude your pics are making this show.  This stuff looks like novelty items at a Trekkie convention.

Hatred on who? Ross? I don't hate Ross.  I don't care if he's the producer or not. I wouldn't care if he still was the producer. You are letting your e-friendship cloud your judgement.

I listened to the replay of a podcast RCH did with Bateman. I wish RCH would go back and listen to it. He laid out what the show was going to be like and I dont think any of this stuff is what he had in mind.

I refused to kiss Ross' ass and a few bellgabbers took umbrage and I refused to back down. That's all. Most of those shows under Ross were just them looking at pictures of rocks on Mars and Pluto. Ross had Keith Laney on SIX TIMES! With a few has been actors that most people have never heard of thrown in. You simply can't keep talking about rocks on other planets. If Ross was still producer they wouldn't be doing shows like they were in the beginning.

While miss m isn't pulling ross style guests shes doing a way better job than dumbass scotty McKay, we also got to take into consideration that Hoagland did get very lazy under scotty.

Hoagland's been talking about rocks on other planets for 40 years straight. And he does have a readership and following. I think Hoagland thought at the beginning that he needed to cater to his base with the Mars and Pluto shows. He did that well before Ross, his first show being a Pluto special. I think he realizes now that his base wasn't really there very strongly and he was simply getting Art's spillover listeners and he's curtailed beating his arcology dead horse so much to cater to that audience.

Let's do a month comparison of guests. In September, under Ross, the following guests interested me: Dr. Geraint Lewis, Fr. George Coyne, the Marvel psychology round table, Tim Underwood, Dave Distler, Tim Wallace-Murphy, Daniel Harms and Tim Russ. That's just one month. In the four+ months that followed, I was interested in three guests; Andrew Seimion, James Burke and John McAfee (which Hoagland didn't bother interviewing). I don't care about the new age Noory stuff of late, you may, and that's fair, but as far as non-woo subjects this show used to be so much better as far as guest quality and variety of topics. That said, the show is definitely better now than under mmmKay.

Burke was on with Hoagland?  I've completely phased out of not only MITD but OSOM, as well.  How did Hoagie do with Burke, SciFi?  I would have liked to listen to it.  Too bad Art never got to talk with Burke.

Hoagie blew it, he constantly talked over Burke and kept darting off on irrelevant topics. It was very disappointing, as you know I think the world of Burke and would have loved to have heard him with Art.

I realize you asked SciFi, he was here that night too, here's my two cents on it.  The Burke OSoM shoe was pretty good for a Hoaxland shoe as I recall.

Burke apparently has a new book coming out or it is already out, Not Sure (too lazy to Google it).

If Burke is still interested in promoting his book, I would bet that he'd do an interview with Art.  Wouldn't that be a nice "surprise I'm back on the air" MitD show for Art?

There was that to be sure, but this is a common Hoaxland fault.  I kept a handy set of youtube videos cued up and would play them and turn the volume on the live feed down whenever Hoaxland was blathering on, so I really missed out on his "contributions" to the show.  Burke did great under the circumstances, and even threw what I took to be a left-handed insult at Hoaxster, something like "pudding-head" or "pudding brain" as I recall.  All in all for a Hoaxland shoe, it wasn't that awful.  Maybe a -1 on a -10 to 0 scale?  Just my opinion.

Thanks, guys.  I just shake my head in disappointment and somewhat disgust over what both MITD and OSOM have become, after the opening days of excitement, surprise, and promise less than a year ago.

A Burke and Bell show would have to rank up there with as good as it gets.  Too bad it appears it's not to be.  :'(

Oh I agree, Burke was his usual self. For being nearly 80, he's still every bit the great communicator and intellect he always was. It's just that, as usual, Hoagie is his own worst enemy when it comes to interviewing.

It was kind of fun to hear him browbeat the guest last night over the cost of her energy-enhancing equipment, promise to measure the torsion field of his freebie pendant (still in the mail), and talk wistfully about setting up machines around his bed -- probably hoping she'd throw them in, too, in exchange for the endorsement of the Accutron.

Although I wish she'd talked a bit about what was going on in this picture:
