I didn't listen last night but one thing I noticed about RCH is that he's that guy (we all know one) that always cuts you off before you finish a thought. Most of the time they're not really listening just waiting impatiently to talk. He asks questions but doesn't let the guest complete the answer. He did it frequently during the Tim Russ interview. It was annoying.

That being said I think he does a bang up job interviewing people.  He has actual conversations with the guests going deep into the material and letting it happen organically

I agree. I love the show, but that is one area RCH needs to improve upon.

He's also an old fashioned name-dropping braggart.  "Did you ever meet Roddenberry?  Oh, he was an incredible friend."

Anyone who was tempted to believe Morningstar's rubbish about "Big Ben on the Moon" -- please read this:

http://dorkmission.blogspot.com/2015/03/big-ben-wrap-up.html

looks like some sort of fish swimming from out behind a glowing piece of coral??  pass that dolia around... mmmmmm this stuff is gooood!

RCH is a douchebag... he's certified in douchebaggery as well as a number of other things.

Has Hoagland continued to give BRAAPS to Bellgab? That might encourage me to stay up and listen.

A couple days ago he did say he had to ask a particular question or the people at Bellgab would be upset.  Interestingly, I never saw anyone voice any opinion on that particular question.

OK, I'm out. Last night was the last straw. I don't know why RCH  bothers having guests if he's going to be so rude and condescending to them.  Doesn't let them finish their thought much less their sentence. He says he has to stop them so the audience can follow along but it's only a pretense so he can focus an issue on himself, e.g., he used to work there or he knows some people there, etc. and then he scolds them as if they were a  recalcitrant delinquent. Had I been that guy last night (A great guest) I would've just hung up.
He's unabashedly uncontrollably egocentric. And quite brilliant.
Hopefully I will return after I cool off.

Don't feel too bad for Robert Morningstar.  He's no prize himself.  Just look at a few of Expat's blogs.

He does every few shows.  Usually jokingly.  He hit Dean Haglund with it (and I'm paraphrasing) when he was talking about reading new lines at the last minute.  Hoagie then hit him with "What if I said Braaps! what would you do?" then laughed.  He gives us shout outs in the commentary he makes too.

I think it was addressed via email by one of us but not posted here.

Not to mention (though I am) "My dear friend, Arthur C. Clarke."  repeated ad infinitum on Art's old show.  Still...I love the guy.  (PS...I'm new at this chat thread thingy, is it kosher to respond to a comment after it was made some hours earlier?  I don't want to break any unspoken rules or anythig.)

No, you can only reply to a comment from a post immediately before yours.  If someone else gets in there before you, you're out of luck, and you must wait for that person to make the comment again.  >:(

He's right, but also there's a little button you can click on to cause a re-post. It's very hard to find though.

Saucy, please ask Mr. Hoagland not to act like he's all that in front of Mr. Cthulu tonight.
Thank you.

I have absolutely no idea what you're on about. I spent about twenty minutes on page 361 this morning and I am perfectly fine...

I suspect it would be the opposite. By the end of the Mars discussion, Cthulhu would be repeating the words "the hair, the hair" in English over and over while his followers carried him back to R'lyeh. Cthulhu is no match for the Hoagland.

It was a mess yesterday!  After Juan Cena posted some links (no attack towards him) the pages took a long time to load, couldn't reply to posts, etc.  Don't believe me?...read the posts from that page on.  ;) Maybe it's better now. I'm not taking any chances.  ;D

Wait...20 minutes on one page?  ???  You are thorough.  Cheers!  :)
