It was perfect to have a mad-man presenting it that way.

wow. really excellent re-introduction to the show.

The show really looks great with the added budget on sp/fx

So was Cigarette Smoking Man the MIB from the Roswell scenes at the opening of the show?
Great show, and I will be watching tomorrow.

Cool.  6 episodes.  It's not enough.  8)

i still think they need a set of younger agents to take over and let the show continue from there

We might get lucky, Carter and Duchovny have both said that if the miniseries does well in the ratings, then another miniseries seemed likely at some point.

Just as long as a stalker is not involved and the younger agents aren't just selected from the X-Files fan club.

Do it both ways. Do 6 episode miniseries' with the original cast whenever the stars align, and then a full 20 show per season spin-off with a new cast with original character guest spots.

yup..thats my idea..end of the 6 you have the new agents appear to take up the mantle...have mulder and scully do guest appearances

X-Files, Over the Freaking Top! Filled the void since Art left and as exciting as when I heard Art's first interview with Malachi Martin!  A most excellent evening! Now to catch up on Deep Talk and Dark City! And a Good Evening to all you vaguely lovable BellGabbers!

Yes, I like the gradual phase out approach.  I tend to hate change for something really good and gradual is much less traumatic than abrupt.  You understand. ;)

I thought it was quite good and had just the right pace.  Chris Carter really does get it.

That was satisfying.

I guess I picked the wrong night to start smoking.

Go X-Files!

Why are people looking for Mulder and Scully to be replaced? They tried that before and the show was still good, but not nearly AS good. They are not that old. They could do the show for a while if they wanted to. Especially since, based on tonight's episode, nobody seems to have lost their touch. I thought it was excellent, just as in the past.
