I'm hearing this as well...she only gives 10 minute speeches...they are very worried about an hour and a half debate!

Her speech today was incredibly weak and she only did about 20 minutes to 200 people. She's going to have to bail on debates or get eviscerated. Not just health wise do I question if she can stand up to 90 minutes of Trump but she's so out of her depth when it comes to major league public speaking that I think it would be one of the most lopsided events in American political history.

You said it was a key point of her campaign. If it was a key point of her campaign that means she'd say it at one of her stump speeches. She'd have been all over the media driving that message home. But, surprise, she never said such words or campaigned on such nonsense.

A few PUMA types might've said that nonsense but they weren't Hillary Clinton's campaign or associated with it in any way. Especially since Hillary conceded and campaigned with Obama in 2008 and did everything she could to make sure he won the election and they were going on about "Party Unity My Ass".

It started before PUMA was a thing, but it was discussed in the campaign as early as April. No paper trail exists tying Clinton or her campaign to the rumors. This article provides a pretty good description and links it to a Clinton supporter from Texas named Linda Starr, who then connected with Philip J. Berg who filed a lawsuit. The lawsuit was dismissed.

This is the pamphlet that got all of the rumors started. It was printed in 1991 by his publisher and says he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. I wonder if we will ever see his college records to see if he applied as a foreign exchange student. And I still wonder about his SSAN.  But none of that is Hillary's fault.

You're denying that her chief strategist ran with and issued memos declaring that Obama was un-American while this fever was breaking out amongst Hillshills? You're denying this didn't become one of the key issues when Hillary was getting her teeth kicked in the first time around?

It's kind of funny you use such violent language when the primary in 2008 was a lot closer than 2016 but you were one of the ones who kept going on about how the party was so divided this year ;) Agenda much? Hillary actually got more votes than Obama did but Obama outplayed her in the Caucus system and won the south. Bernie won the caucus system and lost the south.

Now Obama is un-American means someone is a birther? I don't remember any memos so I won't comment on that expect to laugh at the connection. And how did key campaign issue become memos by a Chief strategist? Do you even know what a Key Campaign Issue means? I do chuckle at the idea of Bernie Sanders ignoring talking about wall street and instead Jeff Weaver just writing memos about it instead. But that is getting a bit off topic!

Again you make all these claims, but lack any sort of evidence to back it up. I know this is Bellgab, where extraordinary claims require little to no evidence, but I require a little bit more.

But anyways http://www.factcheck.org/2015/07/was-hillary-clinton-the-original-birther/

It took a full week of rest and drugs to prepare for this one!

Or she is playing rope-a-dope. Dr. Feelgood got Kennedy walking around for hours at a time.

He also helped DeMille finish the Ten Commandments after he had a major heart attack.  I do think Hillary has her own Dr. Feelgood but he's behind the curtain and will stay that way for the duration of the campaign.

The PUMA people were the ones I remember going on about that, as they were just desperate to get Hillary the nomination after the fact. It's sort of like Hoagland and his hope that Bernie will still get the nomination and is grasping at any straw.

Personally, I find the whole idea you need to be born in America to be stupid. If you have American parents you're a citizen no matter where you're born. McCain is an American, Cruz is an American and Obama is an American.

Popular vote Obama 17,584,692 Clinton 17,857,501

So "destroyed". Such an odd distorted world you live in. I just find your language interesting and showing your insecurity and immaturity. ;)

Okay lets look at the first link which is an opinion piece. It's by known right wing hack Kelly Riddell which is talking about a memo from 2007. Something that Hillary dismissed and never used. And yet you're claiming became a key campaign issue. And somehow started the whole birther issue. How did someone growing up in Indonesia mean that Obama was born in Kenya and thus ineligible to be President? In fact, that very same article gasp "Mr. Penn never suggested bringing up Mr. Obama’s birth certificate as a strategy to exploit this weakness"

Again you disregard reality and replace it with your own reality to suit whatever narrative you have.

You can apologize to me whenever you're ready. First you misconstrue my comment and then try to make a strawman out of it. Then you can off into regurgitated nonsense. Then you say I'm insecure and immature. Then you deny the evidence that's put before you.

Cherry picking from the article to try to fit your failed point. He's the one who made it a point to attack Obama on being "Un-American" and dog whistling the issue after Hillary supporters created the original birther narrative. Typical leftist to cherry pick one small thing to support your argument when it's a part of a greater sum that destroys your argument.

Just so we're clear, I don't have a problem with you outside of your politics. And politics are a trivial thing anyway. So don't think this is a personal thing or I don't like you. I genuinely don't understand how anyone could support or defend Hillary Clinton as a Presidential possibility after everything. I totally get Trump hate. Confidentially I'm not all that enthusiastic about him either. But I just do not understand Hillshills unless they're braindead and want to be part of the establishment or they personally have something to gain.

Did I hurt your safe space with logic? Feels before reals?

You're the one who said Hillary made it (Birther) a Key Campaign Issue and I called you out for it. You then tried to shift the issue to it becoming Obama was "Un-American" but then I said that isn't about being a birther and you even presented evidence that proved that such a statement wasn't about being a birth, which was what you were trying to say was a Key Campaign Issue. So you proved my point trying to prove me wrong. Which is pretty impressive in terms of failing.

And when did Hillary call Obama un-American? Video evidence of that?

Read the articles, it's not complicated. Hillary supporters came up with the narrative. Campaign Chief instructed Hillary to dog whistle in every speech she made. You think something she was instructed to say every speech wasn't a key point of her campaign? Why is this hard for you?

Is this person trying to troll me by being slow? I can't tell. I know she's read the material I cited but yet she still says these things.

QuoteThe idea of going after Obama’s otherness dates back to the last presidential electionâ€"and to Democrats. … Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist, Mark Penn, recognized this potential vulnerability in Obama and sought to exploit it. … Penn wrote: … “[H]is roots to basic American values and culture are at best limited. I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and his values.”

Penn also suggested how the campaign might take advantage of this. “Every speech should contain the line that you were born in the middle of America to the middle class in the middle of the last century,” he advised Clinton. “And talk about the basic bargain as about [sic] the deeply American values you grew up with, learned as a child, and that drive you today.” He went on: “Let’s explicitly own ‘American’ in our programs, the speeches and the values. He doesn’t … Let’s add flag symbols to the backgrounds [of campaign events].”

Serious post

Here is the problem. I don't have a problem with disagreement but I do have a problem with straight up lies and misinformation. It really bugs me just from an academic standpoint of always having to fact check, cite everything and defend EVERYTHING.  So when I see something wrong, like blantly wrong, I have this instinct to like NO NO NO!  I mean I'd rather just shit post and have fun, so I use to avoid this forum but then I got suckered in. :( I know I disagree with Bellgab on pretty much everything lol  I actually have big issues with Hillary's foreign policy, but am pragmatic with social issues and am more focused on the Supreme Court above all. I vote party before any person. I prefered Bernie but Hillary built a better coalition and politics is all about coalition building so I naturally support her. If that helps explain my mindset on why I support her.

Because even with dog whistles, or whatever, it still isn't about being a birther.

When you address me like this, it's easier for me to consider your opinion and treat you with respect. You're completely entitled to your opinions and if this is how you feel then that's valid.

I don't really have much else to say other than you've admitted the birther hysteria originated from within the Clinton machine, I've provided the evidence of how this was manipulated and used during her campaign in 2008 and it is what it is. You are right about the 2008 primaries being closer than I remember though.

Arguing in the politics section is the same kick as the Falkie saga was. You don't know why you're there, yet there you are checking every day.  ;D

LOL There is always a but.

What I found interesting is that Clinton won in 2016 with 1.5 million less votes than she got in 2008.

7 million less people voted in the 2016 Deemocratic primaries. This is one of the facts that I believe makes this race so hard to predict. Whoever makes the least amount of mistakes from here on out is probably going to win.

Where oh where is Assange?

This Alt-Right speech she just delivered was one of the funniest piles of shit I've heard from a politician. Attacks Donald Trump for "creating the birther movement" conveniently forgets that was one of the key points from her 2008 campaign that she never backed down from.   ;D  ;D  ;D

God damn this corrupt evil old woman. Lied through her teeth consistently to such a point I feel like my intelligence has been insulted. If she had any charisma, she might actually be dangerous.
Gotta feel bad for those alt-right folks.  They have so many tough choices:

I'm rather confused as to what the Alt-Right actually is. It seems to be a media buzzword catch-all for people who hate leftist hypocrisy and tyranny. This covers the whole range from disillusioned liberals to full on 1488ers with no distinction of anything. It seems like they're upset about anyone who writes critical things about them online or questions their narratives.

I think of it this way - if the best way to free up space on your hard drive is to delete Pepe the Frog gifs, you are probably in the alt-right.

Is this real life anymore? My sides went into the stratosphere. What's funny is there were multiple anon there, this one posted right before he did it and another one had a Pepe poster behind Clinton. And this was out of about 250 people... 2016 is the craziest year I've ever experienced.
