Maybe because they are happy about it? I don't know what you are referring to though!

Serious Post

The only people who would be happy about this shit are Islamists. Of course I could be wrong.

How many Islamists live in Maine?

It appears that at 11 pm on Sept 11, 2012, the SoS of state was telling her daughter that the ambassador was killed by an al Qaeda like group. She would later lie and say it was because of a YouTube video. Wonder why she uses an alias when writing to her daughter.

Man, I sure hope Assange has the real goods and releases them soon.

Nah it has to do with us selling out our only reliable, on the ground, partners against Daesh in Syria for Erdogan. Two years flushed down the toilet for that piece of shit. Control your dog, Obama instead of letting him control you. That is what disappoints me the most. Letting Erdogan push us around. We are the United States of America. Act like it.

But Kurds are always sold out. Doesn't matter the president. Republican or Democrat. Same shit over and over. Erdogan plays Obama like a fool. I am not a very happy progressive today.

He played him like the fool that he is. Yeah, I heard about that and was pissed off too for the very same reasons. This guy always seems to bend over backwards to aide our enemies having me wondering about his true loyalties.

Bush Sr also sold out the kurds during desert Storm, the main reason why saddam gassed the shit out of them after the war

Doesn't surprise me. Another enemy of the State, in my opinion. But what one does does not absolve what the other did. Faulty thinking, as well as a cheap trick, used often by both parties, especially the Dems.

Kurds should have been given their own state a long time ago. Whomever drew the borders for Iraq had a sick sense of humor.

Same can be said for Pakistan and Afghanistan though as well.

With the non-existent chemical weapons.

We may not agree much about domestic issues but you are right on target about Erdogan and the Kurds.  Erdogan needs to go and the Kurds need our help.

I fully believe that Saddam did smuggle his wmd out of country before the 2003 invasion.

You, along with most of the public, are wrong. And I will even quote a liberal news source. I don't know why Bush never defended himself. Probably involved the fact they were all made by US companies, numerous soldiers were sickened by them, and coupled with the fact that they were negotiating to buy a bunch back on the black market.

You realize the Kurds are some of the major organized crime rackets in the world right? Human slavery, illegal arms, and they used to smuggle heroin out of Central Asia until we invaded Afghanistan.

Interesting.  However, that only explains old stockpiles. I believe they had newer weapons.  Still, I don't believe it was enough to justify a mission in Iraq.  What propelled Bush to attack Iraq were threats Saddam made against Daddy Bush.  Offering ransom and such for H. W's head.  It was a personal vendetta and Bush should never have used 9/11 and the wmd's as an excuse to attack Iraq.

I'm sure Syria would have been more than willing to help Iraq get rid of their weapons.  After all, then they could use them when they had a chance.

I seriously doubt it. Assad is Alawite (Which is a branch of Shia) and Saddam is Sunni. Syria, under the Assad family, was more closely aligned with Iran. Syria and Iraq have a very complicated history that didn't really begin to smooth over until after the invasion.

Assad had his own chemical weapons and didn't really need Saddam's stockpile. And Israel would've put a stop to any sort of transaction if one did take place. Israel tends to be proactive with shit like that.

They are not that new.  I had to stockpile those for my Mom in the last few years of her life.  She had no control over her bladder.

Sounds logical but one can't say definitively what took place on one side or the other.

She may also be wearing hipsters. They are padded hip pants designed to help prevent hip fractures if one falls down. (I know, plenty of built-in jokes with that one.) We know she's unsteady because we often witness others helping her move from place to place.

Logic until proven otherwise :) We could say Mormons are preparing to take over the United States by building secret mind control weapons at their isolated cult compounds in Utah. The ones where they practice polygamy with underage girls. You and I  have never been there so how can we confirm or deny such a claim? Hell, they probably are for all I know!

As far as I am concerned, once he kicked out the UN inspectors, it justified a mission to Iraq. Hell, I believe the bonuses he was paying Hezbollah for suicide bombers families justified a mission.  Maybe not the one we executed, and certainly not the way we handled the victory and subsequent pull out.

Sadaam was playing the ultimate bluff. As a Sunni he ruled over a mixed population and was surrounded by Sunni Saudis and Shia Irans and was trying to play the ultimate bluff by seeming to have a much more robust WMD program than he actually did.

That being said, there is no way to know what was destroyed by our air campaign leading up to both the first and second gulf wars. 5000 chemical weapons is nothing to sneeze at. Pun intended.
