I seriously doubt it. Assad is Alawite (Which is a branch of Shia) and Saddam is Sunni. Syria, under the Assad family, was more closely aligned with Iran. Syria and Iraq have a very complicated history that didn't really begin to smooth over until after the invasion.

Assad had his own chemical weapons and didn't really need Saddam's stockpile. And Israel would've put a stop to any sort of transaction if one did take place. Israel tends to be proactive with shit like that.

Assad and saddam were never that religious tho, all i know is I've heard credible things from people who were actually in iraq in 03 who have said that there was clear signs of missing chemical wmds.

You, along with most of the public, are wrong. And I will even quote a liberal news source. I don't know why Bush never defended himself. Probably involved the fact they were all made by US companies, numerous soldiers were sickened by them, and coupled with the fact that they were negotiating to buy a bunch back on the black market.

Lol you do know that im actually defending bush on this right? And i honestly wouldn't be surprised if there are still stock piles buried in the iraqi desert, the same way they buried those migs before the invasion kicked off.

actually defending bush

The story I read was that Hussein was seeking to build a gauss cannon to hurl iron-clad boulders as far as Tel Aviv, and had managed to clandestinely acquire several of the key components by the time of the invasion.

If true, this would explain much.

I'm not ragging on you. It just raises my hackles when people claim no WMDs were found. Even when I hear guests or hosts on talk shows mention it, I send them links like I posted. Nobody ever responds and they never correct themselves on air, but I feel I tried.

A lot of vets were exposed to nerve and mustard gas while destroying what they found. Not including those that were killed or wounded by ones used in IEDs. I bet Swordpoint9 could tell a story or three.

Yup the problem is people were expecting to find major nukes or stuff like that . And hasn't assad used sarin gas on his people?

It's amazing how you're Johnny-on-the-spot with links on Big Babylon, but on this question, you're still puzzled. Simply fascinating.

I've seen reports of chlorine, but I haven't been following it. I figured once he crossed the red line and Obama caved, there was nothing to see there.

How would Saddam have used them against the Homeland? And why didn't he use them during the war?

No basements in Texas. The water table is only about 8' at my house.

It's more complicated than that. Syria and Iraq had a large falling out in the late 70s, or early 80s when Saddam came to power and with the Iranian revolution the natural ties brought the two nations closer together.

He used them against Iran and against the Kurds. I think he used them in southern Iraq as well against the marsh people so he could drain the marshes. (I think I read that the marshes were being renovated as much as possible, not sure about now with ISIS).

8 ft ?!? How the hell do you build your Obama survival bunker with the water table that close to the surface?

Saddam used them against Iran when he was our dictator. So we went to war to protect the Kurds* Empress will be happy to know that

I had a deep-water oil construction-type company use a quick setting concrete to construct a sort of reverse damn and had the house constructed on a very small barge with empty imported 3L bottles of Hard Apple Cider from Angland (to both be green and support the global recycling economy), when the Obamageddon comes and the sea levels rise to their Greenspan-induced pre-Obama levels my house will be a veritable Noah's Ark of happy-touchy-feely-no-effendi-ness.

TYVM (the Thank You Very Much v1.12, not the obscene ACROIDNYM)

That is all.

Oh, I paid for the Tejas survival bunker with a short-sale on Carbon Credits.  I won't invest in non-Greenie/meanie companies.

That is all.

ETA: After the Obamageddon, I would not willing live in TX pre-collapse.  Eye Keed?
