Really?

- $7 trillion in new national debt under Obama…after he promised to decrease the deficit.
Yeah, because that minor financial crisis was such a nuisance.

Quote- Obamacare - or are you calling that a success?
Me, most Americans not in the 1% who didn't have insurance before, many small employers who are able to ease the administrative burden, the GAO, most economists (not affiliated with either CATO or Heritage), the very insurance companies who feared this, shall I go on?

Quote- Prematurely left Iraq and pronounced it "stable" so it could implode.  And then said it wasn't his idea.
Because going there under false pretenses to project power and empire was the right thing to do.
What you and most cons don't get is that WE DIDN'T WANT THE WAR!!!!

Quote- Meddling in local events, pouring gas on the fires of the Trayvon Martin and Ferguson MO incidents.
You're right, because he's only the President of DC.

Quote- An intentional refusal to enforce federal immigration laws.
Even though he has turned back and deported more illegal immigrants at this point than W. and Bubba combined?

Quote- Solyndra?
Savings and Loan scandal?  Oh, right, not that big.

QuoteFast and Furious?
Yes, a bad policy. Sorry, only Obama's ever had a policy that backfired. Any comment on Operation Wide Receiver?

QuoteBenghazi?
The battle cry of the put upon con.  Care to show me anything you wrote about Beirut Barracks bombing in 1983? Ignoring FBI memos about terrorist strike plot in summer 2001?  No?

QuoteThe politicization of the IRS?
Still to this day not a shred of evidence.  Also to this day, no proof that only conservatives were inconvenienced.  Not to mention, can anyone, anywhere show me how cons are entitled to tax-free status to fund raise and run ads on tv?  Thanks, Darrell Issa for spending over $14 million trying to find snarky bureaucrat e-mails.  Well worth it.

Quote- Violated the Constitution by using drone strikes to kill American citizens abroad without due process.
Yet you disapprove of his handling of terrorists. And how many "Americans" have been killed abroad, anyway?  Care to name them and the possible reason for their termination?

Quote- Using taxpayer dollars to bail out the private pension funds of autoworkers’ unions at GM & Chrysler.
This was wrong how? Kept GM and Chrysler afloat during a rough time.  Why do you hate Americans so much?

Aside from Fast and Furious, your list sucks.  It lacks perspective and an honest view of the world today.  You spout out rally cry one word responses like "Benghazi", so sure that it means something that, to date, no one has been able to detect.  Ask the producers of "60 Minutes" how they feel about reporting about "Benghazi"?

Your comprehension is severely lacking, friend.
Emotional reaction is what has given us every left wing failure of the past 100 years.
I sentence you to read every post I've ever written.

Your mistake is in presuming they're actually capable of comprehending the points you and many other have made, ad infinitum... Clearly, even a cursory analysis of the dialogues herein are proof to the contrary.

These folks have themselves convinced that they've been deprived and oppressed by Republicans from the Dark Side who on the one hand are stupid, but on the other are diabolical geniuses that, even when in the minority, can defeat The One's magnificent plans for the reorganization of the world!

The hippy movement died, a long time ago - it was an abject failure. The lingering affects of lysergic acid diethylamide, are permanent. Aldous excluded being the sole genuine hippy with class.

That's not the issue.  But don't let me deter you from hating on Obama.  That's the important thing, don't-you-know.

You dickheads are un-American shit nuggets.

I would suggest the folks that want to 'fundamentally change' the country are the haters.  Not to mention being the dickheads and un-American shit nuggets.

Who went to Ferguson to stirrup trouble?  The Democrat Media, Obama's flunky at 'Justice', his mouthpieces like Al Sharpton, and Democrat in good standing Jesse Jackson.  Who keeps the pot stirred up?  The 'Progressives'.  Just one example.

... Yes, a bad policy. Sorry...

Fast and Furious was 'bad policy'?

What exactly was the policy?  Other than putting the guns in the hands of narco-terrorists along the border so they could create MORE gun related mayhem, leading to calls for more gun control.

That's a bit more than just 'bad policy'.  It's an Impeachable, traitorous offense.  People were killed with those guns, including a Border Patrol Agent.

If that's wrong and there is something more to it, he needs to release the requested documents, and make his toadies available to the Congress for their long stalled hearings.  He's actually required by law under our system of checks and balances to do both anyway.  We call it Congressional oversight.

Abuse of power by using the IRS against political opponents.  'Not a shred of evidence', but we have people taking the Fifth, top IRS managers contradicting other top IRS managers under oath, testimony under oath that turned out to be flat out lies, a considerable amount of destruction of evidence requested by Congress and Federal Judges.  Stonewalling.

But no evidence.  Oh, ok.

How was this wrong?  In a bankruptcy/re-org there is a pecking order in the way assets are distributed to those with claims against the company.  The bondholders had priority claim to the assets, ahead of the Union's claims.

It was wrong/illegal, because after the re-org the thug in the White House handed the new Chrysler stock over to the union, bypassing the bondholders and threatening them by telling them they'd better not to go to court over it.  Chicago style.

That is actually a very good description of what the Left does routinely, and sums up the body of most of your posts nicely.

Look for any event or policy that can in any way be attributed to a political enemy or enemy party.  Twist it to make it sound as bad as possible.  Then amplify it.

Downplay, cover up, or flat out lie about the failures and the even downright illegal and/or Un-American policies of the Left.

If anyone points out Left-wing crimes and failures, pore through the history books to find some event that can be somehow compared to what's being criticized now, no matter how absurd, no matter the circumstances, no matter the motivations.

And presto, we have Benghazi compared to the Lebanon Marine barracks bombing.

We have Obama's horrific deficits compared to the Democrat Congresses deficits in the 80s, which are then blamed on Reagan.

We have Solyndra compared to the S&L scandal, and by extension implying that whole debacle was the fault of the R's

Somehow if something in the past can be drudged up, the current failure can then be excused and go unaddressed.  You've got an event in the past to counter every Obama failure.  Whether it fits or not.  Whether it was the R's or not.  Whether it's even remotely on the same scale or not.

This stuff from you often comes as a response to something I've posted.  Frankly, it's usually so inaccurate and absurd I don't really respond to most of it.

How many times have we heard the Liar-in-chief say he's 'not going to rest' until he gets to the bottom of whatever the latest scandal is?  Only to later be told it's not really a scandal at all.

How many times have we heard him say there's going to be 'a full investigation'?  Only for that particular failure to be tossed down the memory hole.

How many times has he said he had no knowledge of it 'until it came out in the paper'?  And then stonewall anyone looking into it.

Speaking of folks showing up and stirring the pot, remember those inbred pig-fucking gun nuts who came out with their popguns to support that racist rancher?  The one who had been illegally grazing his cows/sex partners on federal land for decades without paying?  They were ready to shoot people and everything.  But that's a TOTALLY different situation, because they love America and stuff.

Yes, you may need to go on.

Because from here it looks like few want it and fewer are buying it.  Are even half the projected 15% enrolled?  We were told there were 45 million uninsured (15% of a population of 300 Million).  Add to that the million whose policies were canceled.

And the biggest, worst hit won't be until January 2015 - it was cynically pushed out past the Nov elections.

These ObamaCare policies are about as popular as the Michelle Obama school lunches.

Yeah we know, you didn't want the war.  Exactly one person in the entire House and Senate voted against giving Bush II the power to go to war, but now you claim it was all Bush.  You are the same people who were insisting we unilaterally disarm in the face of Soviet aggression, and abandon our allies that were facing Soviet and Cuban aggression before they finally collapsed.

Not exactly the voices of prudence or reason.  If we lived in Medieval times, you'd be the ones wanting to open the gates and surrender to the army sieging our city.

You'd be the ones saying Hitler isn't so bad, and even if he is it's not our problem.

As President, Obama is required to address what is on his plate, so to speak.  Whether he wants to or not.

He was responsible for leaving a the best situation possible when getting us out of Iraq.  All he had to do was have a Status of Forces Agreement in place.  He sent Joe Biden to get one.  Joe Biden.

But he could have sent anyone, because he didn't want to reach an agreement on Iraq's security.  He just wanted to pull troops out and claim victory, for political purposes.  What's happening there now is on him.  The rise of ISIS is his legacy there.

Damn, these friggin' political threads turn to mud slinging fast!

QK shared a quote and clearly believes a strong offensive would be a solid approach to a troubling situation (ISIS).  At once the insults start flying.  Paperboy does not endorse such a strong response to the conflict and made no mention of Obama, and suddenly there are calls of racism.  (If I am going to try to be utterly honest, I will say that I can see how some of the things the conservative posters here say on the political threads could be construed as racist and homophobic... I see some homophobic barbs tossed by some on the left, too.)

Look, I know that damn near every regular political poster tosses feces here (I am sure I have said some insulting things), but what's the point of immediately slinging shit at the start of a brand new thread?  If you guys all just enjoy trashing each other, then have at it.  But if you hope to lure a fence sitter over to your side, maybe focus on something besides name-calling.  Yes, yes, yes, QK flings the shit, too.  My point is not that just one camp does it (conservative and liberal), but I think a lot of posters on this forum avoid the political threads because of the constant poo flinging.

Just a thought....

Seriously?

How many Conservatives have shot 'colored folks' in the face in Ferguson?

How many whites have shot blacks in the face in Ferguson?  Of those, how many were in an apparent kill-or-be-killed situation against a piece-of-shit criminal who had attacked them?

The problem is not racism.  The problem is black America is 13% of the population but as a whole is responsible for a significantly higher percentage of crime committed.  It leads directly back to a lack of a father in the home.  And that is a direct consequence of LBJ's 'Great Society' and  'war on poverty' - not eligible for certain handouts if a father is present, the more fatherless children, the more handouts - the core policies of which have been greatly expanded and continue to exist today

And you have the gall to even bring up Conservatives?

Quote from: NowhereInTime on August 21, 2014, 10:41:21 AM
Plus, what "interests" do we have for which our people should made to put their lives on the line?

You gave the lives of your best guys more than enough for foreign interests in the past. Now the parties actually involved should solve their problems themselves, as Europe by NATO and allies (China?) to be looked for urgently against Russia and also ISIS, though I repeat to say, I am grateful for Obamas lonesome involvement helping the brave Peschmergas.

I deeply regret the bitter fate of your fellow Americans fallen in the hands of these murderer lowlifes now giving their lives on that horrible way for Obamas high hearted protection of the world against the global threat originated by these desert racketeers.

But even if ISIS had no American hostages they would murder everywhere in the world by infamous complacent radical Islamistic slaughters by order of Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, what I said from the beginning.

Trading those 5 high level Taliban officials no doubt played a part in ISIS' demands for ransom and for the release of al-Qaeda prisoners being held at Gitmo.

It didn't take long for ISIS to try to get something from Obama too.  They will continue to test his resolve on not trading the Gitmo prisoners for more of their hostages.  Good going, Barry, you've increased the danger to us all.

On a related note, the non-partisan GAO (Government Accountability Office) determined Obama broke the law in the Bergdahl trade.  No worries, Obama thumbed his nose at them in advance this time.

Obama, not long after making his statement regarding the death of James Foley.  Good to know he doesn't let a mere beheading of an American interfere with enjoying the rest of his afternoon.  This is one ice cold SOB:

[attachimg=1]

By the way, all those who still think Big Media is fair or unbiased, or is downright right wing - imagine a Republican President trading those 5 Gitmo prisoners - described as 'the worst of the worst' and 'unreleasable' - going on vacation after vacation, golf outing after golf outing, making a few official speeches here and there so he can claim his flights to various fundraisers are for government business.

Imagine said Republican President being photographed like that the day of the beheading and the day after.

That person would never recover from the Media blitz.  Nowhere in Time would never let us hear the end of it.  With Obama, or any Democrat, it's crickets.

Bush wasn`t one to notify the press every time he visited with the families of fallen and wounded warriors. But I can tell you from personal experience, he was completely engaged and absolutely devoted (still is!) to comforting the families. As he often said "I`m not only the Commander-in-Chief, I`m also the comforter-in-chief." No truer words have been spoken.

It`s pretty bad when the French lectures our President on his tone deaf demeanor regarding the horrid murder of Mr. Foley.

To be completely fair to Obama, I think his staff has failed him on occasion when it concerns sensitive issues. They simply don`t have the experience to, shall we say, nudge the President toward the more acceptable path.
