It's worse than that.

The 'Progressive' 'intellectual' leadership (not the swooners - who think they are the compassionate ones, not even most of the folks in Congress or in government 0 who foolishly do their bidding out of greed and lust for power, but the ones with the long term agenda) have the same goals and the same enemies as the Islamists.

They both hate the rest of us - with Israel and the US at the top of the list, followed by Europe and any Christians anywhere - and they both want a one-world government run by themselves.  They probably aren't (yet) in cahoots, and the Islamists don't give a rip what the 'Progressives' are doing, but these 'Progressives intellectuals' don't mind the terrorists creating chaos and moving towards their worldwide 'Caliphate'.  They'll worry about the Jihadists after the rest of us are defeated and gone.

We see the hand of our enemy within in Obama's actions, we see it in the open southern border, and we see it in our immigration policy (how many Germans did we import during WWII ?  How many entered our country illegally during the war ?  How many weapons did FDR provide them ?).  This isn't that difficult - if we listen closely, we can hear the hard Left telling us how much they despise us every day.

I need to get out more, because I was under the impression that hard Left "Progressives" love Europe like a child loves a velveteen rabbit because of all the socialism. When did they start hating it?

Couldn't have said it better.

I guess the Enoch quote worked as expected...

The reason the world is going to bleed is because of people like the handful of liberal loons on this forum, and they will cry for men of character to save them when their head is the one being severed.

Truthfully, I see them to be enemies as much as I do Islamic extremists.

Only you didn't have a clue who 'Enoch' was when Albrecht quoted him... which is why you quoted something else. Now, you're going to be the expert on Enoch Powell...nice try qunt.. but no cigar.

If I or anyone has to cry for men (and women) of character, you'll be untroubled with the request you can be sure...

The bible quote that Jews and Christians say is apocryphal?

Keep with the insults though, we  have a book going on it (a few of us). The least amount of ineffectual insults you throw out guessed so far is 32. You're way ahead on that.

I have better things to do with my time than count the insults from the fag-clique here. I'm surprised you can count that high though...

Honestly, pud, if i saw you, or any of your moronic friends being attacked and beheaded in the street, I would do just like an Englishman, and stand there and just watch and do nothing...

Wait.  Wat?  When you started this thread, you called people who engage in these beheadings "animals."  But if it is performed on someone you dislike, you not only condone it, you would enjoy watching it and then would participate by committing a vulgar act upon the corpse.

How does this make you different than those animals, again?  I can't wait to see you get a hernia trying to wiggle out of this one.

Dear NowhereInTime, thank you for giving me the chance to hold my high respect for Obama, though I never was in doubt about, but listening to a second side as to you feels good.

The threat from Muslims goes beyond petty politics. It is already a fixture in Europe and the UK and only a matter of time until it spreads here (thus far in the US we've only dealt with the bombings, 911, and, of course, "honor killings.") Two of the most shocking examples, but there are many others. From the mudane and almost daily riots and harassment by Muslims in France to beheadings and shootings. And, of course, the sex rings ignored by the police and social services due to political correctness. Politicians seem too weak willed to identify the problem lest they are accused of not being politically corrrect or worst forced to admit their errors in immigration policies. Sometimes I think only the football hooligans could provide a real solution. Holger Danske awake. Europeans awake.

All of you, go watch the video.  Go ahead get your popcorn.  It probably comes across as some low budget direct to video movie.  I won't watch it.  I've seen the victims of beheadings first hand when I had my second go around in the gulf.  It is an act of terror not plain old vanilla murder.

We all want a world where we don't have to spend money on police, on prisons, and on the military.  Problem is, we can't have the world we want simply because we want it.  We can't operate as if criminals and people like ISIS, Putin, the Chinese and Iranian governments don't exist, or if we could just get rid of the Saddams, the al-Assads, the Mubareks, and the Khadafys, that better people will automatically take their place.  It's foolish - and deadly - to think it will either all go away, or at least not effect us, if we ignore it.

I'm not going to bother arguing about it, you're far enough gone that nothing anyone would say would convince you of anything.

I would like to know though, when did Israel ever start anything?

I said the same thing a long time ago... I started this thread because I though a journalist having his head cut off was barbaric and hoped people would connect the dots that having a fucking useless pussy as a President is ENABLING the animals would do such a thing and, well, you know the rest of the story.

What are you going to do when Boogie Man Obama leaves office and your world is still a paranoid's nightmare?

Depends on what the next President does.

Remember the mess in 1980 - Soviets on the move in Afghanistan, and their proxies Cuba in places like Angola.  Central America in bad shape with the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, FMLN in Salvador.  Guatemala and Honduras under siege.  FARC gaining in Colombia.  Tupac Amaru and Sendero Luminoso gaining in Peru.

We were still extremely concerned with the Cold War, and nuclear devastation sure seemed real.  Much of Europe still under Soviet domination behind the Iron Curtain.  it seemed at times as if the Soviets were gaining the upper hand.  The aftermath of our exit from Vietnam leading to murder, re-education camps, and boat people there, and of millions (!) murdered next door in Cambodia.  The rise of the PLO in Israel, the aftermath of the fall of the Shah in Iran.

All this while we were drawing down our military, abandoning our allies, destroying our intelligence collecting ability, and projecting weakness.  Much of it a result of Jimmy Carter.  Obama's policies and ideas end up getting us to the same place Carters did, the difference being Carter truly believed policy based on human rights rather than national security was right, while Obama is more of a clueless reckless menace.

By the time the Reagan Administration was over 8 years later, the Soviets were much less threatening and were in fact about to crumble.  As was their hold on Eastern Europe.  They were out of Afghanistan, out of Angola, Central and South America were freer and more secure.

The Middle East was at least stable, as was SE Asia.

Our military had been rebuilt, as had our intelligence collecting apparatus.

We got lucky, the tide can't always be turned.

Much the same could be written about The Economy from Carter to Reagan.

And now to Obama following in Carters blundering footsteps.

What are you going to do when Boogie Man Obama leaves office and your world is still a paranoid's nightmare?

By the time the Bush I Administration was over, Bill Clinton was handed a situation where the world was more secure than it had been in decades if not centuries.  The economy was moving along nicely at what is considered full employment.  We entered the current computing, communications, and bio-tech age.

Clinton mishandled the breakup of Yugoslavia and the Balkan wars, Somalia, and Rwanda, but those at least didn't threaten us.  He missed a great opportunity to develop ties with Russia.  He allowed our jobs to be exported to China.  Instead of eliminating threats like a budding al-Qaeda, and instead of tinkering with Social Security, Medicare, and the national debt to put them each on more solid footing, he played with interns and any other women who came within arms reach.

That period of peace and prosperity was a blown opportunity for the self proclaimed 'policy wonk' to set us an a more sustainable course as far as financing the government and it's programs, and to deal with a rising China from a position of strength.

Instead of continuing on the right path, the greed and corruption of the Clintons took center stage.  Such a waste of opportunity.

I do read your posts and I believe your frustration is sincere.  It's why I asked rather than immediately "leap to the defense" of Barry O.

I voted for Barack Obama because I am sick of seeing American troops put into life and death situations based on "interests" Iraq was an interest of the Bush Administration, not the nation at large.  Afghanistan was mishandled, though Bin Laden was eventually killed.  How do you fight through that kind of corruption?
I don't agree that dispensing with violence is "American Power."

Disinterest in what?  Crimea?  Israel? What more would someone else have done that would not result in our involvement in yet more war?  South China Sea?  Japan and China need to learn to live together; why do we have to always be involved over there?

By the by, I hope you are paying close attention, because China is about to drag us into another Depression.  Talk about "waste".

Who have we abandoned?  Israel?  We just sent them a boatload of missiles and have been trying to help negotiate peace.  Netanyahu is the one abandoning us to keep conservatives happy.

You mean like killing bin Laden?
Honestly, I don't know what you're referring to.  The sanctions against Putin?  Did you read where most of the original Russian separatists have already quit the fight?
I think the Obama Doctrine is geared toward answering challenges through diplomacy, back channel communication, and through intermediary rather than shaking our fists all the time.

Two soldiers who served in Vietnam (Hagel - two purple hearts, Kerry awarded many medals) and were elected to the United States Senate (Both served on Foreign Relations - Kerry chaired).
You call them "idiots" and "traitors".  I will refrain from starting a mudfight but I will say not only do I disagree with your perspective but I find it highly offensive that you besmirch soldiers and statesmen in this manner.  Not to mention, who is more accomplished to perform these jobs?

In the hopes of peace?  What do you suppose they were discussing?

You mean with a stop-loss strategy of recalling people who have more than done their duty already?

I'm sorry, but that's specious.  There has been no such occurrence.

Yes, he did.  Briefly.  He is trying to wean Israel off of starting fights and expecting us to step in.  I am frustrated by Netanyahu.  He is always spoiling for a fight and expects us to step in to assist.

Eqypt, by the way, not our friends.  And the Kurds?  I'm not trying to be rude, but the air strikes in Iraq have been in support of the peshmerga, as well as protecting our consulate in Urbil.

People like me elected him to do this; I am beyond sick and tired of chicken hawk diplomacy. We have values, we should live up to them.  We have "interests", we should negotiate for them.  If there's a direct threat to this nation, we have more than enough defense to defend our country.

Too many senior Pentagon officials are just waiting out retirement to jump over to defense contracting or private special operative companies like Blackwater.  Too many contracts are bid quid pro quo, with positions as contractors and lobbyists awaiting military leaders who are supposed to defend this country.  Too many weapons programs are redundant and way overrun on cost (F-35?)

"Needed ships"?  To protect cargo ships from China so Wal-Mart can sell goods?  Sorry, not on my dime.  Let China protect their own cargo ships, or let Wal-Mart pay a service charge and hire in ships.
Again, we have been supplying humanitarian aid, but why should we carry the freight for the Middle East? Do you really think is ISIS is committed to attacking us that fighting a non-stop war in Iraq will "keep them there"?  Unlikely.
Honestly, we need to go back to the very counterterrorism investigations we were doing pre-9/11.  We had lines on all of these guys and political actors in high levels of government ignored and denied the grunt work.
No.  See above.  Not carrying Japan or Vietnam's freight, either.

The evidence supports that sanctions are working; the "Separatists" are losing their taste for the fight; even Putin appears to be looking for a face-saving end.  Europe, so far, is standing strong.

No offense, but NO.
That "stupid treaty" is working; enough with the fist waving.

We do.  No evidence to the contrary.  Israel needs to use more discretion in targeting, though.

I prefer to try to work Turkey back into a European mode than the Islamic fundamentalist mode they're drifting into.

Sure.  No argument there.

Well, he started to until conservatives started flapping gums here causing conservatives in Iran to flap back.  Remember they had offered to assist us.

I do read your stuff.  Sometimes you make sense, other times it's diatribe.  You resent Barack Obama.  I don't see, however, how he has harmed this country from a foreign policy position.  If our policy is solely "walk loudly, swing big stick", then we will never solve these crises.

You sound like one of those "Progressive" types who hates Europe and devotes his weekends to helping murderous extremists establish a global caliphate.  Shame on you.

What are you going to do when Boogie Man Obama leaves office and your world is still a paranoid's nightmare?

Bush II was a disaster from start to finish.

Al Gore's attempt to steal that election caused enormous damage - after the election, the Bush team was focused on that instead of planning their Administration and making appointments.  Instead of having his team and his policies in place at the start of his term, they were still scrambling.  Maybe if he'd been settled in earlier they would have been aware and able to stop 9/11.  We'll never know.

While the hard Left 'Progressives' were taking over the Democrat Party, the Bush/Rove Establishment, crony capitalist, globalist, elitist wing of the Republican Party solidified their hold on that party.  Lowering taxes while increasing spending was a disgrace.   The additional spending itself was a disgrace.

Attacking Iraq and Afghanistan were incredible blunders.  Thousands of lives, trillions of dollars, all for nothing.  Afghanistan was always going to revert back to what it was before as soon as we leave, and Saddam was the person holding Iraq together and keeping the worse of the Muslims under control there.

So like I said, it depends on what the next President does.  One thing sure, we need to start taking our elections seriously - they matter.
