Maybe a special line for people who are living in secret rooms unbeknownst to the home's occupant(s).  What a nightmare.

What scares me is that $noorge has been living in my radio for the last 10 years and I've tried everything to get rid of him.

Pullling the plug. Cutting the cord. Exorcisms. Nothing works.

What also frightens me is that Tommy might come through the speakers and wind up living in my refrigerator and I'd starve to death because of it.

Art: "You're going to have to yell at us, caller. Get right up on your phone."
Caller: "I can't, they'll hear me."

ROFLMAO!!!!!

That's a good name for Coast to Coast.  You are on to something...I do not doubt you now!

Considering that Tommy likes to dress in drag it would be more like Minnie Mouse and Phlegmatic.

any real news on art bell the last 50 pages?

and you are holier than thou.

I'm sinner. That is, I believe there is a right way and wrong way to behave....
Crude mannerism IMHO is demeaning to oneself and others.
The Tattooed Generation doesn't have clue as to how they are limiting their opportunities, they may as well get tattooed on their foreheads "I'm An Idiot"
But mostly, I'm just passing some time, amusing myself on BellGab until we hear something from Art.

Certain people print G*d like that or G-- for religious reasons. I've started doing it for reasons of me own partly because I worry about offending the deity as I approach the slippery slope that we all face.
The first that I had ever seen of the practice was reading the lyrics on a Leonard Cohen CD and he used G--.  He sings it in the song, but refused to write it down.  That got me looking into the practice a little.  While I cannot say that I personally see the point of it, many do.

I always figure that I offend God enough with what I do (for example, cursing on a forum just to make a point) that he is likely to overlook my writing the name out.  I can imagine standing in front of the pearly gates and being told that while he could overlook my killing a brother he simply would not look past my typing his name.  (I love the fact that there is enough diversity that Cohen and scholars can refuse to write it out and others can refuse to capitalize it...)

So the best hope we have is a guy with an avatar of Art Bell flipping us off saying that December 2nd we get the show back?

As a newcomer here, I do have one question: how does anyone know that George Noory actually posts here and it's not some imposter? It seems odd that he would be on an Art Bell message board during his show.

It is the real Mr Noory, click on the above Gab Cast link and listen to him talk with MV and other long time members of this forum.

I know that was pretty rad. I was able to listen to KNYE on my kindle from the stream on his web site. Unfortunately I cant find a place on the web where I can hear KNYE on my kindle now that its not on Arties web site. He should put the streaming back on his site at least so its another feature and to give us some hope when he is released from his NC in 2 years. Afterall, he has stated once he is free, he will be streaming from his web site (artbell.com). Why not keep it going until then?? I also miss hearing from Art Bell here on the forum. I dont think it would herd to pop in and say  "Hello vaguely loveables"!!!

You should be able to download the Tunein radio app from the Android store and stream KNYE from there.

I posted this in GNS, but sometimes a song bears repeating so ...

To the theme of the song Tammy with abject apologies to Debbie Reynolds.

" I hear the fridge door opening above.
  Tommy. Tommy. Samiches he loves.
No pizza rolls for him, no pigs in a glove.
  Tommy. Tommy. Samiches he loves.

  And that samich,
  How does it feel ?
  When Tommy, Tommy, scarfs one,
  For a meal.

Mayonaise, mustard and lettuce for a bed.
  If samwiches were human,
  To Tommy they'd be wed.

  But wait,
  There's always more.
  As we're about to hear,
  From the $noore.

He leaves the stuh-dio 'bought a quarter to 3,
There's no one in the 7-11 except the clerk and he.
So set 'um Achmed and wrap it to go,
  Cause there's a turkey samwich,
And with me it shall go.

  $noorge walks out
with the bag to his car,
  But suddenly we can see,
  He doesn't get far.

  In an old beat up,
  Grey and yellow cab.
  Are Meh-sick-an terrorists,
  Their guts all a-flab.

They grab $noorge and push him,
  Into the car.
While the samwhich intended for $noorge,
  doesn't get far.

  Out of his car,
  Tommy does leap.
  He never met a samwhich,
  he didn't want to eat.

The samwhich it meets a horrible fate,
it dies in the hands of Tommy,
   and not on a plate.

   Meanwhile the Mexicans have,
   done a uturn.
   There's smoke and the smell,
   of tires a'burnin'.
They turn back to the 7-11,
   we see.
   Because they thought they,
   were kidnapping Ron Jeremy.

So now I must end this cheezy breadfilled tale,
   until the next time.
When we see if $noorge will prevail.

   refrain :

   Tah-meee, Tah-mee, Tah-mee its true ! "

Could a non-compete keep Art from co-hosting a show? Would Art ever consider being a co-host?

Yes. I couldn't imagine Art being a co-host when he's been solo all these years. In fact, I find that suggestion laughable.

I applaud MV and company for creating the culture that makes Art and George want to come here with updates and spin.

I have actually worked in diverse environments and I believe there are people who subvert the efforts of others in every work environment.  The major difference that I've found is that in the sadder and poorer parts of society more minds dwell among the negative aspects of life.  People there seem to have less of an ability to train their minds to rise above and overlook certain situations.  They are more likely to react before thinking.  They are more likely to react emotionally and physically.  They dwell in a world of resentments and grudges.

Using excessive words of a certain sort leaves the impression that you want to identify with people who 'can't make it in the world'.  Maybe you don't have the native ability to lift yourself out of the gutter - you are to be pitied.  But maybe you're the sort who is lazy and it's easier for you to wallow in that element of society.  I guess you are to be pitied then, as well.

I use 'you' rhetorically, I hope you realize that.
While the post and the argument is interesting, it is also a major generalization.  There have been many studies that point to the fact that money does buy happiness to a point.  You are correct that in general the sadder and poorer people do tend to dwell more on the negative aspects of life.  Until people have enough cash for stability this is true.  It is true of both those who would curse and a church going little old grandma who has never used a bad word in her life.

The fact is that the argument that somebody cursing automatically denotes poor breeding, lower class or poor manners falls flat on it's face.  If I go out with some old friends and ask that they clean up their language It would actually reflect very poorly on me.  it would be my attempting to impose my morals and values on them in an environment where I have no right to do so (work, funerals, job interviews and the likes would be an example where there is / can be some leeway for demanding certain behaviors.)  My demanding that they clean up their language while out for a beer would be a much more egregious breach of etiquette than dropping a few "F bombs" myself.

There is also a major distinction between people who lack the self discipline and awareness to tailor their language and behavior to suit their environment and those who can.  I avoid cursing at work (depending on who is around and the subject there is sometimes a little language used.)  In meetings and interacting with other departments I am the perfect gentleman.  When I am around my grandparents or my sisters twins I have yet to allow a curse escape.  When I am out for a beer with old friends... well, I'm certain that I may not pass as an alter boy.  Here at Bellgab the expectations that the owner and other posters have are closer to being out for a beer than attending a formal party...

Sounds pretty godly of you.

Basically, people on here are mad at George because he isn't Art Bell? George is an average host and seems to have lost passion for his job, but that just makes him your average radio host. Does that warrant vicious, personal attacks?

I think Art Bell is a radio genius, but that doesn't mean that when he quits everyone else has to quit radio as well.

I'm a little ticked at Art because I was looking forward to listening to Dark Matter during our upcoming holiday road trips (I prefer to drive mostly at night). I'm hoping 6 Week Tenure is right about December 2nd, but I'm skeptical (no offense intended).

Also, I am a happy Sirius subscriber (have been for years). I drive a lot where there is limited radio reception in the mountains, so Sirius makes the trips so much better. I also listen at home for hours at a time online, and I have almost NEVER had a problem with the online streaming, and that goes for Howard Stern (who I listen to every Mon-Wed that it is on), NFL play by play games, and Dark Matter (when it was on). So I call B.S on the streaming issue and the issue of calls. Stern has no problem getting calls, and Sirius NFL Radio (which I listen to all the time) also gets plenty of calls.

I think there is more to the story than we'll ever know, but I'm frankly shocked that Art pulled the plug so soon.

The creature broadcasts among us.

He couldn't wait to tell us a negative story about little kids.
Scientists say kids under 2 should keep away from screens.
I think they're doing the right thing.
They might come across a picture of $noory and he blinded for life.
And then the $noore was discussing MAVEN and had a New Mars expert.
So much for Hoagie's " job " as the official Coast Science Advisor.

And now ...

Here's Shirley !

" May I just say how much I admire yew, George ! "

And I gotta listen to this so I can do a video ?

Now $noorge is asking about the Rat Pack.
Sinatra, Sammy and Dino are spinning in their graves.

She's got a cold and has cleared her throat twice.
Someone get her a Halls or something.
Yechh !

Artie would NEVER be a co-host nor do I ever see him having replacement hosts on his show if/when he comes back. Art Bell just doesnt play well with others.

You have much history to learn.

In the beginning G*d created radio. Now the ether was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the desert and the spirit of G*d was hovering over Lake Mead.

And G*d said :

" Let there be broadcasting. "

And there was broadcasting.

And G*d saw the ether was good and he separated AM from FM, ham from bacon, and ham radio from the police and weather bands.

And it was good.

And it was the first day.

But Gabriel said :

" Lord, all we hear is static and the ether is without words and all is either static or silence. "

G*d heard and he created Bell.

And it was good.

On the second day.

On the third day G*d got cut off when he tried to call Art with a cell phone and the radio on.

So, G*d being displeased created $noory on the fourth day.

And it was bad.

And really, really sucked.

Then G*d gave up and went to Vegas to create nevermore.

I'll admit that I don't know all the history and drama. I just listened to Art on the radio and loved his shows. When I heard he was coming to Sirius, I was thrilled, since I am already a subscriber anyway. After a few shows I realized how much I missed him on the radio, and it brought back many years of fond memories of driving through the darkness for work exploring the mysteries of the universe with a truly one of a kind host.

Then, just like that it was gone again. To me, that's all on Art. I truly think he has some self-destructive tendencies and acts in an impulsive manner. I also happen to fall into the camp that believes he realized that he didn't actually want to do this again full-time, and wanted to avoid looking like the bad guy.

Doesn't change the fact that I think he is an incredible broadcaster, but he is also a human being, and I think he makes some extremely hasty and ill advised decisions that unnecessarily cause drama (see this thread).

Sirius went after him because they wanted him. They built a studio in his house. They hyped his show (I even heard ads for it during Howard Stern's show). Then he quits 6 weeks in and makes them look like the bad guys. People act like Sirius fired him and now wants to conspire to keep him off the air. In my view he realized that the gig wasn't what he wanted (happens all the time) and found a way to make himself out to be the victim.

He didn't get enough calls but wants to do a podcast type show (which most people listen to on demand)? How does that make sense? Also, I listen to Sirius NFL radio a lot, and they have callers all day long.

As much as I love Art, I don't have a stupid button I can hit to make myself ignore the obvious.
