and luckily, the costs of doing those things have become almost negligible (basic android/iphone apps are pretty cheap to have built, streaming is very cost effective, etc)

So, that might be a way of competing with Sirius without directly doing so? Or to have some kind of infrastructure in place for Art's eventual return? Not sure how all of this works, but it's giving me a good feeling.

Well it's interesting, isn't it. Adam Carolla has put together a network of shows on his podcasting site. So there is an opportunity. And it could also be that as long as Art is not *hosting* a show, maybe there's a way around the NC?

I like thinking that MV is holding some cards close to the vest on this one (even if that's not actually the case). ;)

Thanks, thought they might have had the air traffic channel up again.

Also.. the stream sounds as clear as a (art)Bell

Well, they're still calling it a test, so that gives me hope.

Kevin Smith of Clerks fame has also set up a very successful podcast network with a variety of shows. He also does a lot of his live in front of an audience.

They have even taken and sold out shows on the road all over the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. I went to his sold out show in Melbourne last year.

Not advocating that Art should have to leave Pahrump to do the show but podcasts can be popular and lucrative if managed and promoted right.

Change it to liquid lunch hour and you have a date. No funny business.

There is a lot of material out there and I'm sure many paranormal type shows could find a home streaming through Art's site. The exposure alone would be valuable. Hope this is not the only time we hear MV through Art's site.

Aw, not even a gentle reach-around? Or a nice, warm spooning?

or accept international callers exclusively from aussie land ;)

Note that the international phone terrorist and destroyer of shows has been absent on the forum now going into 2 days.

Must be throw a 'roo on the barbie week down there which is why we don't see him.

I remember when my then little daughter said that....

My how time rages on...

I'm just catching up on this thread's pages so I apologize if you've already answered this question.
Is you daughter "Miss Maggie?"  I remember hearing her too.  WHEN Art returns, I'd love it if he uses her intro again. ;D

I never got that whole "anus in my chin" thing that seemed to be desirable in some circles during a certain time.

No, no, no. Don't you listen to George? That's where the angel touched Kirk Douglas on the chin and told him to forget his prenatal existence before traveling through the birth portal.

Sheesh.
