I really hope Art takes a cue from Leo Laporte and starts his own network on the internet. One main show, Dark Matter, and a good mixture of shows covering other subjects just like tonight's Spec Sheet.  He could get sponsors and advertisers for every show to offset the costs, make apps for all devices with live streaming and on-demand listening.  Maybe I'm just dreaming eh?

No it's  the DATA!!!!!!

For the love of god, please, just look at it.  The data, I mean.

Already way better than sNoory's nonsense.

Yes it is.

Might add that I went out for a drive with my cell phone while listening. Streamed dropped in bad reception areas, but picked back up with no user intervention.

Boy, this is a great show. Loving this trio.

Me too. They mix well together.

Hello fellow Bell fans.

I have been listening to Art for years after I discovered old streams of c2c one fateful day. It really helped me through some tough times. You know the rest of the story: I was happy when he came back and upset when he left. I've been following the thread since it began.  I think Art mentioning the site on the air (several times) is why I gravitated here after his shocking departure.

Anyway please forgive me if this point has been brought up before, but why would this ever have been considered "win win" by Sirius?  It seems like a good idea on the surface but what I haven't heard anyone comment on is the fact that Sirius advertised other shows and services during the live stream of DM. They would be forfeiting that important benefit. That's the first thingi thought about anyway.

Nuclear Roswells to all.

P.s. Freddy may be behind this all...

The win-win would be because Art would get to access all his fans, and Sirius would have reduced pirating, larger advertisement exposure, exclusivity of the show to their network (with the exception of Artbell.com live streaming ONLY during live shows-- repeats wouldn't be streamed), and the entire Dark Matter archive available solely on the SiriusXM app. In addition, they would not have to pay for the salary of Art, his producer, or his webmaster.

Basically... they would get nearly free content with an established base, and Art Bell would get to do what he loves most.

Not dreaming at all.....  Heck if Jeff Rense can have a network then Art sure could.   He just has to be free to do so and of course have the interest.

All I can say is that I expressed extreme glee upon reading this article.

...and like Art Bell said, "The paranormal deserves better."

Whats next?  The gabcast streams with Art Bell as a weekly guest?? wouldn't be a problem really with the NC would it?

Ah, they're making fun of Richard Hoagland. "bring up Picture 5!"

I enjoy him and his manic enthusiasm.

The three guys are doing well, especially The Campfire Guy.

I've never listened to Jim Harold before tonight.  He's a great guest, and MV & Curtis do a fine job of interviewing and keeping the discussion flowing.  This is good stuff, kids!

Art is finally playing it smart by keeping quiet for now and being a guest on the Gabcast weekly flies in the face of that strategy.

stevenotero

Great job on this interview MV!

Also, wanted to add that the stream hasn't dropped for me at all.

Five by Five here.

You'd think that's the plan?

Or Jack Paar.  (I know.  Nobody here but me remembers him.)
