The Negro Spiritual music was the high point of the broadcast.

I know but Heather blocked his number afterward which sucks.

Actually, the slave music was pretty good. Waaah waah come the cries of racism, of course, but it is moving nonetheless.

I listened to both of these people and I'm not sure if I was listening to the same show. One came off as genuine in expressing how they truly felt about the incident and the other seemed to be attempting to pass everything off as a misunderstanding. If someone's attitude is confrontational but their intention was to 'joke around' how long am I expected to guess at their true intention. I have to take it as it's presented to me and it's up to the jokester to not let it get out of hand. I certainly wouldn't expect to wait 48 hours for clarity. An e mail or a PM could have cleared this up before it spilled over on to the forum. A private apology would not have been out of line. Lesson learned- stay in character - if you're serous; stay serious- if you're joking around, you're under an obligation to let the person know this before the conversation ends.
Yes, quite sad.  I hope Bateman just steers completely clear of the entire DMDN trainwreck.

I think the highlight for me was the host who was broadcasting from an iron lung. Doing a show while passing away, that's dedication.

She let a lot of interesting things slip.

- The show is down to a few hundred listeners.

Really did she say that? I must have missed that part. WOW!

People are piling on bateman? That's utterly bizarre, I thought he roundly kicked Heather's ass who came off as a loony toon.
I missed the majority of it... But I can honestly say that I am done with it all.  So, it is all done for the Lolz and it is all just a big, happy joke?  Fine- don't I feel the perfect asshole for being a little concerned.

Time to revert back to "don't give a fuck mode."  All that I said was true... I wish Art the best and I appreciate the shows and the hours of entertainment.  I wish Heather the best.  May she continue to find her Lolz- but it won't be laughing at the idiot gullible enough to be concerned.

good news for bellgab that they have no black members or listeners. but yeah, I saw no harm in it. Just goofy bs.

Imconfused

When is this gonna be up for download?

Who's in charge of this?

Answer me,  goddammit!

Yeah she let it slip during one of her rants. I don't remember the exact words but it was something to the effect of when she screws up hundreds and hundreds of people hear it.

It's why she's so dependent on these Facebook groups to call in, otherwise the show would be all wormhole messages and musky bottoms.

Heather came across as fraudulent for the first time. Too me, at least... Just my opinion.

I like that era of music, context aside. It was the one good thing to come out of slavery. Not trolling, folk music reflects its time.

The early polling was anti-Batemen but the trend quickly reversed and is holding. I've said it before: There are a bunch of smart people here. Besides that, Heather is very easy to see through.

- Daily phone calls between the two where she begs him every day to come back
- Art still approves all major aspects of the show.

Yeah, not much to go off of until tonight. Struck gold, comedy gold!

Trainwreck in the desert
'You mad bro' across the sky
This passive aggressive journey
will take us on a ride
Filled with circular logic
and logical fallacies
Will we make it till tomorrow
Is Heather Wade on her knees?

Trainwreck in the desert
and we're listenin'

ooooo, we're listenin' to you...

No one asked if they were in a relationship. It's a simple question, and would clear up a lot of things.

The reaction would be the tell.

(Redacted) claimed that she was joking about Bateman taking over the show but serious if he took her up on the offer for Monday night, yet claims in the next breath that the entire conversation was only to rattle his cage. Loony doesn't even begin to cover her issues. It was a terrible attempt at PR in a long line of missteps from the Art Bell camp.

Not so much loony, I think, as being a game-player who is in over her head. This Mata Hari would lose her head, literally, on her first mission.

I don't know the numbers, but from the last screen cap a week ago on one listening platform she peaked at 1533 listeners, but at the time the screenshot was taken it was around 1200.

You also have to count the different affiliates and the different listening platforms as well, if you want a better grasp of the listening audience.

That was a missed opportunity. All in all, despite the TKO of Heather, I thought the show was pretty civil. That'd probably be a bad taste question. Although you're completely right.

Did she really say hundreds of listeners? :O
Things are much worse than I expected then... Judging by the the stream numbers before keith shut it down it looked like she had at least a thousand still.
