Yes.  I was toasted golden-brown that night.  When people started calling in saying they were seeing UFO's... I had goosebumps all over & and dancing all over the living room.  ;D  No one else can equal radio like that.

We concentrated together!  Ha haaa

This is awesome.

I remember the UFO one. I didn't see any when I went outside to look, but
it was fun anyway!

not to say Cannabis can't be abused, Graham Hancock had a Ayahuasca experience that told him he had a Cannabis problem and he had to stop and he did. Really interesting Author.

One person dies every six seconds from Tobacco related illness.

ZERO recorded deaths as result of Cannabis consumption. In recorded history.

Turns out that a glass of milk is for dopes, after all:

According to a CDC/FDA study, between 1998 and 2005, milk was implicated in 45 outbreaks, 1007 cases, 104 hospitalizations and 2 deaths.

Thanks lonevoice but that's ab. AB is on the air.
Of course, you're right.  I don't know what I was thinking...ab.

I'm of the opinion after less than an hour that Lloyd is level headed and knowledgable and should be in the rotation of recurring guests.

coaster

So tired of losing my damn internet connection.

Never touch the shit.

I don't drink milk unless its cannabis infused milk.

Once again, had to get rid of my friends by calling their parole officers. Should be golden now.

That's some potent, wonderful stuff.

The US gov's war on drugs did such a disservice to the discussion of substance use and abuse.

Add to that the market forces that brought about stronger/more potent strands of marijuana. And it is undeniable the conversation will be extremely complex.

Most people that use marijuana will not suffer any medical issues. But a small percentage of people will suffer some psychosis. I think the stat is around <1%.

If one is taking some form of medication for mental illness, adding marijuana makes assessing the efficacy of medication almost impossible.

But most recreational users have no issue, certainly not as many problems as those that use alcohol long term.

I'm enjoying this guest, Auerbach is a good one so far.

All this talk about pot is giving me the munchies. Anyone got any pistachios or something?

I agree. He is a model guest. John Hogue should take notes on how good interviews are done.

Every single person who drank milk in 1896 is dead now!

Plus, there are people who should be tokers, and those who should not. Guild and I are of the former, Gorge Noory is of the latter, as an example.

Yes, I'm liking Professor Loyd.
He sounds knowledgeable, is articulate, and has a nice sense of humor.
I keep thinking that he is sort of a Paranormal Michio Kaku.

unintended consequences, but also forseeable. Legalizing and producing would take the criminal element completely out of the equation.

Agreed, I think that this is the main reason people argue about the plant. If more people knew about the smear campaign from the 1930s, I think they'd have different thoughts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_history_of_cannabis_in_the_United_States#Marijuana_Tax_Act_.281937.29

Newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst's empire of newspapers began publishing what is known as "yellow journalism", demonizing the cannabis plant and putting emphasis on connections between cannabis and violent crime. Several scholars argue that the goal was to destroy the hemp industry, largely as an effort of Hearst, Andrew Mellon and the Du Pont family. They argue that with the invention of the decorticator hemp became a very cheap substitute for the wood pulp that was used in the newspaper industry. They also believe that Hearst felt that this was a threat to his extensive timber holdings. Mellon was Secretary of the Treasury, as well as the wealthiest man in America, and had invested heavily in nylon, DuPont's new synthetic fiber. He considered nylon's success to depend on its replacement of the traditional resource, hemp.[41][45][46][47][48][49][50][51] According to other researchers there were other things than hemp more important for DuPont in the mid-1930s: to finish the product (nylon) before its German competitors, to start plants for nylon with much larger capacity, etc.

SciFiAuthor

Legalize it, and then there won't be a bad scene anymore. Just people buying a pack of joints at the convenience store like beer. Problem solved.

jazmunda

I really like this guest and his attitudes towards psychics.
