Art Bell

Whatever the new show is going to be, I think it's safe to say we can expect below the belt punches from NOory and his minions. I don't expect it to come soon, at least until it's unavoidable in their eyes.
What I find funny, is those of you monitoring the "old show's" facebook page and how the replies/comments were quite suspicious last night. People bailing on Noory this fast?
And he calls those folks family of "former show"?

We've often laughed about the fact that it took 22 Premier people to support Noory in doing what Art and Ramona did themselves.

Anagrammy

Now that is the truth right there. I've wondered how often they spoke of ^ and poked fun between themselves while Ramona was still here. So much in that statement.

Fly By Night

I put money on it that Art blasts C2C within his first week. Even if he didn't want to, some unscreened caller is going to bring it up. It will be weird though hearing his voice sans Midnight Express.

I am listening to Knapp on a past Coast to Coast with John Schuessler (sp).....and reading the posts.  You are all giving me HOPE that maybe, just maybe.....Art will return.  Could it be true?  I am reading everyone's thoughts and hoping that all of you are correct.  I really liked the premise presented by several Coasters that offered up the idea of Art doing Saturday night and having Knapp, Punnett, Wells and Simone filling in for the weeknight schedule.  OMG, could it get any better?  Oh, yes....only if Art would do EVERY night!   ;)

MikeJ

Art will mop the floor with Jorch!  I give C2C 2 months after Art starts his show.

Larkin

coast's ratings will dive if art's new show is in the same timeslot.

YOUR RIGHT, MY SCORPION ARMY COMMISSIONED OFFICERS:
The deal HAS been cooked for some time now, remember when I came back? That's just after the Cardinal City Klutz's goose was cooked! Confession to Art if your monitoring, "I prefer Baseball over Football", hope I still have my job as Propaganda Minister for the Scorpion Army after saying that! Sorry George, nothing personal, but what's Mike Siegal doing right now career-wise?
Gene Huff....is that you?

I've been thinking that C2C has been trying so desperately to hang on to Art's legacy that they have kept him in the minds of their audience this whole time.  Stuff like Somewhere in Time is pretty much free marketing for a new Art Bell show and I'd be surprised if they kept that going now that he could return.  It just always felt like they wanted to hang on to the glory days of C2C to help keep the audience hanging around.  How many years did they try to entice people to buy that "Perfect Possession" CD, anyway?  Always seemed like they couldn't let him go, and it may have worked to their disadvantage.  Just my 2 cents.

lonevoice

Why, no, MV.  No, he didn't.  That would just be...wrong.   :)

That is right. Pisses me off, but that is because I was a sucker and paid for that streamlink crap just to get my two art shows a week. Even though it hurts, I thank you for reminding me of this as it makes me stronger.

Itty Bit

The idea of a new Art Bell program is really nice to think about.  Hopefully it'll  come to pass quickly!

1) MV says so and he has huge reputation-at-stake if he made a mistake, plus he has the inside track of personal info.

Anagrammy

I don't think MV's reputation is at stake, personally, but it's at least nice to see the whole gang posting again.

True.  Stick around, everybody.
Now Fort Rock, that's a reputation you always have to watch out for.

Manchu8688

I can say I listen every night to replays of C2C on my iPhone. Who else has followers that Years later listen to shows on a regular basis that are 10+ years old. And who else's 10 year old show is still as relevant today as the day it first aired. I hope it is true. Art Bell is Loved. I miss the GIS and Dr Paglinni (Sp?). Mel's Hole and Bigfoot.

Insanity

I hope it has open lines, with no screeners.

Hello General  :)
Perhaps you could get your folks over at Peenman to start testing models of a pissjug? Space polymers and the best in carbon fiber materials for maximum capacity and strength per weight ratio. I had to reforge my chrome buttmold due to a band of roaving bikers, unfortunalely, I lost my thermal blankets in the raid. Send help  :-[

You know he won't want full time, so even if he already has a deal, he has to sell the idea to co-hosts and they might have non-compete agreements with Premier or ?  So he may just start out small and grow.

Art wouldn't have to say a thing about C2C.  Unscreened callers will say everything that we have all been saying until he stops them (which he will).  Ah, yes, then Nooryville will just be a nightmare we struggled to wake up from.

There is one final source I look to for verifying all things Noory and that is Airyn Bell's facebook page.  One of the fans has written on her wall thanking her for letting Art resume his career (we'll let that slide by....) and I am watching the page to see if she replies and what she says.  Anticipating your question--the reason I am sure about this source is there is a constant flow of new Bell family pictures.

Thanks for the kind words, nowhereintime!

You aren't the only one....I listen to an Art Bell stream on my Android phone every night when going to sleep!

I actually put the phone under my pillow, so I don't wake my wife!!...Haha

If the internet is down, I listen to old downloaded Ghost to Ghost shows....Never gets old!

I do not know if it is the ad revenue, or if you got a bump in pay... but it looks like you have been able to afford to feed yourself a little more as of late. ;)

Same here! Grateful for the many streams on shoutcast each night that I listen to--between my own library and the streams online, I've listened to art as I fell asleep every night now for almost 20 years.

I did a google search for Art Bell and clicked the 'news' tab.  It's interesting that NOTHING has been reported ANYWHERE except for Facebook and Coastgab and maybe some other fan sites that nobody goes to anymore.  You'd think that at least one blog or news outlet however fringe would report that Art is in negotiations for a possible radio comeback.  It isn't even mentioned yet on Art's Wiki page.  Is Premier doing what it can to keep this story hushed up?  Is that possible?  It's pretty big news.

Anyway, it's even more amazing that Art has thousands of fans that already know, and don't need a news outlet to tell them about it.  That is one really great thing about the internet is that it bypasses the media.  Mass direct information.  The downside to that of course is the mass dis- and mis-information that proliferates the internet.  But you have to take the bad with the good sometimes.
