Yep.
Thanks for posting that.

Quote"She really sounded awesome."
That sure sounds a lot like what Art has posted every day since she took over, doesn't it?
So, from day number one the audience rejected her... and he was quick to defend her.  Sound familiar?   Hmm.

There was a facebook post or something about how people don't like change and they would try again later. I will try and find it *if* it is still up.

I recall that one too.

That did happen and there was a giant backlash then. I remember it well.

I think this is the first time he brought it up. There are a couple of other posts of his in June that discuss it.

I understand, I think it was a set up but who knows, at the time I thought it was real. That's the beauty of live Radio, you never know for sure. It's also why I will be doing a lot of open lines if we have a big enough listener pool. I have no idea how many people will show up, what a hoot!

That's the one thing about what we are about to do, I have NO clue how it will go but the Studio is really awesome and it's gonna be fun. Maybe I will invite Redacted to co-host some night, she has a very clear voice, bet you guy's would get a kick out of that.

Ha!  Yes.  OK, assume he comes back to MITD.  Given his track record, how long will it be this time before "sumptheen happens" and he must be off again.  "Oh my God!  Art's quit again!  You BellGab bastards!"

Most didn't get a kick out of it.   :)

If you look back in this thread during the June timeframe, I believe Art posted about want to try her out as a cohost. I know that happened in at least one parallel universe. It might have been this one.
Ok then, perhaps he did create MITD for Heather. But WHY?????

PathoJen

Crystal Gayle sure as hell didn't write Midnight in the Desert for Heather. Hmph.

No.  I am sure he heard her on the GabCast. Here is a later post:

I really hope so, it will have to be at the very start, or I could delay Graham to hour two because I will have a lot to say in that first hour of the first show, we shall see.

Now for redacted, the only time it will work is during open lines or some kind of light hearted show. If I am doing a one on one Interview it just would not work so no need to fuss about it, just something to try and see how it works, new stuff is fun.
I am making this up as I go.

maybe Art can makeup something up about coming back 2-3 nights a week...

Uncle Duke

Did we ever hear anything else about the reward Art claimed to have offered?  Any information provided, even if it didn't lead to the arrest and conviction of the terrorist stalker?

I don't think MV set things up for WadeGab, either.  But, if it pays for the diapers, well...  All hail MV!

Last I read the offer was removed from FarceBook.  I have not verified this.

The local LEO aren't pursuing anything, last I saw, either.

Does anyone else suspect that redacted's "I'm just keeping the seat warm for Art" statements come from a position of wanting to preserve subscribers as opposed to legitimately communicating that she is just filling in on "Art's show"?

Who knows?  As nebulous as things have been the last month, anything is possible.  I've cancelled my subscription.  I wasn't subscribing to listen to Heather.  I get enough soap opera drama from BellGab.

I'm still in but I actually enjoy the show now too... I tend to be an optimist in most outward appearances as well.

I'm glad you are, Ziz.  To each his own.  I'm burned-out with Art.  Too many "I'm back! I'm gone!" exercises for me, no matter what the supposed reasons are.  As Gravity says with his Phil Youtubes, "I just don't care any more."  I actually enjoy MV's broadcasts much more than the current MITD.  And your photoshops are still the best, Ziz!

why thankyou... I try to keep my positive opinions to myself here.  These boiling pits of sewage have become extremely... "sewage-ie" as of late... but whatever.  People were on this site fighting over subjective ideas before I arrived and they will be here fighting over them when I am long gone as well...

I'm curious what shows he's got on those MDs though...

I was thinking the exact same thing. There could quite possibly be some radio gold that we haven't heard since it aired on there.

I'd love to find all the complete Malachi Martin shows without all the cuts and late starts.

Yes, it's become a nice steaming pit of sewage recently but it'll transform into something else.  Hail, MV!

Go to 22:03...I think this sums up Art...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx3tOVeHC_s

Switch to a Larry Sanders meets WKRP format where the show itself is secondary to the behind the scenes histrionics. Start with a core cast of Art as head lolcow and the woman with no name and misanthropic Roland as co-lolcows. Throw in a few recurring characters like Falkie, mice and stalkers. Every episode ends with Art quitting. Record the whole thing, pitch it to HBO and watch the Golden Globes pile up
