Was this the episode?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Erlenmeyer_Flask

Oh my gorsh...yes...that was it. Didn't know it was on Wiki. The doctor's office where Muldar makes the phone call from is my front room of my house (I don't live there anymore..it was a rental thing in Kits). That scene is where he is on the phone and that is the scene where you can hear Gable's cat bell. I was sitting outside the room on the hallway stairs and my cat ran up the stairs to see me. So many people were crammed in that hallway....and all trying to be soooooo quiet. Not Gable, though. lol.

The scene where he breaks in the window of the house takes place in my back yard. And they had to film that a few times. And every time they had a guy come and clean the window so there were be no finger prints as Muldar was breaking in.

Oh and on the scene where Muldar goes up the stairs with his gun drawn and looks up at the hatch in the ceiling....he kept missing the top step because he had to be looking up. Finally he said....'just bag it'. And word went out...you could hear it...'bag it', 'bag it', 'we need a bag' going all down the line. And then this little guy came running up with a small bean bag and put it on the top step so Muldar would know where to stop his foot. And the scene went fine.

Hey...that's my house!!!! See the flowers...they planted them all. It was actually way too cold for flowers, but they put them in. and they painted the front porch of the house that colour. That looks like when he was walking up to look at my mail.

If I remember correctly, that was also when the guy in the white van with the big microphone dish was pulling up out front....or maybe that was when he was in the doctors office (my front room) later at night. Can't remember.

Doesn't David look slimy? He totally is....at least that was my impression.

Can't believe you found a picture of my house....geez....a bit scary, but geez.

Art

Please consider Serenity's lead in for your show, it's good!

Serenity.....strong work.....Mountain Dew and Cheetos will arrive at your door soon.
That is good.  I can hear Art saying it as I read it.

Whatever Art uses for an intro, it will be perfect.  By definition.

TODAY IS TIME FOR MY ANNUAL NITECAPS MEMORIAL POSTING:
TIME TO REMEMBER THE WORK OF HERB JEPKO, AND NIGHTCAPS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW HERB JEPKO LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE IN MY LATE TEEN YEARS. I WILL NOT GO INTO IT HERE, BUT I PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE ALIVE TODAY WITHOUT HERB! ART BELL WAS THE ONLY MAJOR BROADCASTER WHO MENTIONED HERB JEPKO'S PASSING ON THE AIR, AND THE ROLE THE SHOW PLAYED IN HIS LIFE. IN "LAST NITESTAND" SECTION OF WWW.NITECAPS.NET, ART SPEAKS OF HERB'S WORK:

"12 August 2003, Rachel, Nevada

When I was a teen I Hitchhiked across America a few times and did so with a Transistor (7) radio. Herb kept me company.

He also gave me the dedicated phone line idea.

I heard MANY hours and thought at the time this will be a really big format in America some day.

At the time it may not have been my cup of tea (talking to older folks), but it sure was fun listening.

Art Bell

(Thanks Art.

Art Bell was one of the few broadcasters, perhaps the only broadcaster, to pay tribute to Herb on air the night after Herb passed away. -- Joe)"

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HEAR A NITECAPS TRIBUTE SHOW ON THE NEW "MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT" WITH ART BELL!

HERE AGAIN IS THE ANNUAL RECITATION OF THE NITECAP CREED:

"I am a Nitecap:

I believe in the Nitecap movement as a great vehicle to make the sentiment of the "brotherhood of man" among all nations, creeds and races a fact . . . not merely a saying.

I believe it is my obligation as a Nitecap not to carp and criticize, and to support and encourage my fellow Nitecaps to this end.

I hereby pledge myself to the building and support of the Nitecaps International Association (NIA), its founder, Herb Jepko, this Nitestand and every sincere Nitecap.

I will seek and exalt the good I find in all persons and seek to overlook their errors and weaknesses, just as I trust others will accept me with my strengths and weaknesses.

I will do all in my power to help build the Nitecap organization and to carry out all its projects designed to lend friendship, comfort and pleasure to all persons, particularly the ill, aged and unfortunate."

BLESS YOU ALL, AND BLESS YOU HERB JEPKO!

Who cares about parenthesis?  Art, I'd just like to say:

I like 'em but I must point out that the parentheses work well on a page or monitor, but as a radio name it seems a bit of a mouthful: "...so will you take the next caller, please, Open Parenthesis Redacted Close Parenthesis ?"

Maybe Art could just whisper her name in lieu of on air parenthesis  :D.

I think those big get togethers are fine if you like them. I do not think I ever went to one in all the Years I was on air. Just a matter of what you like.

We are indeed starting to get requests from Radio stations now. I guess it is fine but they have to take the show as is. We will limit commercials to a max of six minutes per Hour. We really designed this for live streaming not Broadcast but what the heck.

I am back working on the Studio Tomorrow, it's like a work of Art (no pun intended) that never gets done.

Art

The parentheses would be on printed material, like the show recap on the Dark Matter website.

The same way Art wouldn't introduce himself on the show as "capital A Art, capital B Bell"

I think it was the sort of joke that only engineers and philosophers might like. I thought about making it earlier but decided to abstain.

I get not everyone can handle bellgab and once art show gets going if the folks who don't want to hang out here prefer to go the kiddie pool over there, more power to them.
Folks just got to cowboy up when they come here.  Reach down and touch their manparts and realize that they are men and should be able to handle a little rough and tumble word play.

No manparts?  Hell, I'll let you touch mine, just so you know what I am talking about.  And it won't cost you nothin' neither!

Ah, it's neither here nor there.  What matters is Art is returning and it's going to be more fun than you can shake a dowsing rod at.

Art's outstanding character is represented by the fact that he is including his long devoted (and qualified) fans in his new show as a co-host! I can't wait till July!

RoseGirl, what an experience!  Thanks for sharing it with us ... I thoroughly enjoyed reading all this ...

although, I'm sad to learn that Duchovny was such a pompous slimy my-shit-don't-stink guy.  Frig, I always liked Fox Mulder ...
one last question -- What type of person was Chris Carter?

He seemed very private and soft-spoken to me. He stayed mostly to himself and was almost constantly looking for a quiet place to write on his lap-top. When they filmed the scene in the back yard where Muldar breaks into the house through the window, Chris Carter was in the back yard writing and it looked like he was really concentrating. And then this little production assistant person came up and said 'Chris, you're hot'. And he looked up and blushed completely red.

Then she said '...um...you're hot....you are in the angle of the camera shot'. And he said 'oh...okay' and smiled and then moved so the camera wouldn't see him writing in the background as the filming went on.

Other than that, he rarely spoke and seemed very off-to-himself. Nice guy, though...you could just tell by his face and expressions.
