yes, thanks for sharing...I think it is fortuitous that Art and the big X are coming back the same summer! Planets of the wierd are in alignment!

True that, Chefist....the stars must be aligned just so. I shall have to check my ephemeris and see if any other fantastic resurrections are also in the works.

Art and X-files....tis an act of god, I think.

I recently went on an x-files binge. That show was great.
Ha!  Coaster, you and your Noory avatars. :))  Is that a pre or a post toooomeric snort nasal purge for Dave?

He seemed very private and soft-spoken to me. He stayed mostly to himself and was almost constantly looking for a quiet place to write on his lap-top. When they filmed the scene in the back yard where Muldar breaks into the house through the window, Chris Carter was in the back yard writing and it looked like he was really concentrating. And then this little production assistant person came up and said 'Chris, you're hot'. And he looked up and blushed completely red.

Then she said '...um...you're hot....you are in the angle of the camera shot'. And he said 'oh...okay' and smiled and then moved so the camera wouldn't see him writing in the background as the filming went on.

Other than that, he rarely spoke and seemed very off-to-himself. Nice guy, though...you could just tell by his face and expressions.

This is a great capsule scene re: Chris Carter. Also, Duchovny. Too bad. If I ever get the chance, I'm going to go all Princeton on his sorry self and see if there is any Mulder in him.

Maybe JC will smite Dave next.

Jackson miss. Is a decent sized city glad to see art pick up an affiliate there.

Per art on Facebook. Apparently more radio stations are interested!

That's three so far.

The parentheses would be on printed material, like the show recap on the Dark Matter website.

The same way Art wouldn't introduce himself on the show as "capital A Art, capital B Bell"

Stop giving Dave all our trade secrets.

I think MITD has the potential to be on smaller stations in almost every market around the country! Late night ads are cheap and I think Art's show will fit into smaller station's business structure...also, it may get a shiek niche kinda vibe kickin!

Three radio stations to compete head-to-head with C2C is a good start.  This is just the beginning, as once the ratings numbers come in more will follow. 8)

That would fit the AB pirate-vibe nicely.

ART: I get the feeling there were DaveBots feeding info back to Premiere when you were on Sirius...it, like many, is a small inbred industry...glad you are keeping it independent and tight! Can't wait sir!

No Mulder in him what-so-ever. Just isn't there. Poor thing...I understand he does a lot of B grade movies now.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine met him at a tennis club on the Upper East Side a few months ago and said he was nice enough.

Smaller stations seem to have trouble figuring out what to program at night.  God I hope we get one in Seattle!

Dateline

You can tell the colors of a person by the way they do business.   When Norry had publicity for his Giam, his PR person was tweeting how much of a loser that Art Bell was.

Now, internet chatter has it that Norry has hired the same PR for his new television venture.  Really, who is the loser in this situation?

Exactly...if they get wind of what's "baller"...then they might just throw it on to find out how it works!

As soon as Art said he was keeping his cards close to his chest yesterday it dawned on me to check if anyone had been doing any snooping. The leaves and turmeric fingerprints were a dead give away. Everyone should be ready for some strangeness from him, or his army of rancid fake mustached koalas... and thedavebots too since May is coming to a close.

Agreed! they are out there and will do anything to get Art's plans...trust no one!

Can you supply any links to these wild accusations? I'm not saying it's bullshit but it certainly smells like it. Don't get me wrong I want it to be true and it seems like something that Dave would do but you can't just put something like this out there without some proof. This might be BellGab but there are still journalistic standards to adhere to.

I met David Duchovny when I was living in Victoria on Van Island and he was very cordial and polite. We spoke for about 15 minutes while he was waiting for dry cleaning. It was very random.

Bots everywhere...

I think that it's very cool that radio stations are picking up Art. I'm in the UK so that doesn't relate to me but it's great that the show is getting some traction. It can only help in bringing in a wider audience and creating more streams to listen to.

Does a wider audience from more stations create more issues in regards to music licensing? Or do the new stations themselves cover that?

twiki

I always liked David Dukovny. We share the same affliction.
