What is Fort Rock's views on the rebooted ArtBell.com web site?

That it has something to do with that radio show he has been promoting.

Between tomorrow and 30 years, that is my guess.

Also, my guess is, Art will primarily use the site to flog his secret pizza sauce, oh yeah, pizza punch, and all the other stuff he sold over the years.

200 years, that is my guess.
18 days at midnight eastern standard time. Says me, the all mighty PBS! Just kidding, I have no clue. I am guessing much like last time when I got all excited and then let down, that nothing will happen. I think someone is messing with all of you. Btw, I do believe it was Popple who made me lol regarding asking the exclamation point about future job prospects :) I ask the all mighty exclamation point to turn purple. That is my wish, so mote it be :)

Oh No, a C.T.D. I guess someone was not practicing safe surfing on their computer or was it the NSA.

News Alert:

There are now reasonable suspicions that the ! on the ArtBell.com website has assassinated the ? which previously resided there, according to people close to the story.  More on this as it becomes available.

I would say so. Just because they are "SPACE" Aliens, does not gives them the right to enter the US of A. They need passports and the like. If we start letting space aliens enter the country without the proper paperwork, then everyone else would enter the US of A without the right paperwork and Claims to be "Space" Aliens. :D

Scully

I do know what it's like. I have experienced it.  Let that sink in a moment and then move on to the next part.

Here are the "issues" I have about such a discussion. This discussion is about the death of a specific person's spouse and how he reacted to that death.  Do you understand that, Scully?  A real person.  People are speculating about that very real person's loss and how he handled it.  And that, Scully, is inappropriate.

I do not know your real name, Scully. For the purposes of our discussion, let's say your real name is "Sally Smith."  And let's say, for the purposes of our discussion, that you lost your husband of 25 years, "Bob Smith."

Do you think it would be appropriate for people to discuss, in a public forum, the death of Bob Smith?  To speculate about the circumstances and possible causes of Bob's death?  Do you think it would be appropriate for people to discuss your reaction to Bob's death?  Did Sally Smith remarry too soon after Bob's death?  Was Bob really Sally's soul-mate?

I think most people would answer with a resounding no.  The loss of a loved one is one of the most painful episodes a person will ever experience in their lifetime.  Everyone reacts differently.

How a person, any person, reacts to the death of a loved one is not for us to judge.  And it is certainly not for total strangers, or anyone else,  to discuss in a public forum.

Now if you think I need "professional" help because I hold this opinion, then it is obvious that you and I inhabit two very different realities.

Sorry to digress, but I'm just getting back to this hopefully obsolete discussion.  Since this was addressed to me, I do feel the need to respond.

I'm sorry for your loss, Abby.  I have also been through the death of a beloved spouse, as well as the suicide of a son.  You needn't worry that I don't have feelings on tragic losses.

To make it brief, what I was responding to when I suggested you might want to seek professional help was what seems to me to be your extreme overreaction on this forum to the rumination on a public person's personal life.  I don't see that as anything unusual at all.  If that makes me a cold bitch in your book, then you are judging me as I have judged you to be overly vituperative in some of the things you have said in this thread, about matters which are not even personal to you.

Perhaps we do just inhabit two different realities.  Happens all the time.

Interesting as to what the new project might be.  Art Bell related?  We shall see.

That makes sense. I imagine that Art's website will be some type of blog where he can make comment on current events. I wonder whether there will be any paranormal content. I don't foresee any podcasting but rather a straight out blog.

Doomed

Could it be a portal?

My condolences to you on your losses.  I am truly sorry those events took place in your family.  I believe we sometimes over-react a bit in public forums because we forget there are real people behind the user IDs and avatars.  We frequently type things in forums we would not say in a face to face discussion.  I continue to feel that the subject broached by UnBelieber was wildly inappropriate and potentially libelous.  I will leave it at that and wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous week.

that sudden change in the tread is pretty much a definition of trolling...

how about we just ignore that topic and stop breathing life into it by continuing to comment on it?

sooo moving on?

OK, I have a theory!  Is it 100% proven at this point that PremRat brought down the Fine Art Stream?  Could it actually have been Art instead?  If so, then perhaps the new website will host his old shows.  Maybe part of his contract when he left was that he would own his content at a certain point.  If you notice, for Coast Insiders, the show archive only goes back three years.  We're almost three years from his last show.  Also, Art has been asking them to stop replaying his old shows via Somewhere in Time.  Could it be that he's trying to get all of his content consolidated on his own terms?  Maybe he bought back the rights to his old shows.

To many people's points, there isn't currently a legal way to obtain the back catalogue of Coast.  I am hoping that this gap will be closed upon the launch of the new Art Bell website.  I would gladly throw down a few bucks to get a hold of those shows in a good format.  It's a crazy theory, but if you pull a Hoagland and follow the data, you can get there.  That also probably means that this is just a likely to be true as Richard's insistance that the events of John Carter really happened.

Ok, that's all for now!

P.S. - MV - I love the addition to the top right corner of the site.  You should have it hyperlink to Art's :-)  I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, so can I have the honor of turning it blue for being the first?

stenjay, i would be fibbing if i said parts of your comment didn't cross my mind too  ;D

I don't believe that will be the case but we can hope.

I believe that linden confirmed that the request was not from Art. Perhaps on the fineart facebook page.

I can't see that happening unless the request came from PremRad (as the legal owners of the content) and Art has come to some profit share agreement to become the vendor of the content. But that is a lot of variables to occur between parties that don't get along.

Actually that upper right corner is kind of a place of acknowledgement for posters that post something different. There have been several different quotes there. It changes often.
