She called last week on open lines.  She waited over an hour to warn George to be careful, clothes being imported from China are being mislabeled, sizes are wrong.

This is why c2c is my go-to source for news.

Morgus

Haha, at the end of the show last night Noory got so absent minded he forgot to play his UFO Phil song - even though he mentioned it was coming on earlier in the show... :D

The other night he just quit and went to a replay of his Morgus in-house appearance from several years ago. Last night during open-lines some guy had an elaborate (I think sort of a Katherine Albrecht, no relation, on Meth) about the evils of the internet and that you need to register your house as a website or someone will steal it and they could get a 'look alike' version of your neighbor's wife and you who would do shocking things that could appear on the internet as you (or something.) And also have orgies in front of a cross in a Catholic Church and identify you as a voter (and record your confession in Church) because it was not registered on the internet and geo-tracking on your phone. I think he was concerned about identity theft, election fraud, blackmail, GPS and Blue-tooth, locating yourself, snooping, etc available with modern technology, all legitimate concerns, but his way of putting it, the scenarios, were pretty funny and alarmist.

I woke up way early that morning and caught that piece, just before the morning news.  I was wondering who the weirdo with a speech impediment was that was talking with Jorch.  It took me a few minutes too realize it was Jorch's hero, Morgus.  Talk about two bozos.

Regardless of the veracity of the claims I've noticed that the only time Norry seems really interested is when a caller or host has a story involving some kind of accident, suicide, animal abuse, illness, or death etc then he quickly perks up and often interrupts to ask more details about the gruesome aspect of the event- even though the caller/guest is wanting to focus on some positive aspect (rescued by an angel, saw Heaven, dog saved him, medical miracle, etc) Norry always tried to delve deeper into the gruesome details. And then feigns shock and disgust or sadness after he pulls more details from the caller/guest.  I think maybe this is the real reason why he gushes over LMH- she was the first to detail animal mutilations  and cored rectums.

And then makes a sound I can't even render in letters but is possibly the most off-putting sound on radio.  "OOGH!"? Sounds like peritonitis or something.

I wish had the skills to cut the clip and post but don't know how to do on this laptop. It was hilarious and I agree there might have been substances involved. I also think, maybe, he had some inappropriate "shocking" relationship with his neighbor and was coming up with some bizarre conspiracy theories that it wasn't him and he never confessed it in church.

Holy crap. I hope some poor houseplant doesn't have the misfortune of making its way into his home. He'd probably have a pad full of dead plants that he talks to and waters everyday not knowing that he effing killed off every one of them. Snoory's own little botanical Adams Family.

136 or 142

George Noory asked John Hogue about (The Amazing) James Randi asking "where were the psychics on September 10, 2001?"

Hogue's answer was truly incredible.  He rambled for literally 15 minutes but, if you listened through his blizzard of speech, he ultimately admitted that there was nothing in Nostradamus' writings that he found before September 11 2001 where Nostradamus said 'airplanes will crash into The World Trade Center on September 11 2001."

So, Hogue said a few nasty things about James Randi in his very long reply, but ultimately, in a very round about way, admitted Randi was totally correct.

The funny thing though is Noory's next question led Hogue to comment on Penn and Teller's program that they did about Hogue and other so-called psychics and Hogue complained that Penn and Teller chopped up his reply on the program that aired.

I haven't seen the program and I obviously don't know what he said to them, but if he gave a similar reply as he gave to Noory, what else could the producers of Penn and Tellers' program do?

136 or 142

Hogue said that, unlike the present U.S government's response to Russia that is the cause of the new cold war, Truman had a 'live and let live' attitude with the Soviet Union.

This was Truman's live and let live attitude:
1.The Marshall plan that helped rebuild Western Europe (and was also offered to all the Eastern European nations newly under Soviet domination, the communist but independent Yugoslavia under Marshall Tito accepted the aid.)

2.The formation of NATO and the keeping of American troops in Western Europe instead of going ahead with the initially planned demobilizing.

3.Continued nuclear weapons testing from 1946-1949 when the Soviet Union successfully tested its own nuclear weapon.  The United States did offer to turn over its nuclear technology to the United Nations but this was rejected.

4.The joining together of the British, French and American sections of Germany into the nation of West Germany, which both the British and the French were initially very leery about.

5.The Berlin Airlift to overcome the Soviet blockade of West Berlin that Stalin did in part (far from the only reason though) to protest the combining of the British, French and American zones in Germany.

6.The sending of United Nations (dominated by American) backed troops to South Korea to force back the North Korean invasion of South Korea.   Although it was the Chinese military that fought the United Nations military after the United Nations under General MacArthur  invaded North Korea, at this time the Chinese and the Soviet Union were allies and the Soviet Union was assisting the North Koreans with weapons and probably with money.

7.United States assistance through weapons and money to Greece and Turkey to defeat the communist revolutionaries in those countries.

While it is true (as far as I know) that the United States did not attempt to directly overthrow Stalin or to undermine the Russian Communist Government, Hogue's claim is that the United States backing of the Ukrainian government against Russian aggression precipitated this 'new cold war' but that Truman had a 'live and let live policy.'  I'd say that clearly the present U.S Government's assistance of Ukraine is completely consistent with Truman's response to Stalin and the Soviet Union.

136 or 142

One final point.  Hogue also commented that 'invasions of Russia tend not to end well for those who invaded.'  I don't know why Hogue mentioned this as I think it's only in Hogue's fevered imagination that anybody is planning to invade Russia, but I'd say that his understanding of Russian and Soviet History over the last 100 years or so is as bad as his understanding of Truman's cold war policies towards the Soviet Union and Stalin.

Of course Hogue is correct that the German Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II ended up as a disaster for Hitler thanks to the heroic efforts of the Soviet military.  However, and not to take anything away from the Soviets, had Germany started its invasion of the Soviet Union about one month earlier, as Hitler initially planned, the invasion might have turned out very differently.  For those who don't remember, Hitler was forced to divert his attention from the planned attack on the Soviet Union to assisting Mussolini after Italy's invasion of Greece went awry.  This delayed the invasion of the Soviet Union for about one month.

Prior to the German invasion of the Soviet Union but after the start of World War II, the Soviets also had a successful war against Finland.

However, Russia and the Soviet Union's other military campaigns went badly for them:
1.The Japanese-Russian war in 1905 ended with the Russian army being routed.

2.The German invasion of Russia in World War I ended with the Russian government eventually being overthrown by the Communists under Lenin.  Lenin's initial and rather odd policy of 'non confrontation' with the German invaders ultimately led to a peace agreement that resulted in very unfavorable terms for Russia. Of course, this agreement was ultimately negated as Germany shortly after surrendered on the Western Front.  Fortunately the transportation systems at the time did not allow many German troops to get to the Western Front to provide re-enforcement.

3.The seemingly mostly forgotten war shortly after the end of World War I between Poland and the Soviet Union that ended with the Soviet Armies being routed and  the Soviet Union conceding territory to Poland.  This territory the Soviet's took back as part of the German-Soviet agreement that led to their mutual invasion of Poland that precipitated World War II.

4.The Soviet defense of their allied government in Afghanistan that led to the eventual withdrawal of Soviet forces and almost certainly played a role in the collapse of the Soviet Communist government.

Of course, during the Cold War the Soviets did assist several communist revolutionaries to come to power.  For instance, after Stalin initially backed the Nationalists in China, he shortly after switched sides and successfully assisted Mao.  Soviet led or backed invasions of Hungary and Czechoslovakia also prevented leaders who wanted to withdraw from the Warsaw Pact from remaining in power.

Probably the most high profile was the, at different times, Soviet and Chinese supported North Vietnamese invasion of South Vietnam that resulted in the uniting of Vietnam under communist rule.

However, Hogue only mentioned direct attacks on Russia or the Soviet Union so I don't think any of those things should be counted as examples of 'invasions of Russia that did not turn out well for the invaders.'

Of course, if you go back further in history, other invasions of Russia did, in fact, not go well for the invaders, but given advancements in military technology, I think  it's a stretch to argue these earlier invasions have much relevance to today.

You know it's probably not a good idea to get too worked up over political/world historical analysis and insight heard on a night time talk show specializing in stories about Bigfoot and alien abductions from a phoney mystic guest who relies a great deal on the ramblings of a guy who died several centuries ago.

I bet Jorch shits his old, white guy, St. Louis cracker self when Hogue "predicts" that Hillary will probably still win and that should Trump win, he'll be impeached in his first term.  I could give a rat's ass about Jorch's politics, except when he keeps saying the show is "neutral."

I was bored last night, so I remote viewed what was inside Norry's head as he reported on Hillary's various ailments.

How did I do this?  First I connected remotely with the white dialogue box that was above Norry's dreadlocked wig.  Inside that dialoge box this is what I remotely viewed.  First the DNC has a hush-hush emergency meeting.  DNC stands for Dumb Nutty Collective.  They are in session as to who they can replace Hillary with at this fourteenth hour and everyone that is dumb and nutty will be familiar with.

The name is mention of "The Real George Norry".  His audience is dumb and nutty.  Everyone agrees that Norry will be their man.  He gets the call to run on the Dumb and Nutty party.  In his mind, he stands in front of podiums and argues for the flat tax, legalizing medial marijuana and pardoning Falkie for all of his twishes of misdirected passion.  He sees himself being moderated by Howard Bloom against Trump.  That is where I lost it.  The white dialogue box closed up.  I will try again some other night when I have a lonely minute.

'Dr' John M. Curtis has a PhD and is not a medical doctor.  His doctorate may be in psychology but referring to him as a 'doctor' in this context where he offered a medical opinion was grossly dishonest and highly unethical.

Dr Gary Ridenour is a genuine medical doctor but it's pretty clear he has succumbed to the disease of believing in ridiculous conspiracy theories.

Just listened to Dave Schrader's 9/11 show with Mark Anthony, I think the caller you referenced here called in the last half hour of the show.  He started out relatively calmly, but quickly worked himself into a lather ranting about evil corporations, having no Constitutional rights on the internet, and something about YouTube taking money away from Alex Jones.  Anthony seemed somewhat perplexed.

I think there is a good possibility this guy is either a shill caller or (more likely) making the calls as a joke.  Still, he's moving up my list of favorite callers, joining Bill, Annie, the anti-Monsanto intention experiment guy, and the student

Wasn't throwing rocks at you, I'm a history guy myself and have taken some guests to task here for taking liberties with the past to further their own agendas.  What bothers me about guests like Hogue, Dames, Keating, and even Malichi Martin is/was their tendency to predict something while claiming some special ability, then in the next breath give themselves an out in the event they are wrong.  Later, when questioned about the prediction they take credit for being right either way.

I liken this to me placing a bet with a bookie, saying something like, "I'll take Nebraska and lay the ten points against Maryland......but if Maryland can shut down the Husker ground game, I like the Terps' chances"; then expecting to be paid if Maryland wins while holding Neb to 132 yards rushing.
