Yeah, it's been awhile so no doubt he's back-up in the cycle.  Oh, joy, more doom and gloom from the creep Dames.  I'd rather hear Hoagland pontificating about his latest hallucinations.  Isn't Dames now living in Hawaii?  Speaking of, I've lost track.  What's become of Noory's Hawaiian studio?  I haven't hear him crowing about it for awhile.  Maybe I just missed it.

Last I heard was 4-5 years ago and what he was hinting around at made it sound like he was with "(his) wife's family" somewhere like the Ukraine or maybe Georgia. But perhaps he's had more to say since then. It's a fluke I heard what I did since I don't care about Major Fraud Dames and really am kind of happy that he's sort of gone underground.

Another Episode of:

Word of the Day

Ah, Mr Dean. Friday (and life) is complete. You surpass yourself.

A word to the wise: do not attempt to drink whisky and listen to WOTD at the same time.....

ziznak

I love the WOTD lead-outs... this is up there with "jorch and tommy" comics.

thanks!!
I'm assuming whiskey being forced up into your nose during a laugh reflex is painful, but its not a total loss. Once it hits that blood-brain barrier it should soak in and do its job much quicker.

So . . . I posted awhile ago about Snoorey's annoyingly presumptive use of nicknames. I admit it is minor on the general list of complaints.  I thought that I hadn't heard it for awhile and then tonight a call came in from a "James".  This would have easily turned into a Jimmy back in the nickname period.  Snoorey welcomed him using "James", used "James"  in conversation and then even randomly muttered the name "James" several times as if to overwrite his previous habit.

Kinda endearing to think he gets pointers about how to improve his act from this board.

Now if he can just quit saying "You never know" and other throw away comments during his interviews when he clearly has nothing to add.

ManiacMatt

I decided to tune in for a few minutes tonight.  Noory repeatedly responds to the guest, "haw, haw, haw I love it."

A caller says he's from some small town in IL and Noory says, "I know it well."
Caller:  You do?
Noory:  Hesitates, obviously doesn't know it well and says, "I used to go to IL all the time!"  As if that's some kind of big deal.  He didn't say he went to that town.  No, he went to that state.  He is such a liar.  Always trying to kiss up to people and act like he's been everywhere and knows everything.

I bet you could call in and give a fake name of a town and Noory would say something about knowing it well or being there at some time.  Then ask him if he has seen some phony movie and he'll say it was a classic.

George Noory still sucks.  Radio off.

That must have been a rare case because Noory is still changing caller names a lot during open lines.
If the caller gave a shorter name like Jim, Noory would call him James and vice-versa.
Noory also annoying still says "I love it" as a response to a guest or caller too much.

Morgus

Noory just did it again right now with an open lines caller who said his name was Doug, so Noory of course calls him 'Douglas' instead... :o
I bet if someone called in as 'Ernie" that Noory would call him 'Ernest'

Doomed

I caught a few minutes of noory on my way in to town.
He has a new spasm I hadnt noticed before. If he gets excited about something, in his haste to spit it out, he makes a rapid series of grunting noises.
"Uh uh uh I dont believe in coinkidinks you know. Uh uh uh I believe these things are destined to happen."
Sort of reminds me of the old Car 54 show. Joey Ross made that "Ohh ohh ohh" noise. The difference, of course, was I took Ross seriously...

ShayP

Noory just stated that his oldest daughter woke him up with a text. (pronounced 'tex')
She sad "Dad, I'm confused. I just don't know who to vote for!"
Really George? That is the text that woke you up. Bullshit!

I've always thought Noory did that (including addressing recent guest Dr. Kenneth Hanson as 'Kenny' all night) because Dennis Miller does the same thing with callers, and Simple George would give his left nut (if any) to be seen as half as hip as Miller.

President Obama has the same nervous habit.

I love Major Ed Dames.  After one of his shows, I know what I can quit worrying about.

Last night, a caller made the point that Jesus can open the pineal gland.  sNoory, sounding annoyed, pointed out that so will melatonin. Interesting.

That sounds like an episode of South Park: "Jesus vs. The Pineal Gland!".

Ian used to do that ("eh, eh, eh, uh, uh, uh...") - it almost sounded like he was doing it intentionally to fill time while he was thinking so no one else could start talking.  Pretty sure that's not why George is doing it.

Miller has done that going back to his syndicated late night talk show in '92, "I loved you in that flick  with Jimmy Caan, babe" It's pretty funny, but some of the more "serious" celebs seemed offended by his informalities.

I thought the Kill Shot (trademark?) was only foretold by RVer Major Ed Dames?
By the way, I see Major Dames is scheduled for appearing again on c2c next week...

Maybe Major Ed McBullshit Dames thinks enough time has passed that folks forget he was supposed to remote view the location of the elderly gent who went missing in Nevada, and whose story was told on Knapp's show. Well, not by a freakin' longshot. Bet he doesn't mention it, and if he does, it'll be backpeddling twaddle all the way while Noory offers "Sumpin happened tuh him, tha's fuh ssshure. So, Ed wha do yuh see for 2012?"

margoloo

George N is god awful.  Why is he constantly forcing guests to proclaim their belief in his god?  Why does he have on "experts" and then when a caller asks the "expert" a question......George answers?  Is there nothing this mad man does not know?  The man is slipping into dementia, and his delusions or grandeur are getting out of hand. I just flat out cannot abide the man.  I know, then why listen?   :P  Another person that bugs me.....Katherine Albrecht.  They have her on as a privacy expert.  What she is really, is a wing nut fundamentalist Christian.  Her whole agenda is not privacy issues, but refusing the mark of the beast.  That is her only goal.  George let her spew on about Jesus Christ is our salvation.....blah blah blah.  Jesus H Christ.  I am so tired of the fundamentalist Christian agenda.

ziznak

The recent Albrecht visit was entertaining though.  I can totally see some soccer mom at a water park box office explaining why they can't affix the entrance bracelet onto her children.  six flags huh??? more like 666 flags... makes ya think!!!

No, it'll be "refashioned" into a "hit"...because listeners are so stupid, don't you know. "Wow, Ed you said that there was a man human being missing existing in Nevada the United States...and there was. Wow! That just gives me goosebumps. You're still 100%!"

Beautifully said. *wipes tear from eye* Think of George's regular guests who fit this same profile you've described.  It's not a coincidence (thumbs up, George?). What I dread is the dissemination and absorption of aggrandized ignorance on a (inter)national scale, but there are those who would argue it's one's right to be blissfully ignorant and to enjoy freedom from facts. What a country we've made for ourselves.

OK, a spontaneous bit for coastgab.

This is an audio feed (my interpretation, that is) from the coast on-air mixing console. What it might sound like when the producer talks to GN through his headphones during a show.

You beat me to the punch on this. I have in the past emailed the show both constructively and derisively to ask why it keeps coming on like an evangelical Christian station. No reply, of course.

The chipping school kids debate should be an interesting one, but not when hi-jacked by Albrecht. Her religious agenda only makes me immediately doubt the veracity of all the evidence she's offering. My assumption immediately is that she's making the facts fit the ideology. She was not only allowed to run her ludicrous mark of the beast spiel unchecked, unqueried and unchallenged by Noory, she waffled on about how amazing it was that John, a ragged, half-starved man on the rocky crag of Patmos, knowing nothing of modern technology could have foreseen these events, as though it's commonly accepted that Revelation is a reliable document and that it is verifiable fact that that his extraordinary ramblings are accepted as actually predicting anything. She moved on to crap about only those accepting Jesus Christ being saved, using all the language of a televangelist. Noory joined in with his Sunday School theology, expressing a hope that 'they' would find Noah's Ark because then, Mommy, everyone would have to believe the bible, wouldn't they?

It broke out again on Thursday during the Sitchin ass-kissing fest with Klarfeld. Leaving aside the guest being allowed to make a whole slew of claims supported by not one scrap of evidence, Klarfeld quite seriously said he wanted to see the Annunaki story taught in schools as a co-equal alongside Intelligent Design and evolution. Jaw-droppingly mad. Noory only responded with a fatuous enquiry as to whether Klarfeld thought Genesis was 'true'. Klarfeld of course replied with a vague affirmative and that was that.

Pathetic and laughable. In addition to sucking, George Noory has the intellectual capacity of a salted peanut. With apologies to salted peanuts everywhere

Noory appears to have another first hour infomercial guest tonight, some kind of motivational speaker with a get rich scheme?  :o

George just said he likes to have guests on that challenge him so that he doesn't surround himself with "YES!" men, because that's the only way he learns.  ::) Dramatic and so not true.

I think he's picking up people on the street, literally, to appear as guests. Or perhaps they are door-to-door salespeople. If he has on someone selling Kirby vacuum cleaners, Girl Scouts touting cookies or, worse, Jehova's Witnesses, my theory will be proven.
