Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

Yeah.  I got so sick of Bloom making a fool of himself that I emailed George to ask him to tell Howard the correct pronunciation.  Almost everyone knows how to pronounce that name.  It reminds me of Heather not knowing how to pronounce Scalia.  How do these folks get into the business?  Certainly, not because they are really plugged in to what they are doing.

Couple of nights ago Our Host pronounced the famous play, Blithe Spirit, "blith". It never ends. Maybe I'm just being a picky hater.

George Noory could be a blob of pond scum ....
But, you know what?
He's a thousand times better than Art Bell ....
George can hold down a job, has an audience, and sponsors.
George has resolve .....
George has an income from broadcasting.

Art?
Unemployed, unemployable ...
Never ending drama.
Brilliant?  Not anymore ....
Interesting? ....... meh

A thousand times better? Seriously?
Art had/has his faults, as we all do, but nobody at George's level in broadcasting can hold a candle to him when it comes to:

Murdering language and pronunciation
Reading copy badly
Interrupting at inappropriate moments
Kissing guest ass
Lack of knowledge of subjects he claims to be into
Asking stock questions
Failing to ask obvious important ones

I could go on but I don't want to seem like a mere hater.

He doesn't care. He probably assumes Noory's Army can't tell the difference anyway, and if they can, they're rat eatin' haterz.

Dateline

Did you not catch this rat-tasty tidbit about the Bloom segment?  He wants to locate the person that invented the sex robot and  interview him.  He gave Bloom the on-air assignment to locate the person.  Then, Norry and Bloom will interview him on air.

Norry, you will be responsible for producing quality sound effects and no 10-second delays allowed.  No delays allowed!

Gyoza Girl

Well, that was quite a show last night. A Republican operative who not only impugned Hillary Clinton's character but also accused her of specific, unproven crimes -- in the midst of a presidential race. Wish we still had the Fairness Doctrine!

Dateline

Hilary is really taking charge!  She knows she is going to be the President hell or high water!

In honor of this she is renaming the White House for a more pleasing and fitting name.  She will be renaming the White House. . . . The Big House.

We might if all this TPP, TTIP, and all the other secretive international "trade" agreements happen, considering that the internet will also, likely, be considered "public airwaves" I could imagine curtailing speech there also. In their, maybe your, ideal world the politicians and corporations will make anything "defamation" or "hate-speech" and shut anyone down expressing an opinion or anything not in keeping with their interests. I say let everyone say what they will, excepting specific exhortations to riot, murder, etc, and if they are lies, there is a civil process to deal with that. Let them hang by their own petards. Free speech, often, let's others known the inadequacies of their argument or exposes the real reasons for them (to wit: NAZI marches, SJWs, BLMs, KKK, etc.) But, if Billary is so outraged she could simply sue Stone and have it out in court. Of course, currently, truth is, here in the US, a defense though Billary could, in this case maybe, prove some malice.  ;)

So you think Hillary orchestrated a campaign of terror that involved slashing tires, breaking windshields, killing pets and threatening the children of women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault? Because that is what Roger Stone accused her of doing. You know, I find it's best not to put much stock in Republican talking points.

Should be sent to politics since Norry doesn't do them.  ;) But if she is so offended there is an easy remedy in court, simply sue him for defamation or just ignore, but if she was really outraged about the untruthfulness of the "bimbo eruption" team and enemies lists, etc she could, but she won't. Even after decades of people, media, radio shows, and so forth claiming all kinds of stuff. Odd? Or just because defamation is hard to prove (Art did it and won though.)

Yes.  Where have you been for the past 30 years?

I'm listening to Noory "interview" Mr. Lobo now, and while I find Lobo entertaining, Noory sounds unusually incoherent. I don't understand how he gets things so garbled when he talks about Sir Graves Ghastly. He freaking knew the guy! They worked at the same tv station!!!

Current guest on C2C, "Mr. Lobo", claims J.C. has been harrassing him for years, and supposedly he's been matching up his taped recordings with cartoons or something and putting them on his show.   ???

George is in prime form tonight.

"Ed Wood Was A Genius."  I doubt even Ed Wood would say Noory was a genius.

"I really hate hucksters who want to come on the show and sell a lot of books."  LOL Jorch.  You must really hate yourself not to mention your program director.

"  Y'know I was collecting comic books around 1957.  I bet I had the first Superman comic book."  - Guest responds that the first Superman Comic was in 1939. Noory then says "Oh" sounding very dejected.

That is only from the first hour of the show tonight.

Preacher features.  LOL.

Haha yeah I heard those 21st.  He also stumbled when he asked about tv sci-fi saying "We've got The Walking Dead, and ..uh .. others ..."  The dude is so lazy he's not even aware of lazy pop culture topics.

I have stumbled on a new show that is pretty good. It's called the Time traveling Bong. Worth checking out

Why does this guest call himself Mr. Lobo.  I'd be calling myself Lobo like this guy.

Noory is so phony tonight.  His knowledge of classic movies and tv is limited to Science Fiction Theater and The Twilight Zone.

I didn't care for ET.  It was way too cute for me.

I don't know what that is but I think I like it already.

Index card inquiry.  "You love what you're doing."

No, Jorch, he just likes the perks that go along with the job.  Moron.

The same 5 or 6 movies always come up on these shows.  Forbidden Planet, Day the Earth Stood Still, Close Encounters, Star Wars, etc.  All great movies but so obvious.  ET is both obvious and boring.  I'd love to hear them talk about less well-known films and actually discuss the themes of them instead of just "Wasn't that a great movie!"

Right.  The guest brought up the great Jack Arnold.  Creature From The Black Lagoon, The Incredible Shrinking Man, Tarantula, It came From Outer Space and Jorch just moves on to his next scripted question.  >:(

You numbnut, Jorch.  He said Explorers.  Why don't you listen to the guest for a change.

A couple of his trenchant questions about film history: "How often are you on the air?" .."What's the funniest thing you've done on the air?"

George does have a Jughead and Veronica #1 in near mint condition, and is very proud of it, I'm surprised he didn't mention it

I started to comment about the second one but I decided to sigh instead.
