George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

Her voice & delivery grate, but even so she's much better listening than the alternative.

Dateline

I flipped through Facebook to find out about the content of the show tonight and here is what I see, another ad for that Paranomal Date site.  "GN: Wow! We've passed 12,000 members for www.paranormaldate.com. Let's go for 13,000! It's free to sign up and be sure to use the code 'George' if you decide to stay."  What irks me is that you are just a number so he can make more money for him.  You are a number attainment.  This is similar to someone bragging that I scored with so many dates this weekend.  I find it off putting and annoying.  I don't like this side of Norry.

I agree.  Oh, that voice!

Hmmmm.  Dee Snider appeared for a senate hearing- Dave wants to testify for congress.  Could it be that he is a "closet sister?"  The difference is that Dee was actually quite intelligent and held his own with Gore and others.  Gore is in the second video- the first is mostly a statement.  Dave would be good at that part.  3X5's are his thing.  However, during the questions he would be a stumbling, blathering mess just repeating what is on his 3X5's from before.

That is the instant that I started disliking Gore.  What a sanctimonious piece of shit.

George is reminding me more and more of Count Floyd on SCTV.  "Hooooo, have we got a scary show for you."  He is as fake as Floyd and really makes me howl.

NoMoreNoory

Uh-oh! First guest, Juan Enriquez is already having phone trouble. Might be just as well, given the gobbledygook he's already spewing. Entrepreneurs were burned at the stake for having new ideas???

This guy is great at explaining and simplifying things, but it's taxing poor George's attention span so that he has no clue what is going on, as evidenced by his questions.

Meanwhile, 'Intertribal medicine man and longtime Coast To Coast guest, Robert Elk' has died. Time off on Friday for Dave with another 'tribute'.

It might come as soon as after the next station break, the way this interview is going. Poor Dave's tiny little brain is already glazed over  from listening to Juan (who is obviously a very intelligent person).

This is a klashik C2C slow-motion multi-vehicle pile-up.

I'm enjoying this guest quite a lot.  Therefore, I'm pretty certain we'll be hearing about Spring Heel Jack before long.

I'm not enjoying George's random non sequiturs.

Whenever there's a show like this (usually when someone like Howard Bloom of Michio Kaiku), the image that goes through my mind is the Monolith alien intelligence trying to communicate with Dave Bowman in 2001.

Morgus

From Noory's tone at the end of this first hour, I suspect he will be dumping the guest now.
Look for either open lines for the second hour, or he may bring the second guest on early or go to one of his substitute guests...

This could be the night that I try to drop Analee Newitz's Gizmodo article on the coming Infrastructure Age (ie the "Internet of Things") and how that might affect human evolution.

I've been reading stuff on the internet, so I haven't been listening closely, but though the guest is obviously intelligent, he seems to spend far to long to make even the most basic point, and a great deal of what I've heard him say sounds like stuff a person would learn in a first year economics course.

Trade offs are a fundamental of micro economics.  They are the main part of both utility theory and opportunity cost theory.  In finance, they are referred to as cost/benefit analysis.

'I gotta tell you, though, in the future anything could happen.'

See, these are the profound insights that keep us coming back night after night.

Yep, it sounds like George is letting this guy go at the break.  Before they change it on the C2C site, here is confirmation he was scheduled for 2 hours:

QuoteIn the first half of the program, bestselling author and global authority on the economic and political impact of life sciences, Juan Enriquez, will discuss how man is now the primary driver of change and how we will directly and indirectly determine what lives and what dies as well as where and when.

Yep, the show's already dropped at least 160 IQ points with Juan's departure.

I'm reckoning Marjorie wishes she was wherever Juan went after Dave dumped him.

I was enjoying Juan Enriquez; then pfffft, off to The Story Lady for three hours.  Hello, Phil Hendrie?

Yeah, I'm already losing interest in this guest. Having Dave doing the interview isn't helping things either.

I don't know I thought Juan was hard to listen to. He kinda sounded like he was trying to say something profound when asked what was the most important thing in the future and his response fell flat to me.

NoMoreNoory

Yeah. It's not Marjorie's fault, and this is my territory so I'm interested, but this is unbearable. Even by his own dismal lights, Noory is just being the most asinine buffoon. I want to reach into the radio and punch him repeatedly in the face. Fucking idiot.

I've already bailed for sports talk. Thank Heavens that Sirius/XM has something other than ESPN Radio sportswise.

Yes, as I've already written here, his profound comments are just standard first year economic theory.
