I've already switched over to the NBC Sports channel on Sirius/XM. Talk on the revelations about Pete Rose betting on baseball as a player will be far more interesting than Dave discussing guns.

Pete Rose should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.  Nobody played harder than Charlie Hustle.  I don't give a shit if he bet on the team he was managing as long as he was not betting against his own team.  Nothing I've ever heard says he did that.  I have a better idea, since Pete is banned then definitely all people who played baseball on steroids should have their names stricken from the record books and also banned from the Hall.  Actually, I think that should be the case with the latter.  I gave up on baseball in the mid 90's when over-salaried players went on strike and steroids were having an impact on the game.  Now, I don't follow any sports.

I am tired of excessive political correctness.  In that vein, I am offended by the use of Lowlife on the airwaves of America.

Raising the Confederate Flag (aka The Official Flag of Failure) to protest political correctness is just as wrong as it is raising it to protest desegregation. Which is why South Carolina started flying the flag over the state Capitol building (and later on the capital grounds) in the first place.

As an ex-pat (no relation) Brit, I have no intention of wading into this most American of debates (though this is entirely one-sided), but I do wish that any examination of the Second Amendment would begin with an examination of its context and precise wording, in all its historical and grammatical ambiguity:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

To make a long story short, the Founders believed in a natural right of self defense.  So if someone invaded another persons home with a gun, the defender also had a right to a gun so he/she could properly defend his/her home.  Original intent is important and should clarify the text throughout the Constitution. I agree that the language could have been a bit more forthright by simply adding an and to the sentence.  A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State and the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.   Any further discussion is beyond the scope of this thread and belongs on the political thread.

And I am not happy.  Turned it on just to hear that and had to turn it off again. 
Just in the few minutes I listened I heard:

Even if it sucks if he stays on the air for more than a few weeks it's a win. I have low expectations for it based on his previous effort. The fact that it starts earlier is kind of a negative too. Is it 11 pm for Central?"
