You mean like... ZZ Top?

I don't know.  Sometimes I don't think George gets it.

George didn't thank Art Bell at the end of his show tonight.

He did away with that months ago. Art asked him not to do it anymore and for once Noory complied.

Didn't one of the AC/DC drummers try to take a hit out on someone?

The guest discussed this briefly but I zoned out so can provide no further info.

Cure for Insomnia: "So, what is a 'tribute band?'"

Ok, lemme put this in a way you might understand. Imagine that there was a legendary radio host, someone who built an incredibly famous international radio show starting from a dingy AM studio in a Vegas casino-hotel. Ponder that that host was so talented and was so appreciated by his audience that he and his show became the highest rated overnight radio show in all the world. In fact, when he retired, hundreds of people who thought they were talented enough tried to take his place. Dream for a second that one of those clones, who was really, really bad at being a host, didn't listen to his guests, and was incurious, was hired to replace that host. THAT guy, the talentless replacement, the joke, the clown, would be a very, very bad Tribute to that first host.

Get it? Or does Lisa or Tommy need to explain that to you, too?

The amount of information that he hasn't stored in that mind of his is astounding. He really does know next to nothing.  I like to view this thread as a tribute to his over-the-top suckage. Enjoy, Georgie.

Georgie Noory:  Gee, that Dean Martin is real swell, Mommy-o.
Georgette Noory:  Aren't the other boys your age going to that concert in.. where is it?  Woodstock?
Georgie Noory:  Never heard of it Momsy.  Hey, can you put on ol' Blue Eyes again?  Oh, he really makes me want to swoon.
Georgette Noory:  Why don't you go out and get plastered on whisky and then find a couple nice hippie girls to give you some free love.  It will do you good.

Yes.  Phil Rudd.  That charge was withdrawn.

Malcolm Young with dementia = a tragic loss

Noory with dementia = Nightly at 10pm pst.

Dementia or Alzheimers are the only reasons I can come up with to explain most of George's shortcomings. At least those are the reasons I feel comfortable sharing with people without sounding offensive.

It is sad how unhip Noory is.

My wife won't listen to Highway To Hell if it is on the radio.  She thinks it is Satanic.  This is the woman whose favorite group as a teenager  and young adult was Iron Maiden. I love her madly but man sometimes I go WTF.

Iron Maiden had a song called "The Number of the Beast"

Catherine claimed tonight computer chips are the Number of the Beast

There are no coincidences.

LOL.  I love that tune and another one called The Prisoner. A reference to the McGoohan series and a sound bite.  "I am not a number!"

LOL. That's what I thought too. Why the wait?  He never even posted on another thread.  He just decides to post links to porno?

CM- This appears to be a problem everywhere on the net. You can be searching Pinterest for a drawing tutorial or instructions on how to build a raised garden bed and click on to an innocent looking picture that should lead to a tutorial or webpage but instead directs you to something pornographic. Pinterest has a report button and specific category for this to help them take down those links.

I'm guessing that these trolls get paid for "clicks" or amuse themselves this way. Sad display of more decline in civility and intelligence. OR- given some bots' past behaviour, it could be their attempt to cause trouble for MV.

Thank you for alerting us to this, CM.

Maybe you're right.  Perhaps he knows he had that problem, which is why there are all the 'health' experts on his show?

After the bit I heard last night, I have the sudden urge to chip myself.
I think those who travel a lot or have Dave's possible health problems mentioned above, should be chipped.  There are supposedly chips that can be activated only if a person is lost or kidnapped, sending signals to satellites.

Dateline

Nah, never ever will Norry take the chip.  He wears the bracelet that says, "If I get lost call this number."  It has some number linked to Coast.  I'm sure that you have heard of medical alert bracelets.

This will be his next venture, "Getalostalert.com."

That AC-DC program was Dave Noory at his very worst.   The guy was what?  about 27 or so when AC-DC hit the scene in the mid-70s and he didn't know a damn thing about the band or the music?  He tried to equate first Chuck Berry and then later on, the Beatles and early Stones with AC-DC and their era.   Thought only "30%" of the people would know who they are?  Huh??

He's obviously clueless about anything in popular music beyond 1960 and he had no idea what kind of questions to ask the guest.   He's not at all aware that his "dear friends," ZZ Top have been contemporaries of AC-DC for some 40 years.

Where was this guy in the 60s and beyond? I think he went to high school in Detroit -- a city with a great musical history -- right?  Didn't he ever listen to the radio or go to a dance or a rock'n'roll show?  Has he ever gone to a rock show in his adult life??

I think he just skimmed the guest's book and then tried to do the interview.  Winging it, Noory style, is about as bad as it gets.....

Don't know why but this reminds me of C2C with Dave...

Yes I caught this too, Noory seemed to think they were contemporaries.  The guest gets the Save of the Week award by responding, after a short wtf pause,  "Uh .. well, he was a big inspiration for them."

Let the Tommy jokes begin...

Noory's interviews, if this is even possible, have grown so pathetic I have to laugh uproariously OUT LOUD while lying in bed!

He has NO clue about his guests or the topics being discussed.  He has started to not only repeat a question, but may repeat it three or four times.

His juvenile questions included this one about AC/DC last night:

If someone sat down with the AC/DC band, would they be cool?

UH?  What in the hell is that?  STUPID STUPID STUPID........and, the list goes on and on with the most ridiculous questions the past two weeks that reach a newer LOW for Noory.

Again, I listen in the hope that the guest with TAKE OVER the interview and get Noory to SHUT THE HELL UP!   :o

Noory was a mommy's boy who lived in a wimp bubble.........he is clueless.

By the way......I'm a fan of Sinatra too, but I'm beginning to be ashamed to admit it.   ;)

Frank's not doing a lot of bragging upstairs, either.

the AC/SC segment had Schrader written all over it..even Knapp would have been vastly better..but old Dave showed his amazing skills and ruined what could have been such a good half of a show

It's always best to leave Dave at home.  Since Hoagie is now out and running free, Dave should be moved into Hoagie's old attic hideaway.  It would be best for all.
