No, I hadn't heard of it until after that introduction when George summarized it.  Mass shootings are always terrible, obviously, but I hadn't heard the news coverage and it still didn't really register.  I haven't yet followed it so it still hasn't.  As an outsider mass shootings seem endemic of American society.  You grow kind of numb to hearing of them.  Sorry, I didn't make the connection of why it would affect the future of the program, if that's what George meant.

This is just an observation, but normally my instincts are right in line with reality.  Every week the programming and business decisions being made and affecting the show are becoming more and more detrimental.  Where there is smoke there is fire.  Listeners are dissatisfied with the commercialization of Coast.  No one is paying attention and they just keep plowing ahead without recognition. 

I think this format of Coast is going to be impacted big time in the next three months.  With Art's return, Norry sucking the fan base dry with his pushing his personal agenda and business dealings, and just the normal expression of fan frustration there will be a shake up.  This is my prediction. 

I was a huge fan of this show, and now it is just a non-event.  I listen and I am not entertained I am derailed and angry.  This show has such potential with a person who can present the information and topics in an informative matter, not on a kindergarten level.  I'm not buying it, and I am going to take a 30-day radio night hiatus until Art's return  Adios.

George became agitated when the guest made some disparaging remarks about 'marketing terms.'  George's entire career is about marketing and none of it is about truth or entertainment value.  He's lost his way, thinking marketing is ends and not the means.

That is a good point. This is just another way that George Noory pretends to be Art Bell. After all it was Art Bell who concerned himself with sun activity...even had the status indicator on his website. He also had Ed Dames on once in a while to talk about the "kill shot" solar flare as Jorch still does. Of course with Art Bell much of it was tied to his interest in ham radio or the effect on the technology and such, but what exactly is Jorch's interest? He's just a pretender.

Yes, of course.  How could I have left that out?  Thanks.  I watched an episode of VICE one day which gave what a layperson as myself would call miraculous news of success in treating seemingly all sorts of cancers by giving a person various viruses.  Supposedly, way back in the 1040's (I think) a woman and maybe a dog had been cured by accidentally catching some virus but for some reason no one followed up on it.  I think they mentioned the Mayo Clinic and Anderson in Texas and some tasty Canadian hospital being involved.

I don't think control rods can prevent a nuclear melt down, just delay it.   Especially when the expended fuel rod cooling tanks are considered.

From Wiki, "He attended the University of Detroit, spending two years in the pre-dental program before switching his major to Communications."  As has been mentioned here before, I guess we should be grateful he didn't somehow become a dentist.  I hate to think how much somebody's mouth could suffer if our ears are any indication.
