George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No
To Noory's credit, I did find a tabloid that talked about an apparent hoax that Belzer had died.  The article was updated this morning during the interview but thanks to my flakey tablet I didn't get to read the article, and didn't care to take another look.

George thinks the 'For Dummies' books are too detailed and have too much useless information.

He will shortly begin tri-authoring his own 'From Dummies' series on various topics he wishes he knew more about

Word is the working title for his next recipe book will be 'Sumbuddy's Eat-een Sumpthin' Sumwhere'

I'm waiting for his take on his favorite book. The Bible For Dummies.

I need $1,000.00.
I have PayPal but Western Union would be better because I need it right away.
Thanks in advance.

Gnoory: Nice try  ask Art

Art already has fans. You don't. I'll pretend to be your fan for $1000.00.

Gnoory: what planet are you on chump..im doing just fine
BWAH!  "Chump" has always been a favorite pejorative of Dave's when he's playing the tough guy with the rat-eating haterz.

Rubber, glue, me, you and stuff.

I know you are, but what am I?
That riposte strikes at the heart, sir.  If you keep that up, the trolls won't have anyone to play with.

Thanks, GfP.  I looked to see if there was anything on this, and couldn't find anything.  I imagine, though, that the tabloid you're speaking of is the type from where Jorch gets most of his news and advice for his audience.

GNS  :(

I like that. Being an agnostic at least is a logical decision. Being an atheist is just ignorant.

I didn't want to get into this discussion.  I really didn't.  I grew up in the Catholic faith, attended church every Sunday, acted as an altar server, etc. etc.  As a teenager I began to question my faith, but my priest told me everyone does that and that I would come back to it.  But I didn't.  After decades of careful contemplation, even after seeing my mother die last year, I am now fully atheist.  I respect that science is confined to using the tools of this reality and can't say anything one way or another about possible greater realities, and I respect the beliefs of those who aren't certain or who profess faith, but I resent being called ignorant.  I am well educated but have not been turned away from my beliefs by my educators.  On the contrary I am pressured frequently to believe.  I have reasoned it out on my own by considering the history of man, of culture and civilization, of religion, and of scientific realities.  Please don't call me ignorant for that.

But this has already been discussed way too much in other threads and the George Noory Sucks thread is really starting to suck the past few days with all the hurt pride.  Let's stay focussed  :).

Been over 6 months since I've heard a snoory show, what's been happening lately with the snooron?  I recently tore down my computer and rebuilt it, I now have an Intel Core i5 4690K with ASUS Z97 Pro and 16 gig of RAM, I'll be ready for Art's return!  You know, I've felt a lot cleaner and healthier ever since I cut out Noory from my daily mix.

Please stick together people.

Be aware that The Noorie's strength and vitality increases a few notches each time two Bellgabbers clash.

I and a lot of other people think you suck... and you have been phoning it in for lack of a better term for far too long.

It does.  I'm coming from an AMD Deneb 955 Phenom II with only 4 GB RAM on a cheap board, now I've got 16 GB.  It's night and day difference.  Now I need to get an SSD and a Haswell ready SMPS and a new case.

Sure, for whatever it's worth :).  If I saw something like that in a tabloid style paper or site, I'm not sure I would have brought it up.  I guess the Noorie was having a panic attack that something had happened to his new buddy.

That's even funnier knowing that when Dave reads it he won't understand it.

Major Ed wherefore art thou?  Please returneth to this den of vipers.

If you do a cost-benefit analysis of George's employment, does he still have game?  Maybe he meant to use that word because he knows his broadcasting career has caused a net loss to society rather than a net gain.

When I said that atheists are ignorant, I meant mostly people who believe that ancient scriptures are useless and contain mostly made up fiction. I think these old books are very valuable and interesting.
I'm not a bible thumper, actually I'm agnostic too, sort of.
Meaning, I don't know yet what to believe exactly. Still have to think about it.
For example - considering the story of the fallen angels - I haven't completely made up my mind if they were the bad guys, the good guys, or if they existed at all. I just think it's pretty ignorant to completely discard the possibility that something like this happened at all (like Atheist do).
Sorry to hear about your mum. But I never believed that god is directly guiding the life of 7 billion people on the planet. So a death should not be a reason to become an atheist, when it is not god's job and plan to deal with physical bodies but with the souls - who supposedly live on.
As painful as the death of a close person is, I would not discard the possibility that something (the soul) lives on, and if you're not sure about that, then you're not really an atheist but agnostic.

I'm begging you guys to continue this conversation over in this thread where it's better suited than a thread about a sucky talk show host.

You're a very thoughtful intellect.  I appreciate your contribution to the thread as I do Georgie For President and 136 or 142 and most of the others that post on the thread.  Just ignore the the small minds that appear to be phobic about religion.  I think there may be other forces at work with those sort of haters. They deserve pity and maybe prayer if you believe in that.  I'm not sure what I believe in regards to the creation of the universe.  When I look at the complex beauty of Nature, I have to believe the creation was guided by an intelligent creator.

I'm not saying anymore about this on this thread.  George Noory SUCKS.

ACE of CLUBS

Many native cultures have a belief that the soul of a person lives on ...... the body that the soul lived in wore out.  The soul moved on.  Still here, but in a different form.
Their cultures aren't geared around what we call death, but rather the continuation of that life in that different form.
This can be a very comforting thought.
My roots are native from the 'Great Plains' ..... although European organized religions are an influence ..... the old ways prevail un-noticed.

GFP2216 ..... hope you find peace.  Your mother is still there ....... look for her when the time is right.

Goddamn it's amazing to me how people, when talking about religion, just CAN'T stop themselves.  Just shut the fuck up and don't talk about it. And don't respond saying "he started it.." Just shut the fuck up for crying out loud. Unbelievable.

This woman is a full-of-shit big talker and is clearly desperate for validation. Lady - you're super powerful and a real rainmaker.  Feel better? Will you, too, shut the fuck up now? Everyone please kill yourselves.

Thanks for your thoughts '1911, Ace, and '21.  For the record, I wasn't expecting divine intervention or anything like that.  For the sake of zeebo I'll leave it there.
