Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

George just dumped an Iraqi war vet's call because the man used a bad word...

That pissed me off also. Then he scolded him like a child.Obviously the "swear" word was prevented before it went on air so what's the big deal...

George's mother listens to the show.  George can't have cursin', or yellin' an screamin'.  Plus, it gives Tommy something to do

Although Norry mispronounces many words he seems to have a special problem with the word POWERFUL  :o . I can't think of an instance in which he attempted to say that word without garbling it. And it is a fairly common and easily pronounced word. But even if he has some congenital speech impediment, or mental block on that word, why wouldn't he, or Tommy, get a thesaurus and use a synonym instead?

ps: last night's show (host, guest, and subject...callers not so much) really showed how bad the Norry C2C is.

Juan

So (ha) I have a choice tonight - listen to sNoory or Paranormal Central on DMRN.  I think sNoory is preferable.

My recommendation, save that one for a great Knapp show, or maybe Art's first return show if it happens.

Still it does make me wonder whether George drinks apple juice or warm milk when he reminisces about his glory days of youth, throwin' frogs at the wall and munchin' on moths.
He only breaks out the Ovaltine for those special hamster stomping memories.

Whatever self-reform he chooses, Noory should begin by eliminating several words from his vocabulary. Starting with "indeed" - a word that almost means nothing, hence being useful to Jorch.
"Valley Speak" is bad enough.  I cringe when I hear a vocabulary seemingly limited to "like," "awesome," "amazing," for sure," and "dude."  Noory can make a Valley Talker appear to be an Oxford graduate.

geez

things like that

"What is the most......."

Big Bang........

little kids

I am of the belief......

When I was in the Navy

When I was a little kid

OK, others on this forum can take it from here..........

Of course. He needs to stop saying "of course" constantly. He says it when it's totally inappropriate and unnecessary.

He does the same with theater. He says it something like theor-dur.

Ha! Yeah, I noticed that on the show I was listening to from a few nights ago. He kept saying "parfil" and just couldn't pronounce it correctly. What a dolt.

Have any of Noory's guests ever said he sucks? Surely they exist.

Doubt it. Where else would they try to sell their garbage? Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

NoMoreNoory

I just wanted to quickly note this Friday night moment before we begin to submerge with the artists tonight.

Joorch introduced a caller as Joe, and then of course added 'Go ahead, Joseph!'
Hearing what was clearly a woman's voice on the phone, Noory spluttered 'Oh! You must be....a Josephine. Josephine!'
'No. Mary-Jo'

Maybe that'll teach him to quite this inane shortening or elongating of people's names. But I doubt it.

Look what happened to Hoagie after yukking it up with Art on DM.  Jorch is a petty, vengeful fellow.

I sometimes wonder while listening if Danheiser were let go, whether it would improve Noory's job performance.

I wonder if Hoaxland had to prostrate himself before Jorch and kiss his ring before Jorch let him back on Coast.

AvDaBr

"Liquid luck"

I'm thinking there's at least some solid material in that "liquid".

Juan Cena

Wait, Stallone is playing Greg Scarpa, The jailed mobster Peter Lance tried to paint as being some kind of American hero, and it fails to to register with Snorge?

The man is truly denser than a box of hammers.

AvDaBr

Roy Sullivan, whom both guest and host referred to as being struck seven times by lightning, committed suicide back in '83.  Yet they'd both like to meet him.

Seriously this is the description for a guest tonight

2nd Half: Author, activist and world traveler, Jake Ducey,

Really world traveler? Pathetic.

AvDaBr

Perhaps he's searching for a more inept radio host.  Still gots some travelin' to do.

I'm sure The Hoaxster had to endure some type of sadistic torture as penance.  Maybe Jorch forced him into a duet of "I've Got You, Babe."  The horror.

bateman

I can't get over the title - so appropriate for Jorch. "Sumone's Hiding Sumpthin'!"

Just look what Jorch has learned from 12 years of experience hosting C2C and how much the show has benefited from it.

Yep but we never heard them since Noory would just use his delay dump button and then claim "oops we seem to have mysteriously lost our guest, lets go to open lines"  8)

You just nailed Jorch's sole contribution.  Too bad the publisher didn't properly capture Noory-phonetics.

Gassy Man

Way to go with the ugly wife comment, George, even though you thought you were being clever in referencing that old, old song.

Just think about how many folks got to hear Lionel Fanthorpe over the years.
