I'd never have believed that people pay actually a $99.95 pay-per-view fee to see a gruesome UFC match if I hadn't seen the promo message on my cable box.  Nice family saturday night viewing; I guess something had to replace Lawrence Welk.

That in HD or something?  Never heard of Uncle Dana charging that much.

Quote from: albrecht on June 25, 2014, 01:22:54 PM
And they show it for free also on various channels (or maybe it is after the ppv match is done? I don't know, I don't watch.)

Never heard of that either.  Other than like "highlight" stuff.

That gif looks fake to be honest. That kid clearly knew what was coming up each time before it happened.

Unfortunately Lawrence Welk is not in HD or in surround sound. I think I've seen the UFC shows advertised on Fox and also on Spike? Though there are several leagues, I guess, and not sure if they are only the highlights or not. Or maybe it was ads for the PPV? Not sure how much the PPV costs, maybe it depends on market or on the fight?

Could the problem be the "star children" aka "indigo children"? Maybe they don't feel pain or are sadists? Aren't we told by various C2C guests that this generation many of the children are "indigo"? Hmmmm

I heard the Indigo Girls were sadists. Oops sorry, I was thinking sodomists.

he probably "plays a doctor" or "plays a scientist" on tv....much like Hoagland. Someone ad agency didn't do their proper background and research!

Reminded me of the old Lipitor ads.. Dr. Jarvik may be technically a "doctor",  but isn't a prescription-writing medical type of doctor...

More on Fox than Spike nowadays.  UFC was on Spike, then switched to Fox.  Bellator (a UFC competitor) is now on Spike.  Some fights have full main cards that are on regular TV.  Sometimes the prelims are on TV as a type of advertisement to get people to pay money to see the main card on PPV.  Sometimes the fights are only available on a subscription service called "Fight Pass."

I know it would be illegal to do so, but I almost think advertising for any medicine, should be banned. Let real doctors and real pharmacists let you know if you need something. Or, do the research yourself into your condition, the medicine, the testing, the alternative paths, etc. I'm not saying banning "alternative medicine" and only have FDA approved. But ban the ads on all, both real and alternative or "natural" or UFO-based or whatever. Too many people getting rooked, or killed, by both real medicine and "alternative" medicine due to the advertizements both. And the ads bore me. I know this would likely kill C2C and even mainstream tv but.....

is that a christian show?  i only listen to christian programming.

Ass to Mouth AM is a late night talk radio program hosted by Jorch Naughty.  The show earned its name by spewing so much electromagnetic fecal matter that listeners complained they could actually taste it.  When asked about this phenomenon, Naughty laughed and said, "Uh lettle electro-whatzit turd polish will fixsh et right up..............[sic] I mean, look what itsh dun fer me!"  While not technically Christian programming, the host said, "Itsh not, not-chrestean programming, so it must be some chrestean pregraming, uh, pregramming, eh, yew know wut I mean."

But... but how else would the general public know they found a drug that could help you to be able to use your dick to hang drywall?  I still think the chemical (or whatever it's called) name of the one drug should be TA-DA!!!!-lafil...

I just wanna see the reactions and outtakes of some portly older guy who shows up at the ER with his hard-on sticking up and tells the candy-stripers, as the commercials tell you, "could you help me with this, commercials say if I have an erection over 4 hours to seek your help." Heck, even someone just claiming that to get "relief" for that condition by some nurses. Sounds more like a Cinemax movie than a medical condition. (I know, I know, it probably is. But still would be funny to see the reactions of the interns on staff.)

Bag of ice, a handjob, a blowjob, or more... :) .  Might all depends on how good your insurance is.

I blame it far more on 20 years of WWF as "clean family TV" and the newer abomination of MMA/UFC; unfettered bloody brutality as entertainment.
there's the modern circus.  Get your crust of bread?

When I was policing up the projects of Lost Angeles, I got to see amateur MMA quite often.

Of course Narc-Anon worked that way.  All the "Anon" groups are Scientology... with the "scientology" part taken out... as I hit post, the guest agreed...

Mike.

You mean L. Ron just stole off of Bill W's writings? Damn. I never even saw a UFO while jacked, pun intended, yet missed that connection.

Not at all.  That's "AA" or "Alcoholics Anonymous."  Completely different.  Al-Anon... Narc-Anon... see the difference in the name?

Feyl's website has a disclaimer stating that his "group", Catholic Church Inc. ::), has no affiliation with the Roman Catholic Church.  They're just a bunch of pretend exorcists and cleric wannabees playing dress-up in cassocks in bishops' purple and lace, where every one gets to be a bishop or maybe pope.  It's no surprise Noory glossed over it, he's held a grudge against the RCC ever since he learned of the church's view of mastubation.

That would imply George knew a) what masturbation is, and b) that he knew how to do it.

Perhaps masterbateman does make one go blind.  Maybe that's how the Jorch came about...Daddy was feeling a bit too lonely a few times too often and ended up blind, mated with the 'missus' and along comes the bottom feeder, I mean, the Jorch.  I mean there's no proof that Jorch is not a hybrid.  Is there?

AA meetings.. There is nothing that would make you want to drink more than sitting in a room full of depressed drunks moaning about the problems in their lives. Fuck that nonsense.

paladin1991

I had to attend an AA course as part of my certification as the Drug and Alcohol Counselor when I was on active duty.  Chain smoking, coffee swilling, foul mouthed and some truly aggressive personalities in there.  I should have just hung out on base at the SNCO club.

I assume they only have PPV for "championships"; which seem to be about quarterly.  They get the high fees for championshipship boxing too. I've occasionally clicked through free thug-fight broadcasts, but I assume those are the lower ranked mutts who get a few hundred bucks for having the crap beat out of them so they can get more tattoos.  Bad enough that people actually are attracted to such commercialized brutality, let alone pay a fortune to see it TV.

tonight starts the "almost 3 days of no-noory"
