Has Jorch gotten back with you yet with "an offer you can't refuse."  ;)

Oh I can refuse a lot.

But a number beginning with five and ending with three
Continuous zeros would keep me too busy to post here much.

Falkie2013

I need some help guys and gals.

I posted this video and also sent it to $noorge's Coast Facebook page.

Now You Tube is denying me monetization for it because presumably C2C, Premiere or $noory is claiming I don't have the right to use the picture in my video.

And they give you no option other than clicking on " I can prove I have the right to monetize the video, while using this picture. "

It's an integral part of my video and I wouldn't know how to edit out the photo. I consider it a Fair Use right due to the video is a parody of $noorge's singing.

Help ?

If they don't monetize it, it won't be taken down but does this mean that if anyone uses the picture $noorge, C2C is going to bitch about it ?

They wouldn't do this if Fox or the Comedy Channel ran it in a clip would they ?

Although, they being rich would probably have a blanket permission to use photos from Premiere content, I dunno.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_Y8F2fq_4k

You Tube it almost impossible to contest fair use and other restrictions because they make it so difficult to email them and the only other option is snail mail. Calls do no good, they just refer you to their stupid do not reply emails which are useally useless for these sort of matters.

I really, really, really could use someone's help in fixing this mirroring problem that my Isight camera creates as well.

In the first half, practicing Wizard Oberon Zell updates his work on magical creatures as well as autumnal rituals we can practice to celebrate the harvest, reconnect with our roots, and release what no longer serves us.

IF that's true & he's able to do that then why didn't he use his magical ritual power to work on $noory and release him since HE hasn't served us properly for years.

And while he's at it he could also use his mystical power to release Art from his NO COMPETE CLAUSE.

Oh, I'm getting lots of cat pictures and followers on Twitter because I put the picture up asking all cats to join the Art Bell Cat Army and attack Sirius !

lol

I sent my bro a text last night: "hey man, you gotta turn on the radio and listen to this." After a while, he sent back: "LOVE ME SOME LIZARD MAN!" That's the kind of C2C I like â€" the kind that evokes a "you gotta turn on the radio" text. Even if it's just to laugh in disbelief at something. It doesn't have to fill me with reverential awe.
...

haha great text, and I agree, I get a kick out of topics like that myself - whatever the reality is, they're still interesting to contemplate or at least get a giggle from.  and some of them are like campfire stories, which sound silly by day, but at night, with the shadows dancing out there, you think .. hmm

Ok it's been awhile, but I may have to come along on this, if only for the face-palms ... anyway poor valdez shouldn't have to bear the burden alone.

I actually KNOW Oberon. He's quite nice, actually. The unicorn thing was basically an experiment he did in the 70s where he managed to get a goat to grow a single horn out of its forehead using a surgical technique. He still has the skull of the goat in his home.

Well with Bell out for at least the next two years probably forever...

Its back to telling everyone how much Noory sucks.

I'm trying not think to about just how thrilled "Dr. Noorie" is going to be hearing about "procedures" such as you've described.  Prepare yourself for another installment of "Dr. Noorie and the Hamster House of Doom."

For those inclined:

QuoteFm: Some readers may be unaware of your work with unicorns and your role in shedding light onto that mystery. How did you end up discovering the secret of the Unicorn?
OZ: Long long ago, early on after Morning Glory and I got together, we had shared a great many interests, and one of those was an interest in mythical beasties. We had always found them fascinating. We also had a grounding in science and biology and of course cryptozoology... the Medieval, Renaissance Unicorns were all one horned goats because they all had these little beards and cloven hooves. I then came across the work of a biologist in the ‘30s from Maine who had done some research into horn development that just blew me away. He was actually able to, through a process called pedicle flap transplantation, produce a unicorn bull calf! He, himself, was absolutely blown away by the animal which developed all these amazing properties, characteristics and personality... My conclusion at that point was “Wow! Wait a minute... these were real animals that were actually produced by a lost, secret technique that was closely guarded for thousands of years, in order to produce leaders that could defend the heard against predators.” Which is why they are often shown fighting lions and what not. So at that point it was like “Well, are we going to write about this in the book or are we just going to do it?” and we made a fateful decision to dedicate ourselves to try to replicate this process. That turned our whole life upside down and inside out and we spent a whole decade raising unicorns.

Now I remember, I heard his first interview with George. It didn't make sense then either.

George wrote me a note in response to my last post and I'm satisfied on a few things.

I think George probably did endorse a double line up on 104. It would only benefit him to do it and as it stands C2C is bookended now with vulgar crap radio. That's not ideal for C2C. I'm also skeptical that a dirty deal could be cooked up in such a short time between Premiere and SXM. I shall cut George some slack on that.

Itsover, you may now post the dolphin porn gif.

ItsOver

Hey, SciFi.  I'm about worn out on the entire sorry saga of the past few weeks, at least for now. ;)  As I understand it, though, PremRat had been working with Sirius for awhile to get C2C back on Sirius.  Was this common knowledge?  Even still, there was no guarantee C2C was going to resurface on Sirius.  At what point was this a done deal?  Before or after Art left?   Did Art know about it or find out about it at some point during the epic six week tenure of Dark Matter?

Art had just spent part of the first Dark Matter show detailing his issues with Premier and then there's been the ongoing soap opera of events between Art and Noory for the past several months.  I have a hard time believing Art was going to be thrilled about potentially serving as a lead-in for C2C on Sirius.  Assuming streaming was the main issue, can you imagine Art being happy with such an arrangement on Sirius?  I'm thinking he would have left anyway, no matter when he found out about it.

Anyway, enough of the Colombo recreation.  The /b/ site just about fried my brain last night when I inadvertently wondered into that "pleasure palace," so I'll save us all the porpoise porn.  ;)

Meanandnasty

For the point of discussion, the double line-up did not benefit Mr. Bell, but did benefit Mr. Noory.  Mr. Bell had three hours allotted to him and extra time for play time if  he wanted it.  Also, the show was replayed after that. Indie 104 was Art's Channel free and clear channel.

With this double-deal, Mr. Bell would be kicked back to three hours and not have that extra hour that competed with Coast.  Then, his show would not have the replay.  Again no competition with Coast.  I see that as a very satisfiable position for Coast to be in.  No competiton from the competition.  They have their competition shuttered back into a three hour segment with no control over his channel.

I don't know how it played out.  Maybe Mr. Bell got wind of it blowing in.  He said on his first broadcast that he has an institutional hatred towards Premiere for their treatment of him.  He broadcast that the very first evening.  Then to be the warm up or opening act for Coast was just not a bed  he wanted to lie in.  This may have been one of the motivations for the quittening.    If I felt the way Mr. Bell publicly announced he felt, I don't blame him.  I would want out, too.  We don't know there may have been some kick-ass money offered to Sirius to alter the line-up.  Mr. Noory has the cushy corporate bedding, Mr. Bell is a lonewolf howling in the desert wind.  Money won.

Yeah, Mr. Noory may be giving an outline of the transaction, but not the details.  We may never know, but corporations can be dirty scheming lizard men.   Smile in their face, and for analogy sake stab them in the verbal back.

And about the non-compete, that is just a piece of sugar to sweeten the deal.  However this plays out, and if Mr. Bell is challenging this legally is the next chapter.  Stay tuned.  I don't think the wind has stopped blowing yet in the high dessert.

I didn't think I'd be back here. I guess instead of writing: "congratulations, you got your wish" I should have written: "Enjoy it while it lasts because Art has a history of bailing". Perhaps Noory will use this episode to improve, but I doubt it.

George, on the very slim chance you read this, I have some advice: For once in your life break out of your mold and stop being the go-along to get-along guy. Make C2C into something original instead of a big infomercial every night. I doubt you have much say about guests, but if you do, drop all Art's tired old hand-me-downs. Drop the Numbers Lady. Drop the New Age 'create your own reality' huxsters. Drop the dull mainstream scientists. Drop your past astrologers until you can find one who actually knows the subject. Your last astrologer guest said Mercury was retrograde when Mercury was actually several days away from turning retrograde. These folks are boring and they can be found everywhere. One thing you DO have control over is this: STOP cutting off callers in the middle of an interesting story, and START cutting off callers who drone on about their personal problems. This is talk radio at it's very worst.

I am very informed about alternative health. These are the only shows you do well. You seem to have a knowledge base on the subject, and because of this you ask pertinent questions. These are the ONLY interviews you do where you actually have a dialogue with the guest, rather than grabbing your cue cards willy-nilly. Most of the time it sounds like you just shuffle the question cards and pick them at random. I know you can do better George, because the health shows prove that if you are putting effort into the interview, it is better. This is an opportunity to make a change. Even if you can't change the boring guests, you can make an effort. It irritates me that you mangle almost every sentence that leaves your mouth, but I could forgive this if you would just do some show-prep and make an effort to do a better interview. I hate tv. I don't have one. I love talk radio at night, but it frustrates me that all I have is C2C, and it gets worse all the time. I was really looking forward to Duncan Cameron, and was disappointed when he was yanked. Please try to get him on.

I was a little surprised that Noory answered me privately. He wrote: ""well said and duly noted (FYI Numbers Lady next week!)" was that bit about the Numbers Lady done to rub it in? I wrote back challenging him to have ME on as a guest. My story: www.searchingforfernando.wordpress.com beats all but a handful of guests I've heard on C2C (ok, I can't best Al Bielek and Andrew Basiago, I've never been on Mars with Obama - but these guys have never offered any proof to back up their stories, while I do. Of course I didn't hear back from Dave. I don't believe he has any say over who his guests are. he is the Organ Grinder's monkey with his tin begging cup, but instead of begging for coins he begs for subscribers to Gaiam TV and Coast Insider. Meanwhile the actual Organ Grinder grinds out the same-old, same-old hog slop night after night.

I'm the perfect talk radio guest; an intelligent, articulate raconteur with a story so fantastic it verges on the unbelievable, with lots of proof to back up my story, and no desire to make money off of it. However this is not the profile of the average C2C guest which is; a bland boring huxster talking about how spiritual they are  as they fleece ignorant listeners who lack critical thinking skills. Lionel Fanthorpe is a raconteur with a wonderful voice, but I've heard his stories so many times I can recite them right along with Lionel. I didn't really think Dave read this thread, but now that I know he does, I'm wondering how he has the time to do this yet he does not have the time to read his guests books before he interviews them?

Lol I'm sure noorie will let you pimp your "medicine"
Dave loves astrologers too!

Really?  How do the shows being on back to back help Snoorge? He may want as many people as he can convince to believe it since he is a sad individual. One who no matter what or how much he has it's not enough. He has this great show but he is hear trying to win over a few listeners who don't like him. He refuses to change his short comings or seemingly even attempt to change his crumby boardcasting ways...hence he is so afraid to lose even one listener. See he knows what he can and do amd right know he is and has been at the top of his game...which we all know falls sadly short. Snoorge knows having him on back to back with AB would be the end of C2C since $ is the number one thing in biz...and when people, the listeners could compare his show to a show done by AB, do you feally think anyone would tune into his debacle?  Honestly he puts out an extremely inferior product and has suceeded because there has been no direct competition. So when one could hear them back to back...he's done! Does anyone think they would listen to a dave show covering the same guests or topics over an AB show? No way. That's why he couldn't have the two shows cover the same guests anywhere in the same time frame. Think about some of the questions he asks and than have the same show with Art asking the same guests his questions. ..com'on man...he'd be done in a heartbeat.  AB on the air means dave would have to bring his A game...problem is we've heard his best for 10 yrs. It doesn't get better than this.  He knows it. That's why he has to scheme and back stab to keep his show the only one on the air.

So this guy sounds like he took Zelazny's Amber Chronicles really seriously.
The unicorn was the symbol of the royal family, and Oberon was the king of the family lost in other planes of shadow earth.
Can he also walk through shadow?

Does he save thousands a year on long-distance charges by calling his friends and loved ones with a deck of Tarot cards?

(The Amber series was pretty much my entire adolescence. My dad made sure of that. OH GOD THE CORWINS NO!)

Its been a while but I thought Oberon destroyed his tarots.

I have a feeling this guy would use Tarot to communicate, I guess I will have to read up on Wizard Zell's work.
Also is there an abbreviation for wizard similar to how we use Mr./Mrs./Esq.?

He probably did; it's been a good ten years since I read the Amber books. Please don't tell my dad.
