Since C2C likes to poach guests and after their latest stunts I have an idea. We could email all their upcoming guests just to remind them how slimy, dishonorable and untrustworthy snoory is. Just give them a forewarning about the guy. It is the least we can do.

Good idea. However, I suspect many guests - and this was confirmed by a recent guest NMN spoke to - would say that regardless of their private feelings about Dave, if you have a book or some other product, or just an idea or profile, to promote and publicize, the reach of Coast as a show makes it too good an opportunity to miss.

Maybe at some level George realizes there is no point for him to even try to improve, but it's odd that he puts so much effort into everything except doing what he was hired to do - hosting the show.

The Castro moment was a memorable piece of Nooriness. A woman, from memory by the name of Cindy, had called The Numbers Lady with a genuine tale of woe about her life and specifically her husband, who is suffering from depression. Glynis, to her credit, genuinely engaged with the caller to ask more questions about her spouse and offer advice based on her reading of his numbers. Noory, meanwhile, clearly cuts Cindy adrift, and begins telling Cindy how depression and stress can make people look older and how he, the great and sage Herr Professor Doktor Noory, can tell just by looking at someone if they're suffering from depression. Glynis offered some dumb advice about watching comedies and listening to upbeat music to put you in a happy place. It was at this point, apropos of absolutely nothing, that Noory opined:
'I don't know the birth date of Fidel Castro'
Well, I doubt many people, very possibly including Fidel Castro these days, do. But it was one of those Noory 'Whaaaaaat??' moments. Why is he saying this? What does it have to do with anything at all? Noory continued:
'Because some people have asked me to go to Cuba and interview him, and we may try to work that out, that would be great.'
One can only imagine what was happening in Glynis' brain at that moment, but credit to her, she dealt with it pretty well. Noory went so far as to ask Tommy 'back in LA' to 'wiki Fidel' and find his birth date, which Tommy duly did. And Glynis read his numbers as though this in some way cast light on whether Dave should set sail for Havana immediately.
Quite extraordinary. Take a back seat, Frost-Nixon: Noory-Castro is here! Who are these 'some people'? I know everyone here would be happy for Dave to disappear to Cuba for a very long time. And I think we can all imagine how the interview goes. Starting, of course, with
'I'm here with Fidel Castro. Heeey, Fido! How are yooouuu?'
to
'So what got you into this revolutionary dictatorship thing in the first place, Fidel?'
all the way through to
'So, Fidel, what's next for youuuu?'
And I'm sure my fellow Gabbers can flesh out a few more timeless moments from the interview of the century

   Steve Kates (Dr. Sky, talking about comets) knows how to do the "news segment" thing.  He comes in strong, knows what he wants to say, and signs himself off before George can rudely beat him to it.  Well done.  Listening to him also reminded me that we haven't heard from Richard C. in a bit.  Has he been on since doing DM?  Perhaps he's been a bad man.  A very bad man.  Talking to Michael Maloof about EMP's and solar flares, and the havoc they can do to our electrical infrastructure, George wondered, "would it also effect Facebook, and Twitter?"  No, George.  Facebook and Twitter have their own backup generators.  Civilizational breakdown be damned.  I didn't understand anything David Sereda was saying about planetary frequencies, may God bless him and the inter-galactic beings he communicates with.  It's been a few weeks since we got a "sound off."  Tonight's was about that positive earth vibes lovey-dovey inner self crap that gets us nowhere.  Was that a live version of Bad Moon Rising?  Tricky George.

Some of you have sent me personal messages regarding my help/support for Art if he choses to return.
I have already contacted Sirius/XM to express my endorsement of an Art Bell/Coast Channel on 104. I didn't get a no.
If Art wants to merely stream, I would assist him there as well in any way I can. And lastly I still stand by my offer to him (as I did when he was first on Dark Matter) to invite him on Coast to Coast to discuss his new show, etc. I got no response to that.
I would like nothing more than for him to enjoy his career because without him, Id not be where I am today.
Ive taken many hits from you regarding the show and that's ok. We can all grow and fine tune, but to blame us for knocking Art off the air is unfounded and quite simply inaccurate. We were coming back to Sirius/XM regardless of whether Art quit or stayed.
If he emails me and wants some assistance, Ill be there for him.
Any other issues, Id gladly address once MV decides to put me on the coastgab podcast.
Until then keep up the fight.
