Why do you doubt my sincerity. Yes I called SOME of you haters, and those who have posted extremely mean spirited things are and they know who they are. You probably know who as well. Why did this take so long to pop in, I actually expected to be attacked on all fronts yesterday and it didn;t happen.

Like I said last night, we have 10 people who love us to the 1 who does not, but it's the one who doesnt that I learn from. Not the true hater, I cant learn from them , but many many of you who listen day in and day out,---that's who I want to listen to.

Was it timed to Art's show, not at all. HOWEVER it was a wake up call for me. I have fought back at those who have emailed
rude and insincere remarks, that's me. BUT NEVER will I take the first volley.

If someone doesnt think they can grow and learn everyday then they are kidding themselves. Bellgabers, I am far from perfect
and realize that I can get better. A few things you DONT know. I was born with a someone deformed tongue. Dont laugh!!!
You should have heard me as a boy. It took me years to challenge myself to talk before a crowd, etc. I did that and Im dam proud of that, my military career (yes Ive said before I never saw combat) and the people I care deeply for.

And yes that includes many of you. Im not Art, I'll never be Art so dont compare me to him. Ive kept this show alive when it was near death. We have grown it and now I'll take your pointers and make myself even better. Gotta run

George, I am glad you made this post. I, for one, did not know these things about you and am glad you are sticking up for yourself. I also respect you for saying you want to and strive to improve. I think we can all stand to improve and anyone who says they're perfect is a perfect liar. I am a huge Art Bell fan but I am also a Coast to Coast fan and it makes me sad to read people saying such cruel and mean things to you and about you. You don't have to hate one host just to be a fan of another. Blessings to you, George. Keep your head up.

I guess you have not been listening to George Noory very long.  And, no one compared him to Art Bell except that Art is intrigued with his guests and George is just paying them lip service.  In addition, George, who originally came out as apolitical, has become very right wing Christian and he is not very good at it.

The worst part about Art Bell (and someone else said this too), is that he makes George look more disingenuous then he already appeared before 16 Sept.  Listening to George now makes me cringe.  I heard him the other night with that storyteller from the UK; George cut him off several times, and behaved like he was doing him a big favor.

George,

You don't compare yourself to Art, so why don't you change the show from Coast 2 Coast? After so many years, so much work making it your own, and as you have said, building it back up, why not change the name of the show. Until then, you will always be compared to Art.

If you can't change the name or aren't allowed to, then is it really your show?

He is apparently too much of a coward to do that.
The name of the show should be different, he shouldn't use any of Art's old bumper music and the format should be different too.
But no, if anything in recent months Noory has used even more of Art's old bumper music selections than before...

I used to agree with this sentiment and fight with the haters over it and I still don't see what would have been wrong with two shows to listen to instead of just one. And, to his credit, George did seem to listen and for a while incorporated some of the constructive criticism here into the show. I don't think George is dumb and I don't think he's Hitler, instead I think he's a guy that's run out of hours in the day trying to run a full-time plus radio show, a TV show, media and social appearances and focus on becoming a celebrity. The quality of all suffers when you try to do too much, and there's little question that Noory was better in the past than he is now.

But then that goddamned George just HAD to have Oates on. That blew my sentiments out of the water. Now he just looks like a guy who allowed the celebrity and corporate atmosphere to rot his soul. George should take a sabbatical and head out and really explore the paranormal. Go stand around at Area 51's gate and see the security team. Head to god knows where and watch the natives fire walk. See a ghost. Then come back and stay as far away from the corporate and Hollywood influence as he possibly can. Then he'd be able to do a good show in this genre:

GN: This is George Noory, live in a sweat lodge in the mountains of New Mexico where I will be soon be ingesting peyote in order to embark on a spiritual journey to meet God. Taking the Peyote now ....

Tribal Elder: Do you see the great earth spirit?

GN: Well, I see someone. Wait. It's Rick James!

Tribal Elder: Oh for Christ's sake, I told you in the car that you shouldn't listen to dance music before this.

GN: Superfreak! Superfreak!

Tribal Elder: God damn it. Tommy, cut the feed and go to best of. Can't take this guy anywhere.

The above was so well written that I am not sure I can add much but this: Dave seems to me to be at
his very best? when he is doing a political show or a medical show. While those are not my thing, he does
seem engaged with those topics. Maybe it is just a case of his not liking Paranormal topics so he does not
pay much attention.

Falkie2013

Yeah he could rename the show Suck To Suck.

And we know George is NOT Art.
He couldn't ever approach the level of professionalism and proficiency that Art has.
And never has for that matter.
As for keeping the show alive when it was near death, given what you've done to drag the show down to its current state of being the laughing stock of nationwide radio, how could any thinking person think that is was alive in its present state ?
The show has grown to be the Chernobyl of late night talk radio.
Quit and move on until all that will be remembered of you is that you truly blew an opportunity to continue the legacy of a show that was different, unique and covered paranormal topics and not how you met some * HOLLYWOOD * star in an elevator.
Nor was it for promotion or self aggrandisement.
Art didn't go around the country and say  " Hey, look at me. I'm Art ! "
But you do at every opportunity and it makes you look like someone who is crying out for attention and then complains when people tell him that he's being a fool by doing it.
And you've shown absolutely no indication that you could improve your broadcasting or interviewing skills now or in the future.
Your verbal gaffes and flubs, your way of cutting off guests and so much more prove that instead of getting better over 10 years any skills you may have had as the Chickenhawk had completely atrophied long ago so that by now only your dinosaur publicity seeking brain controls your actions.
Go away.
Far away.
I'm tired of your noise pollution.
I'd sooner listen to static or an old Conelrad broadcast.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HWqrK5yFD8

WSJ in DETROIT did a better job doing this than any show you've ever did.

( The dramatization is pretty good. They knew how to do radio drama back in the old days ! ).
I wonder if anything is broadcasted on 640kc or 1240 kilocycles now that they use the EBS.

All he really has to do is listen while the guest and callers are talking - really focus on what they are saying, and listen to every single syllable - and ask good follow up questions.  Let them talk and encourage them to continue on an interesting topic, and change to the next the subject when they are starting to ramble.

Just doing that he'd be 1,000 times better.  I don't know how many different ways there are to say it to him.

No one ever said they didn't want more than one show.  They said George Noory is unlistenable.

That he had Oates on is interesting - and additional suckage - but it didn't really move the needle.

First of all, I am pretty sure you telling me to "blow" someone is against some rules here, but I digress.

Second of all, you must not have read any of my posts on Art Bell's thread or even months earlier on this thread. I simply feel sorry for the guy being on the receiving end of such hate just for sucking at his job. I have been listening to C2C for 20 years, I have been a caller twice. I know eactly what is "wrong" with the show today and am thankful for my newly aquired Sirius XM subscription. Now that you have been further informed, I expect to see more respectful responses (if any) from you as your previous ones were uncalled for. I was simply being human and having compassion for someone who is less than perfect since the last time I checked NO ONE is perfect, including you.

This post actually made me laugh really loud (quite a feat after reading bmcintyre's post to me telling me to "blow" someone...What a neanderthal.)! I could not agree with you more, and I did not take the whole Oates incident into account when I replied to George. I was just sending a human response to someone who has been shredded on here (some of it rightly so, i.e. having Oates as a guest). I've made countless posts on here and Art Bell's thread so I never thought I'd be confused with being a "fan" of George, but I digress. Anyway, thank you for the introspective and quite hylarious response! You've a talent there, you know. :)

I actually thought that your comment based upon George's very old message here, was a joke.  But, you do understand that this is not the "Lets be Kind to Incompetent George" thread?  I have not been on much since the 16th bec of work but am always surprised re comments like yours.  If I felt that George was being treated unfairly, I would not post my comments here.

That said, and while everyone has probably talked about this already, I listened again to Art interviewing RCH.  What was the deal with George texting RCH during the interview?  Art kept having to define that they were having friendly discourse, not an argument.  George's idea of discourse is defined by MV at the top of this thread.
