I turned C2C on tonight after the new Art Bell show (so awesomely weird to be able to say that) and instantly heard George bragging about being in the Navy and how he was ALMOST a Commander if he stayed a year longer or some such thing.

Heard THAT one.  I've never heard of anyone making Commander after 9 years -- unless it was in wartime (like WWII) and the officer in question was some kind of monster whiz kid or something.  But in the post-Vietnam peacetime Navy?  No friggin' way!  Eshpeshully a PIO reserve weekend warrior like George!!  What George didn't say was that "stripe" he so coveted and wouldn't wait one year for was probably his 2nd stripe -- that of a Lieutenant....

By the way, what a contrast in the two shows:  Art's probing questions and great conversation with Dr. Kaku -- as if he'd never left the air -- and George's occasional innocuous comments to The Long Walker (Steve Quayle) and his Red Bull-and-crank-induced jabbering and blabbering.

No contest.  It was the big leagues vs class D.

George is bound to get better now.  Just listen or have someone listen to Art's show, and when that same guest comes on C2C later ask the same questions.

Valdez. Your show summaries have always been one of NMN's favourite features here. Unsung, but always looked for. A very belated thank you.
We all seem to have tuned in at the same time! I also heard the Navy remarks. He's like a speaking toy with a pull-string in his back. So tediously predictable, and you know exactly what he's going to say before he says it.
I think Dave went in as a Lieutenant by virtue of his degree and would have reached L Commander in another year. Just a de facto service thing and, as already observed, as a weekend reservist in PR, completely meaningless.
Suck on, Dave.
And Valdez, as remarked, if you have a computer, you can get Art's show. You pay the subscription (or start with the free trial) and pay an additional amount - $3.50 pm, I think - to listen online.

Some might attempt to churn such a thing because they work for premrat.  But anyone who has listened to Art interview hoaxland in the past understands that there is a vast difference between a dave infomercial and an Art Bell interview.

heheh... this is all we should post here now... links to arts shows.  I gotta say it must be a rough time for George.  Articles explaining his name is forever bound to the word sucks, the comments on C2C's fartbook, and all of the pro-Art Bell buzz must have him thanking gawd and all of the anjels that he was able to squeeze one last contract in before he disappears into temporary local weatherman obscurity. 

George... listen to Arts program from wayback on how to disappear and then DO IT.  Start a new life somewhere "thuh haterz" and your soiled reputation might not follow you.  You need witness protection, plastic surgery, and a severe case of amnesia.  Ah wait you already have amnesia...

Yeah well the point is that I don't enjoy it. But paying to listen to Art Bell who used to be free who I've already heard for years and years is not going to happen. I'd rather see new people come in all the time. Besides it's not really a race, because its like comparing apples and oranges, Dark Matter as a show is its own thing, and regardless of Noory, Coast is its own thing. It's like saying you'd only watch one Late Night TV show when there are a bunch of them and they mostly all suck anyway.
