I've been following this thread since the night I "coincidentally" tuned into c2c after not listening to it for years.  This caller (Bateman) asked the pinnacle question.  Would gn go on Art's show?  gn's retort apparently has gone viral, and this Thread has gone turbo, Woo-Hoo!

The posts are awesome.  I'm at the point where adult diapers are sometimes necessary as I am laughing so hard.  There is some great stuff here.  I wouldn't be surprised if some of you didn't collaborate and publish portions of this thread.  I know I'd buy a copy.

real quick. I have ALWAYS run AB bumper music for the past 10plus years.
I pick 55% of the songs my board op picks the rest.
Is there a specific song...we try to vary it ...its there a specific song????or two so I can give you an answer

  Noory has not run Art's bumper music much at all until recently.  Once in a while he's played one of Art's songs, but lets be honest.  It's only been the last few weeks, and the past few nights in particular, that every song is one of Art's.  There's lots of edgy songs to pick from that would work with coast.  Why not try being creative?  Why the stinginess on your part?  I think it mean spirited playing all of Art's favorites when you know he is returning. It is what it is.

  The recent increase in playing Art's bumper music in conjunction with his return displays a lack of confidence in your own ability to add creative flair to your show. What do you have to lose but gain a few more fans if you dared to jump off the coat tails of Art.  Saying the music is part of the company is passing the buck.
  Your have an opportunity that's staring you right in the face.    I'd say the recent increase in playing Art's music is nothing more than a reflection of your own discomfort regarding his return.  The music screams "I'm scared Art is coming back. I have to play his music so I can be like him".   I sure don't want to see you trying to be more like Art.  I can't take you seriously Mr Noory if you refuse to take your show seriously via neglecting your guest's time and their topics.
  You have these guests who prepare tirelessly night after night in order to be able to present a decent portrayal of their material on your show.  You treat them and their material like trash really.  You don't prepare, you don't present them with thoughtful questions, you change the topic at the peak intensity of their points.  So... is it any surprise that this thread is merely a reflection of your own disregard and disrespect of the coast show.
