This is so pathetic and sad.

I have been under the Illusion that this forum was made up of guys like me who think Noory ruined a great radio show - by being lazy, never actually reading guests books - asking inept questions etc.

Apparently Its made up of giddy teenagers who are bowled over and turn on their principles in an inch because someone (moderately) famous shows up.

Sucking up to Mr Noory is not going to help the situation. It just makes it worse.

Noory you are intellectually lazy, you have been given a national show and are wasting your talent by not stretching yourself intellectually.

Such a waste!

This thread should be re-named "The GN giddy shout-out's thread"

I want to join your team. :) I saw through it the whole time and couldn't agree more.

NoMoreNoory

If I might come back to the purpose of this thread for a moment, I wanted to comment on the people who were rushing to congratulate Dave on a great interview about Superman. It's not the first time that a smart, articulate guest who knows his subject inside out has made Noory look vaguely competent. But it was very obvious that The Snooron had not read Larry Tye's book, had only the vaguest awareness of the comics and that his principle points of contact with The Man Of Steel were the TV series and Richard Donner's movie. Leopard's don't change their spots. Form is temporary, class (or total lack of it in Dave's case) is permanent. Upping his game? Erm, no. Not at all. There is no doubt about it.

GEORGE NOORY SUCKS.

and, homos!  I love it.  gay paranoid pussies is too fucking much for me to handle.  it sucks you are fans of the Great Art Bell.  I hate the idea that while I will be tuning in to him you'll be out there listening with me.  Go suck off GEORGE NOORY a bit more.

Your posts are so much better when read in the South Park bus driver voice.

Honestly I'm not at all surprised nor impressed that "George" is now posting here.  It's disingenuous at best. Phoning it in for the last 8 years, pointing fingers, blaming everyone else but yourself and your crew. Now it's "aw hey let's be friends. I'm really a nice guy. Look at the good job I'm doing now. " In reality all it is is damage control. Forced. Play nice and maybe they will leave us alone. It's all part of the new PR campaign (ie: more Art-ish type music) to try and win people over.

Getting excited about George doing his job reminds me of an old Chris Rock skit about guys wanting credit and bragging about shit they are supposed to do.

Chris Rock is hilarious in that concert.

Sorry, Roy.  It's a salute to MV's acknowledgement of Eddie's holy jihad.

"Roy?  Who's Roy???"

Ahh [even more humble and brought back down to earth Roy].  The "Eddie's holy jihad" is over my head...

I hope it's not true what some members are speculating. I would absolutely be crushed if this forum were to be split, then die just because GN came to talk to us. Seriously, this is my favorite forum to visit and MV has done an awesome job. Lets just watch what happens with C2C and be cautiously optimistic. Time will tell.

Agreed!

No more Noory, you are a very small prick of a man, if a man at all.  You have been so bloody rude to me that I have just had it with you.  Do not refer to me, do NOT quote me.  Go have a wank and take the rest of the day off.  I love Mr. Bell and have no personal reason to hate Mr. Noory you fool.  I have every right to be here too.

Any one into Longmire?  Can you believe he is an Aussie?

Wrong once again. If you refer back to the earliest NMN post, you will be aware that there are two of us who post under the moniker. A couple. A man and a woman. Who are both in full agreement with everything that gets posted under NoMoreNoory.

Your MO is all too familiar. Nice try though.

No one presents so consistently that there is no deviance in their overall behavior. Noory by Art's assessment is a nice guy. Noory has done some shitty things on air. I think a few of them are due to his lack of self awareness. But Noory had nothing to gain by posting here. Yet he did, and he wasn't snide. Granted if he had been, it would not have served well for his side.

I see a great deal of contentious behavior and when one side wants to apologize, the status quo is disrupted, and there is little forgiveness offered. Nothing gets settled in that scenario. And being a bad host isn't reason for blood letting. And if one can't look to amend any type of relationship then the real issue is not with the bad radio host.

No one here needs to like Noory. But with Art's new show and Noory stating he wants to change... holding onto the anger may seem right, but it isn't.

"Ive kept this show alive when it was near death. We have grown it and now I'll take your pointers and make myself even better" from GNoory, earlier today.

Mr. Noory,
Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, sir, I call bullshit on you.  This statement from you says it all.  Noory grasped not the repercussions of his ways.

SnapT

Still holding out hope for an all-comics version of C2C.  COVER TO COVER WITH GEORGE NOORY!

We'll get paranormal high strangeness with Art at 7pm, and then we'll be reading funny books by flashlight under the covers with George at 10pm.

Truly, the best of both worlds.

I'm on this thread because my bf likes listening to c2c.  He works nights.  I like listening to Art Bell, any time.  I jumped in here because Mr. Noory came to "This Thread."  I wanted to tell my bf what he was saying, etc. over the phone.

I love my moniker.  Thought it might even calm down some of the hatred happening but that was apparently another mistake I made.  I also have no interest in being on the other threads some rude asses recommended for me.  I have been nice.  I hold no suck grudges but clearly when you listen to somebody who sucks so badly and then just keep talking about it you may need clonazepam.

I can post here til the owner of this website says otherwise.  I believe we have freedom of speech in a lot of countries.  I didn't sign an agreement to be a nasty red headed bitch when I joined in so stop quoting me if you can't be decent.

I am not sure who you are addressing. I wasn't rude or disrespectful. Free to post is the same for all, often people will counter another's post... it sometimes isn't an easy ride. Better put on some long pants if you think others will always be decent.

Growing up with red hair you get told a lot of BS about your personality relating to the color of your hair. Even in adulthood try to have a constructive disagreement and you get "WOW, I CAN REALLY TELL YOU'RE A REDHEAD". It's a cop out and  lame. I just think it's sad to see another female like myself (or any person really) give into stereotypes to try and make nice with others :-\

The forum will be fine, the interlopers will be excised, and September is just around the corner.
I'm quite serious about the ignore list.  Clonazepam is the chemical name for an anti-anxiety med, and the posts are causing anxiety for you.  Possibly this new person is a premrat here to cause anxiety perhaps she is just unwell herself, in either case putting her on the ignore list smooths things right out.

Well, this has gotten too strange for me.

And isn't that all that really matters?  Who would have ever thought we'd get to take that ride, one more time?  (Ft. Rock doesn't count)

Jorch is just an irrelevant annoyance at this point.  Something to point at and snicker, to while away a few moments with some frivolity.  Kind of like picking fuzz from your belly button.

Goatsy is hanging in there! George remember him for the Friday prayer list.

Glad to hear he's hanging in there!  I know how difficult that can be, just went through it.

Let's not go on a witch hunt.  If someone is respectful on this forum I see no reason to persecute them.  If someone isn't respectful of others here or hijacks the thread then persecute away, or better just ignore.

Here's something to lighten the mood.  How many people remember Dave telling the story of how he drove off with the gas pump handle still in his car?  Now that's funny stuff right there.  I think that's why he has Tommie help him so much now.

bmcintyre

Yes, while all panties are in a twist, can I call someday for a discussion of Rods?
I loved rods.  And, what about the time travelers and that guy who used to create Jacob Ladders?  I want this all back with Art.  Art really enjoyed these discussions.  "Mr. Noory" would not do interviews like this.  The dulcet tones of Art Bell.  Counting down the days!

I knew them as Klonopin. Nothing like some Klonnies and OC's to wind down the day with.

I had that happen to me when I used to work at a gas station.  I was too busy and took the customer's money before removing the nozzle, and he drove off.  Maybe it was George?

before self serve... I bet every gas station had at least one story.

Fortunately, I've only just left the gas cap off and hanging as I've driven off into the sunset.  I always appreciate the driver who pulls up alongside, madly waving at me.  After I realize they're not a deranged, crazed stalker, I wave in appreciation and pull over as soon as I can to fix the problem.

I own an unopened copy of that comic. The one where he kills superman.
Of course we all know how much we got duped on that.
